I know jujitsu
nogodnomasters12 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Rachel (Callie Ott) is the final girl for a second time, so there is no need to try to figure that out. She is being interrogated by the police and she recalls the trip she took with her friends to the cabin in the woods, even remembering the stuff that happened when she wasn't there. The group was rather obnoxious, especially Rachel's boyfriend. I was glad to see them all die. We get to see the killer's small dainty hands with a bad manicure on the first kill. Not too hard to figure out. The poorly developed "twist" at the end has been done before and better.

Guide: F-word, sex, nudity.

Better-than-hoped-for indie slasher
Leofwine_draca2 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
WTF! is an independent slasher movie with a little more verve and vitality to it than most. I still didn't enjoy it, but it has better production values and more going for it than 99% of badly-acted, barely-efforted indie productions. This '80s throwback features some partying teenagers who are being bumped off by a person unknown, and it has a pretty decent script and some okay acting from the young cast. There's not a lot of gore here, but the FX which do occur are well staged.

Godawful tripe
curiouslyyellow23 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
OK.... I love crappy horror films, I really do, but there is a level of crappy that is unacceptable... The only thing worse than the acting is the script,it feels like some film students basically did the whole thing in a weekend. The effects aren't completely awful for the most part, but they aren't good enough to save this abomination. The 'twist' is such a basic overused premise, it's not even really a twist. I've worked on some seriously low budget horror films, now if which were as awful as this....

I'm sorry if anyone or there really liked this, or if it was someone's pet project, but i would rather spend an hour making my penis to a table than watch this film again.....

firem-3814013 August 2017
bad actors, bad story, and mostly bad producing.

totally a waste of time. You can tell the story from the beginning. I've never wasted my time like this. Actors were horrible, I mean the most. Sadly this movie is n 2017 !!

somehow they got a high rating. who is responsible ??!!

Pathetic cabin horror wannabe
missraziel9 August 2017
This movie...I have no idea how it got good reviews, unless they're by the people who made this rubbish. A cookie cut group of friends who're not at all likeable go to a cabin in the woods and amid the bad acting and shrill mindless arguing they begin to get killed, yay! I was actually happy when they began to get killed off because the whiny arguing girls and pervy guys make for a hell of a headache in this really beyond bad movie that should be avoided at all costs.

WTF did I just watch!
jerrangel0517 August 2017
There is not much to say here except for the fact that this movie was something I could barely sit through. I was looking for a somewhat decent slasher film and this film did not deliver. From the moment the opening scene happened I myself was like WTF! It's your typical cheap slasher film that comes off super corny. Horrible acting. Don't bother, you'll probably not last 5 min into this film.

A Roller-coaster Of Rat Turds
trnjamesbond20 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This film is a rat turd, I see there are 3 people from production making fake reviews again, sadly there is no way to stop idiots from production crews from writing these fake reviews.

Regardless, the characters were annoying little libtard rich kids going to a cabin in the woods so to speak, that's it you know the rest. Just stay away from this one unless your into mundane garbage such as this film.

Awful.....
runttwah4 September 2017
First off typical, cliché plot of 18 to 20 something year old students isolated in a house in the woods. It had characters you really can't care about and hope will die. Acting was adequate, not good and, no matter how hard they tried, the 'twist' I saw a mile away. The gore effects you could reproduce from a quick stop in the Halloween section of your local Walgreens. AVOID!

Decent Modern Slasher
molemandavid24 August 2017
An OK modern slasher with a few good performances and nice death scenes is hampered by a lousy, useless "twist" ending. Despite this, there are a few fun moments and bitchy one liners. There aren't any scares or suspenseful set pieces to mention and none of the characters ever rise above one dimensional cardboard cut outs.

Despite this, there's still enough in this to give slasher fans a few occasional smiles here and there. It's not bad, but it's nothing to write home about either.

Solid enough but still highly flawed slasher
kannibalcorpsegrinder11 August 2018
Heading back to her hometown, a young woman initially attending a friends' party in the wilderness finds herself subjected to another massacre after having survived a bloodbath several years earlier and must use the resources she learned previously to help save her and her friends.

