- Unlike the previous Pitch Perfect films, this installment has a hostage and a rescue mission (played for comedic effect). No blood and no gore, but there are explosions and mayhem played as slapstick humor.
- The last third of the movie feels like a load of action movie tropes with Rebel Wilson as an action hero fighting people for comedic effect.
- A man tries to murder a woman with a knife but is knocked out. The scene also contains a fight with knives and frying pans. Quite violent but no blood.
