CBS has ordered action pilot The International, starring Dolph Lundgren and produced by Sylvester Stallone.
Dolph Lundgren has been putting in a lot of work with onscreen Rocky IV rival Sylvester Stallone ever since their reunion in 2010’s The Expendables, which yielded sequels and substantially improved opportunities. Indeed, this imminently-ending decade has seen a proper comeback for the ‘80s action icon; a comeback that will shift to the small screen as the star of a TV project, with Stallone involved.
The International is the newly-revealed title of said TV project, which – in the latest development – has procured an order by CBS. The move is the culmination of some solicitation after the hourlong action pilot, with Lundgren set as its star, was shopped around back in August by Tony Krantz’s Flame Ventures, reported Deadline.

Barring a number of forgettable gigs in the vein of Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and Kindergarten Cop 2, it’s been a while since we’ve seen Hollywood veteran Dolph Lundgren appear in a major tentpole. That all changes in 2018, though.
With Creed II set to herald the long-anticipated return of Ivan Drago (“if he dies, he dies”), Lundgren also has a role to play in Aquaman, the James Wan-directed solo movie that’s poised to follow in the footsteps of Justice League. He’ll play Nereus, warrior king of Xebel, opposite Jason Momoa’s Atlantean, and Dolph Lundgren recently posted a new behind-the-scenes photo on Twitter (via Cbm) that shows him in training.
And, well, let’s just say the towering Swede will be bringing some serious physicality to the role of Nereus, as below you’ll see Lundgren performing a leg kick with one of the film’s stunt doubles.

Even if they don’t hold the same clout as, say, Stallone and Schwarzenegger, Van Damme and Lundgren are two names that are often revered in Hollywood’s action scene, and over the years fans have lapped up their on-screen battles in the likes of Universal Soldier and its widely derided sequel, Universal Soldier: Regeneration.
But it appears Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are ready to let bygones by bygones, for The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the duo has been cast in Black Water, a new action-thriller in which they’ll play on-screen allies for the very first time. No director is attached just yet, but THR reveals that the script by Chad Law revolves around a “deep cover operative (Van Damme) who awakens to find himself imprisoned in a CIA black site on a submarine.” Little is known about Lundgren’s involvement, but we assume his character...

The 1990 cult classic monster movie Tremors has spawned four sequels (with another on the way) but are they any good?
This article contains spoilers for the assorted Tremors movies.
You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who hates Tremors. In fact, while I was watching these sequels I ran a quick poll online asking people to choose their favourite 90s monster movie and Tremors won in an absolute landslide – leaving even the much-beloved Gremlins 2 in the dust.
The original cost a rather humble $11 million to make and made $5 million profit at the box office. Not a huge amount, but its subsequent popularity on home release and TV means that, 26 years later, we’ve just received word that a sixth instalment has gone into production. It seems the Tremors love is still very much alive and kicking (or should that be ‘squirming’?).

With a seemingly endless amount of streaming options — not only the titles at our disposal, but services themselves — we’ve taken it upon ourselves to highlight the titles that have recently hit the interwebs. Every week, one will be able to see the cream of the crop (or perhaps some simply interesting picks) of streaming titles (new and old) across platforms such as Netflix, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, and more (note: U.S. only). Check out our rundown for this week’s selections below.
Embrace of the Serpent (Ciro Guerra)
With its focus on the effects of exploration by white men on foreign lands, Ciro Guerra’s Oscar-nominated Embrace of the Serpent will inevitably be compared to Werner Herzog’s stories of savage nature, and while Guerra is investigating some of Herzog’s most well trodden themes, the chaos of man exists in the background, while the unspoiled sit front and center here.

Update 2/16/15: We now have a trailer for Kindergarten Cop 2 starring Dolph Lundgren. It's just a tad silly. Update 8/13/15: The new Kindergarten Cop is apparently already filming in Vancouver, with Dolph Lundgren stepping in to the oversized shoes once filled by Arnold Schwazenegger. We don't actually know if he's playing Detective John Kimble or a different cop, but we do know that he has to infilitrate a kindergarten class to find a kid who is in the federal witness protection program. And not only that, but he's going to have an Indian sidekick named Sanjit this time around, which sounds amazingly antiquated in a '90s Saturday morning cartoon kind of way. Previously 6/15/15: A remake of the 1990 comedy Kindergarten Cop is on its way, but...

