That should be the title of this dumb TV series, I hate the characters because they are very stupid, their motivations are absurd and their personalities are flat, boring, predictable and all the synonyms in existence to describe how dreadfully dull they are and cannot wait for this repetitive ritual of nonsense to end, but it seems like this is just a hopeful thought that will never come.

I wonder how can anyone read this garbage script and say "lets put this on TV" because the amount of Deus ex machina that they use to save that dumb brat from kidnapping for the 10 billion time is infuriating, not only because they keep repeating the same plot device endlessly and expect the audience to remain interested in their story, but also because the characters are not relatable in any way because they do not learn from the events of the past, instead of having character growth, they decide to repeat the same emotional formula they displayed throughout the story. the mother remains stagnant instead of taking action, she just weeps uselessly, and the villain just keeps doing the same , it just makes me mad. How can the villain be so obsessed with a kid, I thought it more logical that the villain should be more hateful towards the mother, she just has misplaced emotions towards the wrong person.

One last thing the acting feels unnatural, from the adults to the children, especially the children who are nothing but obnoxious irritating cloy, I am overall tired of this show and cannot get behind neither the main characters or even get excited to see the villain story development because is not existing.

I want to give it -10 stars but I can't even give it 0 because this rating system won't let me :( but yeah this show is garbage.

does this review contain any spoilers? Season 1 at least has some potential because they haven't tired the same plots like in season 2 or 3 over and over and over, you get the point. I cannot spoil anything because how can you spoil a TV show with no plot.

I cannot believe she is from 21 century, not fighting for her daughter because don't want a man to know? She doesn't know her priorities? Get upset every time get home and see my aunt watching that stupid novel, I cannot understand how a woman can watch that! Clinically STUPID! They portrait the principal character and her friend as stupids, and is not for the culture, because the wife is intelligent (with bad intentions, but not STUPID). Hope the writer is not a woman. hope someone make some scripts of intelligent woman who fight for what they want! Mercy

This is one of the terrible, lame , boring , filled with too many violence to that kid elif and worst tv soap opera ever! If you'll decide to watch it don't because it's garbage and total waste of time!

Kidnappings of Elif

What even is this show? I don´t watch it at all but it´s been in our TV forever. Every time it´s accidentally playing in TV, i see that girl being kidnapped again. Every single time she´s kidnapped by different people. How many enemies can her mother have that she keeps being kidnapped all the time?? Where is the police? The whole thing seems so endless and ridiculous, lmao.

It was a good show in the beginning but then it just kept repeating the same things over and over. It needed to end ages ago but they just kept airing new seasons! Nothing good would ever come to the characters and that's all that would happen. I just can't stand to watch it anymore

Unnecessarily long

It was interesting to watch for the first season. Filled with mystery and suspense, this show promised to have the viewer on their seat and expecting the new episode. However, once it got to season two, the show started to get boring and had extremely unnecessary long drama. The main character keeps on suffering without justification and she doesn't necessarily reflects on why she got into that situation and how she could probably prevent it from happening again. It has also introduced random characters and they get more spotlight than the main ones. Not only that but it has gotten rid of some important ones without any good reason whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend this show at all.

The first thing that I didn't like it was that the directors changed actors .One example is Volcan Colpan who replaced Altug Seckiner in the role of Kenan .The first season was absolutely great ,filled with suspense.However ,the second season was really boring with the same things to be repeated.When Kenan died in the last episode of 2nd season I realize that there is not reason to watch this series

Because of my grandmom i need to give max rate.. even though the tv broadcaster gives only 15 minutes a day, she literally live for those 15 minutes...

I have not watched the full series, only bits and pieces but it never got me hooked. Interesting how something this bad has kept filming compared to other amazing turkish series, like 'erkenci kus' or 'calikusu' who stopped filming after 1 season due to not enough viewers and were left unfinished. I don't understand how the turkish people run their productions, it makes no sense...

Elif Season 1 is Great ! But Elif Season 2 and 3 very very boring and stupid..