This here wasn't all that bad of an effort. One of the more enjoyable elements featured here is the fact that this one really lets itself go with a rapid-fire pace that is highly engaging. Due to the short running time here, this one doesn't have much downtime where it stays really straightforward for large sections here, as the opening pool party doesn't have much beyond the need for their introduction and setting the excuse for their trip. Since the inclusion of the interviewing process is included to help speed it all along there's a convenient excuse to move it along, that helps nicely to give this a somewhat intriguing and enjoyable pace. As well, the film also manages to include some incredibly enjoyable slasher setpieces that really make this one quite fun. Starting with the remnants of the massacre at the beginning with the last remaining victims as well as the intercut sequences of the different events around her triggering the incidents of the past in the second incident, there's some solid groundwork laid-out here for going into the series of encounters in the final half. That features a slew of rather fun stalking scenes around the darkened house as the figure comes out of the darkness for some surprise attacks, leading to the confrontations in the game room, the surprise brawl in the bedroom and a fine solo attack that features some brutal action as this one leads into a somewhat decent finale. Overall, these here are what hold it up over its flaws. One of the biggest and most egregious flaws here is the utterly unlikable and just plain awful group of main characters that are just completely impossible to get into. This is among the candidates for the most unlikable group of so-called friends in the genre as they seem to exist solely to curse constantly, screw each other over at the drop of a hat and basically only there to get bumped off as nearly everything here makes you want them to get killed. The fact that they constantly force out opinions that cause everyone around them to call them perverts, openly cheat on their girlfriends all in the name of getting sexual satisfaction from somebody in the group and then waving around the exploits of cheating on each other instead of banding together to survive their ordeal as they know a killer is stalking and killing them makes them completely unlikable and despicable. As if that wasn't bad enough, the film's incredibly low-budget nature manages to undermine this at various points as well. Not only is the house cheaply furnished and just pathetic looking as a location to be, there's almost no money for any kind of traditional slasher work to be offered here. The stalking scenes, regardless of the action they pump into the pacing, are just rather limp and lifeless for the most part and keep the film from really exploiting what could've been a fun little slasher idea. The kills are shot in such darkness you don't know what's going on and even the aftermath is pretty crudely handled for the most part, and the budget as well manages to hold the finale's twist from diving into a real shock since it doesn't hit with any kind of impact. There's not even a competent idea at play in the sequence, and for the most part, it holds this one back the most along with the other big flaw.

Rated R: Extreme Graphic Language, Nudity, Graphic Violence, a brief sex scene and continuous alcohol and drug consumption.

wtf is so bad...
dionalaf-199511 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Where to start and finish... Mainly, their acting is bad, trully bad. Story has kind of interest, because you try to figure who is the killer, but there are a lot of typical and common horror movies' stuff, such as a team of friends in a house in the woods etc. And the thing I still try to understand is how the main caracter survived the first massacre and now sudently she decided to be a brutal killer.

Psychological Horror That Stands Out From Competitors.
tubular-500748 August 2017
Peter Herro's debut film, WTF! Is unlike any horror film you've seen. Each characters personality infuses the film with energy and humor - and their quirks and realistic dialogue sell the idea that we are watching a REAL group of friends going on a REAL spring break. Each characters personality grows on you, and you feel as if you are part of their gang. The dialogue is witty and original, and the acting is superb. WTF! Takes a completely different approach to the horror genre, combining genuine scares with laugh out loud humour, a sleek score with realistic VFX. If you are looking for a scary movie, that will leave you feeling 100% entertained, this is your best bet out there today.

One of the better teen-slasher, cabin-in-the-woods, movies I've seen in a long time.
erikarcher7 October 2018
Everyone from the writers, directors and actors seem to understand the sub-genre and have leaned into it; they look like they had fun making this movie.

For the most part, there's a lot of formula here but it's intentional and I was impressed with the subtlety of some of the jokes, the ability of the actors to be loveably dumb, and the creativity (and practical effects) of the death scenes- they made me wince more than once! Throw on top of that a satisfying ending and you get a gem of a teen slasher.