There comes a time in every action movie star.s career when it becomes time to play against type in a family comedy. However, some action stars apparently get to wait longer than others. Dolph Lundgren has seen something of a career resurgence thanks to the Expendables franchise. Now, the actor will be following in the footsteps of one of the other actors from that series as he takes the lead in Kindergarten Cop 2. Check out the first trailer below. It has been 25 years since the original Kindergarten Cop starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as an undercover cop who plays the role of teacher in order to find and protect a child and his mother. Now, Dolph Lundgren will take over what appears to be a nearly identical sequel. In this case, Lundgren.s character will be an FBI agent looking for missing data rather than a person, but beyond that,...

Taking up classroom duties from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “I’m a cop, you idiot!” John Kimble, Expendables co-star Dolph Lundgren struggles to get a handle on the situation in the first trailer for Kindergarten Cop 2.

It's the moment you've all been waiting for! We finally have a trailer for the most anticipated film of 2016, Kindergarten Cop 2! The film is a sequel to Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1990 action comedy, and in it, Dolph Lundgren faces off against a bunch of bratty kids as an FBI agent who is assigned to hunt down sensitive stolen data as an undercover kindergarten teacher. So, yes, "Kindergarten Cop 2" is real thing, and no, it sadly doesn't star Arnold Schwarzenegger. Instead, another action hero has taken the lead role, with Dolph Lundgren stepping in as the cop who gets his hands full with unruly kids, and you can see the result of this direct-to-video effort with the new trailer for the movie. Auteur Don Michael Paul ("Jarhead 2: Field of Fire," "Tremors 5: Bloodlines") directs this one, which is apparently a sequel, though it seems to be in name only. At any rate, the laughs here come from Lundgren's conservative cop having to go undercover at a "liberal" school. Particularly in an era when DVD sales are pretty much flatlining, I'm not sure why Universal is investing in stuff like this, but I'm guessing the reasons are far from creative. "Kindergarten Cop 2" hits DVD and Digital HD on May 17th, in case you are wildly curious.

The first photos are out from "Kindergarten Cop 2," the forthcoming sequel to the now 25-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger family action-comedy.
Universal's 1440 Entertainment, which specializes in direct-to-video sequels and reboots like "The Scorpion King 4," "Jarhead 3," "Hard Target 2" and the disturbingly named "Beethoven's Treasure Tail," are behind this follow-up which sees Dolph Lundgren taking on the part of a tough-guy law enforcement officer.
Lundgren's Agent Reed goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher to retrieve a flash drive with sensitive information stolen from the Witness Protection Program. Unlike Arnie, Lundgren's character must also face off with the school's "politically correct environment".
Don Michael Paul ("Jarhead 2: Field of Fire") helms from a script by David H. Steinberg ("American Pie 2").

Earlier this year, we learned that Dolph Lundgren was shooting Kindergarten Cop 2. I was surprised to learn that this is actually happening, and now we have some official photos from the film featuring a frustrated Lundgren yelling at kids and other awkward interactions that the actor has with them.
In the film, Lundgren plays an undercover cop posing as a kindergarten teacher who is "on the trail of a missing flash drive from the Federal Witness protection program. Somehow it’s wound up in a kindergarten class." Lundgren will also have "an Indian sidekick named Sanjit" helping him track down a group of Albanian bad guys.
It's a shame they didn't get Arnold Schwarzenegger on board to team up with Lundgren in this ridiculous sequel. As I joked about in my initial report, the next Expendables movie should be patterned after Kindergarten Cop. I have to watch this movie...

In celebrating the 25th anniversary of the original film, About.com has released a trio of new images for Kindergarten Cop 2, which find Dolph Lundgren in the title role made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger all those years ago.
Releasing straight to home video, Universal 1440 Entertainment’s long-rumored sequel dumps Lundgren in the thick of it as Agent Reed, a musclebound operative who must pose as a kindergarten teacher in order to accrue information deemed vital to his mission. It is, essentially, the same set-up as the beloved original, though the studio has teased a few surprises still to come. Starring opposite Lundgren in the feature is Bill Bellamy (Any Given Sunday, TV’s Hot in Cleveland).
Behind the lens is Don Michael Paul, who has become something of a cult sequel expert following Jarhead 2 and Tremors 5, who will be hoping that the fish out of...

When Arnold Schwarzenegger teamed up with director Ivan Reitman for the first time, the pair struck box office gold. The project that brought them together? Twins, the ultimate high concept movie, that paired Arnie with Danny DeVito. Much money was made, and Twins is one of the films that Arnie is now trying to get a sequel moving to as he attempts to pump life into his box office powers. Not much has been hgeard there for a long time, though.
Reitman and Schwarzenegger would team up for two more comedies, to which Schwarzenegger appears less interested in resurrecting. Junior would follow in 1994, but it's...
