From a slow convoluted start Beowulf has now managed to turn into a 'must watch' tale. A fantasy tale yes! but with many twists and turns, a question of 'who does one trust' ? Surprise events, strong story line, actors settling into their roles, thus making it an enjoyable romp. Would have thought a Thursday at 7pm viewing maybe ? Game of Thrones it is not, but it is a unique Beowulf and to enhance the viewers enjoyment the introduction of computer generated mythical beasts have been expertly done and bringing in a different dimension. Again which of the beast do we trust. Rumours of no follow up sequel for next year, I hope is as mythical as the beast in Beowulf as this is now an established viewing on a Sunday night. Dig deep ITV and let the viewers have more of this quality product... good safe family viewing.