Worst movie ever
aligrew6 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was so bad but I kept watching because the characters are so horrible, I was looking forward to finally getting to see them killed. How in the world did this group of friends become "friends"? They all seem to hate each other, except when they randomly begin to hump each other and get weirdly naked together. Even the main character who we are supposed to sympathize with is annoying and one of the worst actors I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and watch something else.

Wouldn't die for this spring break
TheLittleSongbird10 June 2018
Was drawn into seeing it, with a cool poster/cover, an slightly intriguing but very derivative premise and as someone with a general appreciation for horror. That it was low-budget, which from frequent personal experience is rarely a good sign due to that there are so many poor ones out there, made me though apprehensive.

It is sadly however yet another film seen recently, hence some reiteration because the exact same strengths and flaws those films are present here, that to me was incredibly disappointing considering its potential which it doesn't do anywhere near enough with. As a film it's terrible, with a plethora of problems (huge ones too) and doesn't do enough with its potential, which was hardly small. There is next to nothing to recommend and it is a sleeper.

Lets start with the sole positive. The scenery is atmospheric and spooky.

Unfortunately, it is not done justice by the rather direct to video schlocky way it's shot and edited, it was very clear that the film was made in a rush with no care or enthusiasm.

Going on further to the negatives, the story does feel paper thin, disjointed and over-stretched and some of it feels vague, under-explained in the last third where the film especially became duller, more predictable, more senseless and less scary. Too many characters are too sketchy and with nowhere near enough to make one want to endear to them. Their annoying and illogical decision making and behaviours frustrates.

Making the film feel bland and forgettable with not enough heart put into it. The effects are ropy at best, the sound quality is obvious and utilised cheaply (being too loud in the build ups and people's reactions) and it's best not mentioning the uniformly lumbering and histrionic acting.

Dialogue can be stilted and rambling, with lots of clichés and no depth whatsoever, while the pace goes to a standstill very quickly and drags on forever with very little going on worth caring about, never recovering. Found too many the supposedly shocking moments not surprising or scary and the supposedly creepy atmosphere dreary, due to the excessive obviousness, a lot of dumb and vague moments and explanations and the lack of tension and suspense. Would not have minded the lack of originality (the film is extremely derivative and in a dumbed and watered down way) if the story and atmosphere were at least alright in execution, in reality they were both dreadfully done. Not to mention a whole novel's worth of inconsistencies and continuity errors.

There are a good deal of underdeveloped plot elements and often nonsensical and confusing character motivations, while too many of the things to make you jump or shocked are far from creative or scary and are pretty tame. The ending can be seen from miles away and has a twist so ludicrous that the viewer's feelings mirror the film's title.

There is not enough threat here and what there is of it tends to be used poorly, it is completely unimaginative, very repetitive and more odd than creepy, completely failing to show any sense of horror and resorting to cheap typical horror tropes. Some badly sagging momentum too. The direction is leaden, inexperience seems to be all over the film, and the music doesn't really fit. Lets not get started on the far from creative and shaking the head worthy kills and especially the gratuitous and cheap-looking gore.

Concluding, near-irredeemably awful. 1/10 Bethany Cox

Must See Thriller!!
runquist_richard18 August 2017
I definitely want to see this movie again!! It was "over the top" hilarious!! Thought the story was well written, and considered it more of a "psychological" thriller!! Anyone who enjoys horror/slasher movies will definitely "get" this one!! Special effects were pretty astounding, and the resolution and clarity of the photography was amazing!!! I also found the "graghics" at the end in the credits were "unbelievable"!!

Thoroughly Entertaining...
jessemcadam9 August 2017
I was expecting your run-of-the-mill slasher flick. Buckets of blood, Abercrombie models, and horrible acting that made me want to shut it off after the typical - 'We're all gonna die!' line - but 'WTF!' takes a totally different approach. 'WTF!' Is smart, hilarious, well acted and staged - but most importantly, I found 'WTF!' to be deeply psychologically disturbing. It is beautifully shot, and is definitely a movie I would watch more than once - you almost have to - to catch that twist ending...
