- A man checks out a house that has been broken into and his phone rings making him jump. Man tracks down a drug dealer and they get into a fight, a gun is pulled but is wrestled away before it's shot.
- At the midpoint climax, a bomb detonates. The explosion is offscreen, but its sound can be heard, and it is revealed a major character (who was close to Cassie) died and another was severely wounded. Others are seen mourning the killed character before Cassie gives his girlfriend the ring he was going to propose with. Also, the wounded character is seen living with support.