Elif is a soap opera drama from Turkey released premiered on September 15, 2014 and directed by Fulya Yavuzoglu. Elip drama is a popular drama to air in various countries including in Indonesia. Elif Season 1's 183 episodes received a positive audience response in Indonesia until the main cast was invited to attend meet n greet .. But unfortunately the success of Elif series can not be continued in season 2, in elif season 2 the more strange story, convoluted, murder Character, until the conflict gets complicated and continues into Elif season 3 the story gets stupid, with a very flat plot until the drama is so boring .. Elif is like a drama from India that most Episodes to forget the plot is strong to support the plot of the story.

By accident (taking care for a senior) I have watched a dozen of episodes (700+). The action is going veeeery sloooowly. If you miss e.g. 4 episodes, you lose almost nothing, because there is hardly any action in between. Some scenes are even longer than expected - e.g. to show some of the characters is sad, the scene lasts a few minutes (and the character may even sing a song about that). I guess the producers are able to extend this soap opera over 1000.

Boring

I loved this series in the beginning but now it has become the most boring series, we keep watching the same thing over and over again, they keep dragging the series, the Villains keep getting away with everything and Elif and her mum keep suffering. Honestly hoe much of this can we take. I have seen much more interesting dramas that are short and nice. I love Doodsondes, Stilleto Vendeta just to name a few, please try and bring something interesting this is torture to your viewers.

I've this theory that Turkish soaps pre-2014 were better written. The quality of Turkish dramas has become lower since 2014 and Elif is the worst offender.

There are way too many episodes and seasons. Hence many episodes and scenes just drag the storyline endlessly where a character will look at another not uttering a word for what seems like 30 minutes straight or there are too many filler scenes with characters driving and driving and driving...or ridiculous storylines that make no sense like Elif's mother Melek crying for the 10000th time.

I wish Turkish soaps were as short and fast-paced as Latin American telenovelas...or at least as good as they were in the 2000s and 2010-2013.

Seriously, the camera movements, the weird turkish-looking filters, the story... i don't know why our public TV decided to broadcast this. But somehow, my mum still watches it.

When I watch I think what kind of people neglect a little girl ALL of them what kind of people allow producers to show cruelty towards innocent children ! Cast members harming a lil girl over and over even those who profess to love her hurt her including her mom wow.

This series has been playing on TV for years, and my mother keeps watching it (For God knows why to be honest). The plot? Well, there doesn't seem to be any plot. It's just a six-year-old girl's life. She's being kidnapped every now and then by different people (Which, as a matter of fact, is impossible for a mother to have so many enemies who happen to kidnap her child).

The characters aren't that special - it's just either people so ordinary you don't even give a damn or unrealistically dumb and evil. The first season seems to be fine for most people, but the rest of the seasons are just pretty bad. The whole series has over a thousand episodes (I have no idea how), despite it receiving generally negative reviews here on IMDB and probably from critics.

Anyways, this series is over-exaggerated, dull/boring and too long. Just do yourself a favor and watch something less wasteful.

The evil on all Elif's supposed to be protecting her are all to blame for exactly Not protecting her. They are as guilty as Kenan's wife. She tries to kill the lil girl they are enablers ! Its like they fake for her concern and her well being but continue to let her suffer . Its like masochism and sadism on steroids !!!!!

This is a real boring soapie, its worse than Bold & Beautiful. The same old story over and over, same caracters. Melek is so pathetic, Arsu is mad and the rest all seems to be stupid. One has to have a minus IQ to find this enjoyable. I hope it ends soon and we get something like Kruispad, whuch has a proper storyline and end. May l never see the word Elif again when it ends. The biggest nonsence get dished up for the viewers, it is shameful. It has no proper storyline, it just carries on and on with the same actions, kidnapping, breakfast, supper, hospital and police stations. Really pathetic.

Frustrating

How much drama did that writer put Elif and her mother through I mean seriously the amount of times Elif was kidnapped, either implant a tracker in that child or invest in some heavily armed bodyguards. Melek although a good person is terribly naive and only sees the good in people even when they prove time and time again they have no good side some people are just evil and no amount of goodwill will change them. That's why I hated that the character of Melih had to be written out, because Melih unlike his sister was able to see through people and see their true colours. The love between Selim and Zeynep despite going through rough patches and people trying to tear them apart and misunderstandings though it wavered at times it did hold strong in the end, and I loved that. This drama should have ended at series 2 .

It's a never ending story of a child being kidnapped, absolutely infuriating, is there even an ending to this soapie?? It's amateur acting and storyline made me quit watching.
