- One teenager has unrequited romantic feelings for his best friend. This is one of the central plots of the film.
- Boys are shown masturbating alone in their beds. Later, two boys and two girls play truth or dare and each dares someone to kiss another. Two girls french-kiss each other; boys are pressured into kissing each other. Also general flirtation of boys for girls throughout.
- Boy checks out his nude body in the mirror, inspects his genitals and takes loose hair from a brush to add to his pubic area (he is later taunted as not having any pubic hair yet). As he comes out of the shower with just a towel around his waist, older girls tease him by shoving him out the front door and stealing his towel, leaving him nude outside. Full rear nudity and front nudity only above genitals.
- Boys look at dirty playing cards with images of scantily-clad women. They also play grab ass with each other, trying to touch each other intimately and feigning disgust, using gay slurs.
- A painting of the two boys is used to taunt the boys as being gay. This leads to the drastic action of one.
- Two boys try to take off another boy's swim wear underwater. Mild male rear nudity.

- A fistfight breaks out. Nothing graphic, but intense nonetheless.
- A boy submerges himself in a pond, and is later roughly pulled out and thrown to the ground.
- In the beginning, four boys catch live fish and tear them apart with their hands and beat them and stomp on them. It's disturbing.
