Barry Allen: Sometimes the world needs a team.

Dr. Martin Stein: You call this a team? A girl with wings in a past lives complex. A deceased assassin. A pair of criminals. And a billionaire with more tech than he clearly knows what to do with it.

Ray Palmer: I know exactly what to do with it. Most of the time.

    Archie Sergeant's Reviews

As a pilot for a new show, DC's Legends of Tomorrow had a slow start in my opinion. The episode has a kinda lost pace and can't decide on how fast things should be going. For example when the team split up to explore the 70s, RIP Hunter's crew had a very slow and informational build and intercutting that with what Sarah and the two Rogues were doing was just a weird choice in my opinion. I enjoyed how the team was gathered together, clear and with a nice pacing between the introductions of each character. I had issues with just how plainly Sarah turns into the White Canary because it just felt thrown in so that she would have some sort of suit to wear for the show instead of her becoming it herself and realizing what she is in the universe. The main aspect I notice most is that even with only the first episode I can feel the distinct taste that this show is trying to give its audience, what I specifically mean by that is the fact that it already has its voice and tone to differentiate itself among the other shows. Speaking on the fighting and action, so far its been better than expected. The bar fight scene is a huge standout just because of how fun and in character all of it was, it made sense, plus it was choreographed pretty well. The character's relationships are already starting to grow on me, especially Sarah and Snart. I feel comfortable to be going on this journey with the characters that are on the team this season. Something that also stood out was the fact that the costumes are pretty great still, Kronos looked really badass and threatening and I enjoyed his look a lot. As of this first episode I enjoy the concept a lot. It enables the little side characters of the other "bigger" shows to spread themselves and for us to learn more about who and what they are, and I am more than excited to see where these characters end up going, with each other and in this massive DC Universe.
