I thoroughly enjoyed this show, the blossoming romance, the art, character development.

If you enjoy watching romance bloom that feels gradual and unforced, I recommend giving it a watch.

This was so heart warming. I'm a big softie and love romance. Most of my anime shows are all action with love on the side with the two characters you want together... but still haven't... even after years of tears and dedication...sigh...but this show gives you a pair to root for and they actually act upon it and talk about it in the open. The second season really picked up the action too! Hungry for more!!!

The series is wonderful and lighthearted. It has just the right amount of drama.The romance isn't too clingy or cringe ,its just enough to make you feel it.

I really like the characters. Each and everyone has a unique personality and growth, during the show. The main character-shirayuki- is a hard working and passionate young girl. She makes me want to do my best too :)

The art style and music add well to the fairy tale feeling.The show is overall a well done, a romance.

(I watch the show every summer and its wonderful:))

It's a good story and honestly they could have taken it farther and made another season. But they didn't and it's simplistic and it makes you kinda wanna be more nice to people based upon their characteristics and personality other then there social standing or looks. So yes it is a good show and is definitely worth the watch.

A little too sweet for my taste

In overview the story line follows a well beaten path with the handsome and charismatic prince falling in love with a common girl. Think along the lines of the Disney version of Aladdin, Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast and you're not far off.

The animation is on the better side of average and there's some subplots to keep the pace interesting, not much in the way of humour and everything the main characters put their hand to succeeds easily. There's not the struggle to overcome adversity that would put some meat on the bones of this story.

It seems to me that this series is targeted toward the preteen to early teen girl market, in that respect add another star, my daughter loved it and she's in that demographic.

I still really hate the fact that they will often adapt manga stories into a season or two of an anime to promote their manga. I will read the manga and watch the show. FINISH THE ANIME. I NEED MORE OBI. Seriously. I waited almost ten years for a proper fruits basket adaptation. Let's get this going too. It's still recent enough, pick up where you left off. PLEASE.

A charming anime with a few drawbacks

I love the story, i love the unique characters, i love each and everything of the story... I am really need life time seasons and episodes of this story i will pay for it.... It's seriously a cute watch!

So I started this anime hopefully for romance, And boy was I not disappointed! I just for starters love they way they develop zen and shirkyukis love story though out the two seasons instead of just rushing right in to it. They created the way the two characters care about each other so beautifully. You could tell the they really cared and love each other. I also just love the friendships there was between all the characters. The only reason it's not ten stars is because I wanted a 3rd season where they get married.

Snow white with the Red hair (Akagami no Shirayukihime) is the story about the girl named Shirayuki with extradordinary red hair. The anime is mainly about the heartwarming love story of Zen, the second prince of Clarines and Shirayuki the court herbalist of Clarines.

The anime was quite beautiful and peaceful. The characters are amazing specially Obi's character, he's quite funny and cheerful. They should have made another season.

If you love watching romance, magical, fantasy animes this anime is worth watching.

Watched the first two episodes.. It seemed to get very dark, very quickly.. First, the local prince wants her as a concubine/mistress, and she runs away.. That's fine..

But then, in the next episode, she gets abducted by another guy, who is intent on "selling" her as a slave. They don't use those exact words, but what he's trying to do is a form of slavery.

I found this to be an extreme turnoff and it offended my sensibilities.. Also, I found it EXTREMELY IMPLAUSIBLE that the Zen character could have found her in time -- it would have been like looking for a needle in a haystack..

A bit disappointing, and I gave it up after two episodes..

Missed some important things

This anime was good, but towards the end it felt really rushed. Annoyingly so. It skipped most of Kiki's backstory, and it skipped the best part of her character. The episode that was supposed to be about her ended up being only very peripherally about her. Since she is one of my favorite characters, that kind of stinks.

One of the most amazing anime's i've watched so far. The animations are beyond gorgeous, the plot moves fairly quickly, and the character development is amazing. The romance between the two main characters is not a slow-burn so it really is not like most rom-coms haha.

The anime has an alternate ending from the manga, but otherwise it was a super happy ending. I'm going to be reading the manga after this because it was so good!!

The series starts off with a herbalist common girl, Shirayuki whom escapes her hometown to elude becoming the prince's concubine. The only thing attracts the prince's attention is her bizarre red hair.

On the run, she stumble across a gentleman, Zen along with his companion in a forest. That is when their friendship begin.

Unfortunately, the wicked prince managed to track her down, sending poisonous apples in secret. Yet, Zen eats the apple in her place and black out. Shirayuki is taken to the prince when Zen suddenly, barge into the room. To Shirayuki's and the prince's disbelief, Zen is actually immune towards poisons.

Zen then rise his sword, beholding the crest on it, declaring he is the second prince of Clarines, Prince Zen Wistaria which sends the chill to the other prince. The wicked prince later returns to his homeland after handing Zen antidote to the poison.

Shirayuki then stays in Clarines and works as a herbalist in the castle.

This is just the first episode. You will come across even more exhilarating events as you embark on this anime. You will notice how heart-melting their relationship turning from friends to lovers.

why 9/10? 1) Zen is damn striking that I wish he exist in real life. 2) You will emphasize to how well-mannered and bolt Shirayuki is. 3) The anime serves you with various kind of landscape 4) Zen's attitude towards his people make admire him more

Protagonist Shirayuki, a herbalist, is in many ways just an ordinary person but her bright red hair sets her apart from everybody else in the Kingdom of Tanbarun. Her hair attracts the attention of the lecherous Prince Raji who demands that she becomes one of his concubines. She cuts her hair and flees to the neighbouring Kingdom of Clarines. Here she meets Prince Zen and after he eats a poisoned apple that was meant for her she cures him. She then continues the capital and starts working as a herbalist there. She frequently visits her new friend the prince in the castle leading to some opposition from those who believe that Prince Zen shouldn't be consorting with a commoner. They try to block her access to the castle but when she is accepted as a trainee court pharmacist she moves to the castle. As the series progresses she uses her skills and helps various people; she still isn't fully accepted though and hair makes it hard for her to pass unnoticed. She still sees Zen regularly and their relationship gradually develops to the point where it is obvious that they have feelings for each other that are greater than just friendship.

This may be a shoujo series but that doesn't mean that only girls are likely to enjoy it. Shirayuki is a likable central character and her red hair does make her stand out from the rest of the cast. She isn't the only good character though; Prince Zen is a good male lead and the secondary characters that surround him are rather fun. There are also some good villainous characters who threaten the relationship between Shirayuki and Zen; these are mainly fairly pantomime villains rather than anything really scary; we know that such villains will never succeed. The story is enjoyable with a good mix of drama and fairly chaste romance… since the series is primarily aimed at a female audience there is no fan service or innuendo to speak of which makes a refreshing change. Overall I found this to be a charming series and look forward to the second season, which is apparently due out next year.
