Zorro and Expats are the big shows coming to Prime Video in January. The former is what Amazon are calling a “bold reinterpretation” of the classic hero El Zorro for 2024. Starring Miguel Bernardeau as Diego de la Vega and Renata Notni as Lolita Marquez, it’s definitely an intriguing-sounding action-adventure series, with a ten-episode first season based on the iconic character originally created by Johnston McCulley all the way back in 1919.
Meanwhile, upcoming drama series Expats is based on the bestselling 2016 novel The Expatriates by Janice Y. K. Lee, and follows “the vibrant lives of a close-knit expatriate community” in Hong Kong. Nicole Kidman has been known for picking the right kind of shows to lead in the past, so let’s hope this is another banger for the actress, who is also on board as an executive producer here.

If you’re wondering what’s new on Amazon Prime Video in June, the answer is a lot. The streamer has a solid slate of movies heading into summer 2023. From the first two “Creed” films to “Love, Rosie,” “Yours, Mine & Ours” and other clever romantic comedies, the streamer has a range of options for viewers with different tastes. Newer theatrical releases arriving on the streamer in June include “TÁR,” “Armageddon Time,” and “M3GAN.”
TV premieres to look forward to include Boots Riley’s “I’m A Virgo” and the fourth and final season of John Krasinski’s “Jack Ryan.” “Crazy Rich Asians” arrives early in June, followed by “Interstellar” for all Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey lovers. Even though “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” doesn’t release in theaters until November, all four “Hunger Games” films land on Prime Video this June. Perfect timing — maybe even with a reread...

With its list of new releases for June 2023, Prime is bringing a handful of Amazon Originals and many recent movie hits to the fold.
It’s actually quite a busy month for non-American programming in Amazon Originals department. Shows and movies like Deadloch, My Fault, and Medellín all originate from outside the U.S. and U.K. For the American and British crowd, however, the streamer is debuting two big tentpoles.
The first is I’m a Virgo on June 23. Acclaimed director Boots Riley’s TV followup to Sorry to Bother You will tale the surreal and satirical tale of a giant in Oakland. That will be followed by the more conventional (assumedly) fourth season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan on June 30.
The real fireworks this month come from a ludicrously deep bench of library TV and movie titles. Give them a look for yourself below but if we were to highlight just a few,...

The fourth and final season of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” arrives on Prime Video on June 30. It finds Ryan — now the new acting CIA director — unearthing internal corruption and suspicious black ops that leaves the United States vulnerable to attack. John Krasinski stars as the tough-as-nails Ryan.

“Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets” is a new docuseries that reveals the truth behind the myth of the wholesome religious family and their involvement with the predatory Bill Gothard and The Institute in Basic Life Principles. The organization’s abusive practices — and the insidious long political game it plays — is revealed on June 2. The Duggars and their 19 “happy” kids are exposed as frauds, while also being manipulated by Gothard and enduring the scandal of Josh, their sexually abusive son.

Though the summer movie season is winding down (if it ever really started this year), Amazon Prime’s list of new releases for September 2021 is chock full of worthwhile movie options.
For starters, Amazon’s library movie titles are quite good this month. September 1 sees the arrivals of heavyweights such as Apollo 13, Arachnophobia, Romeo + Juliet, The Descent, and The Social Network. And if that weren’t enough, the streamer is trying out some intriguing original movies as well. Cinderella, a modern update on the classic fairy tale, premieres on September 3. That will be followed by “exotic thriller” The Voyeurs (Sept. 10), musical adaptation Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Sept. 17), and French thriller The Mad Woman’s Ball (Sept. 17).

The stillborn European Super League (Esl) soccer championship, which made global headlines in April before dying a swift death, will be the subject of a new feature documentary from Sky Documentaries and “The Late Late Show With James Corden” producer Fulwell 73.
The film will chart the dramatic announcement of the Esl, which proposed a new annual international competition between the biggest clubs in the game, including 12 founding members from the English Premier League, Italy’s Serie A and Spain’s La Liga. The enterprise lasted just 72 hours after heated reactions around the world from national governments, football’s governing bodies, other clubs, players, managers, pundits and fans secured its demise.
The doc will also explore recent soccer history to give context to the Esl’s inception. Supported by archive footage, the film will feature interviews with figures from the 12 founding clubs, global footballing leagues and federations, players and fans.

British production company Fulwell 73 is set to produce documentary series “Flying High,” following a season in the lives of the Chelsea soccer club’s women’s team. The fly-on-the-wall series will follow the team through the 2019-20 season and look at the rapid rise in interest in the women’s game.
The eight-part series will go behind the scenes at the club, which is one of the world’s most successful women’s soccer teams. Fulwell 73 partner Leo Pearlman, who serves as an executive producer on the project, said that while “Flying High” would be a “fly-on-the-wall observational documentary,” viewers could expect “a beautiful and cinematic series doing justice to the powerful, human stories at the heart of the club.”

When you’re the fastest man alive, you’re already a bit of a superhero. Nevertheless, Olympian Usain Bolt wants to go toe-to-toe with Barry Allen himself in his upcoming solo movie The Flash, which will see Ezra Miller in the superspeed suit after this year’s Justice League.
Bolt expressed his interest in appearing in Warner Bros.’ upcoming superhero blockbuster while promoting his new sports movie I Am Bolt with MTV, saying “that’d be pretty cool. That’d be really cool,” when asked if he’d like to be involved.
Of course, it’s not impossible to imagine WB being interested in putting Bolt in the film, if even for a quick two-second cameo or even a Stan Lee-esque one scene appearance. It’s all speculative for now though, and it’s not as if Bolt is campaigning as much as he’s expressing that, yeah, it...

[[tmz:video id="0_5bucqfgy"]] Justin Bieber got down with the fastest man on Earth to celebrate a movie about the Olympian ... and he was anything but sorry to be partying with the champ. Bieber was in London Monday night and showed up to an after-party following a screening of "I Am Bolt" -- a documentary about Usain Bolt's journey to the Rio Olympics. Unclear if the Biebs saw the film itself, but he definitely raged with the man of the hour afterward.

Considered the fastest sprinter who’s ever logged track time, Bolt is a hero to millions and admired on a level comparable to global sports legends like Muhammad Ali and Pele. I Am Bolt presents a dynamic, consistently engaging portrait of the mediagenic track star, and even if it’s sometimes too laudatory, there are also many moments of heartfelt sentiment throughout the film, which should thrill his legions of fans following release...

"Every year I worry: 'Am I still fast?'" Universal has released an inspiring official trailer for the sports documentary titled I Am Bolt, profiling the life and legacy of Olympic running champion Usain Bolt. Bolt just won three more medals in Rio this summer, putting his total at nine Gold medals since his first Olympic games in 2008. This documentary includes intimate footage of Bolt's daily life and was filmed on location in Beijing, Rio, London, Germany and Jamaica. This actually looks like a full-on documentary, and not some made-for-tv special, with lots of footage of his personal life and his training. I really want to check this out. Here's the trailer for Benjamin Turner & Gabe Turner's documentary I Am Bolt, direct from YouTube: The legacy of the fastest man in history, Usain Bolt, captured by cameras filming his daily life. "My aim with making this film is to...
