Daredevil: Born Again has resumed filming in New York, and we now have another round of set photos from the show's upcoming second season.
It appears Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) are teaming up, perhaps becoming unlikely allies in a New York now ruled over by Mayor Wilson Fisk with an iron fist. It's not like the Man Without Fear hasn't worked with a killer before (see: The Punisher).
These photos reveal a new look at the bullseye logo that's been added to the villain's mask, and more changes to Daredevil's suit. We previously theorised that he paints his red suit black, and it seems that's wearing off as time passes.
Previous set photos only showed glimmers of red, whereas there are now large patches coming through. Fortunately, the iconic "Dd" logo remains.
There's also some cool graffiti reading, "Resist, Rebel," and the top of the Rs are...

As production on the upcoming Harry Potter series is close to starting, news on who will be playing the main children from the franchise has yet to be revealed. The pressure of playing this iconic character might be too heavy to bear, especially when the films were highly praised and did very well at the box office. Fortunately, former Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright has shared some advice for the lucky child who will play her character, Ginny Weasley, in the upcoming TV adaptation.
In an interview with People, Wright advised every actor stepping into these new roles, including the young actress who'll be playing Ginny, to take inspiration from the books and to use their interpretation from reading the source material as a guide when playing these characters, believing that it will help give these characters new life. Additionally, she encourages them to have fun and enjoy every minute of being on set.

In about forty-eight hours, Criminal Minds will make a thrilling comeback with its eighteenth season, also serving as the third chapter of the Evolution revival. The season debuts with the "Swimmer's Calculus" episode, written by Breen Frazier and directed by Bethany Rooney, with every main character from Season 17 set to return, including the psychotic villain Elias Voit (Zach Gilford). A few hints have come up regarding what’s ahead for some of these characters; one from Paget Brewster (who portrays the Bau chief Emily Prentiss) and most recently from Aisha Tyler, whose character Tara Lewis is about to have one hell of a season.
Speaking with TVLine about the new installment of Criminal Minds, Tyler teased a “deeply personal” journey for her character, involving her history, saying:

The hive is active again. The Beekeeper 2, the high-octane sequel to this year’s surprise action hit, has officially landed a massive worldwide distribution deal with Amazon MGM Studios. Sources peg the deal at comfortably north of $50 million, showing the faith the studio has in turning this into a legitimate franchise, according to a report by Variety. Jason Statham will reprise his role as Adam Clay, the former black-ops agent turned bee-loving vigilante, with production on the sequel slated to begin this fall.
This time, the action will be directed by Timo Tjahjanto, the acclaimed filmmaker behind The Night Comes for Us and the upcoming Nobody 2, working from a screenplay by returning scribe Kurt Wimmer. She’s back, and she’s ready to slay while making the bad guys pay. Today, Empire has unveiled a brand-new image of the titular robot behind M3GAN 2.0, and she’s looking as bad and fab as ever. The taller model can be seen decked out in an all-black ensemble that would give the Terminator a run for his money. Boasting some fresh upgrades, the suit is just the beginning of the exciting additions that M3GAN will be rocking when the highly-anticipated sequel dances into cinemas on June 27.
The image teases plenty of ‘tude, which is precisely the reason why so many of us fell in love with the killer doll in the first place. It was through Gerard Johnstone’s 2023 feature, M3GAN, that we were first introduced to the character who was created by Allison Williams’ Gemma as an extra set of eyes, ears, and hands...

It's probably no coincidence that Netflix chose to release the Israeli coming-of-age series Bad Boy at this stage. Not too long ago, the streamer witnessed the massive success of the British series Adolescence, which revolved around the murder of a teenage girl and the young boy accused of having committed the crime. Adolescence became a runaway hit, drawing some of the biggest viewership figures in Netflix's history. Coincidentally, Bad Boy tackles many of the same themes as that show, and has the potential to become the streamer's next big international hit, at least if its early viewership is any indication.
The eight-episode drama hails from Ron Leshem — who remains best known for having created the original Israeli Euphoria, which inspired Sam Levinson's HBO remake — and Hagar Ben-Asher (Dead Women Walking). Leshem himself describedBad Boy as "the next Euphoria" in the past. The show debuted this past week to positive reviews and encouraging audience buzz.

NCIS has touched on Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) and Jimmy Palmer's (Brian Dietzen) relationship since their infamous breakup in NCIS Season 21. The subsequent season did not pick a side on whether they would remain broken up forever or might get back together. There were moments where it seemed like they were moving on with other people, and other moments where jealousy lingered, and they seemed interested in getting back together. This is reflective of the writers' position on the couple. "What we’re probably not going to do is now they’re dating again and then they’re just dating again. We did that. We had that," showrunner Steven D Binder told TV Insider when asked what they have planned for them in the upcoming season. "We ran with that and it went where it ended up going, which is someplace more interesting to a breakup and then seeing what...

Writer-director Andrew DeYoung’s Friendship, featuring Tim Robinson in his first starring film role, boasts a strong supporting cast, including the likes of Paul Rudd, Kate Mara, and Jack Dylan Grazer. The movie's limited May 9 theatrical release, followed by a wide release on May 23, marks the second A24 flick to head to theaters in quick succession for Rudd, with Death of a Unicorn failing to capture audience imagination. Earning just $15 million at the global box office to date, which is only just enough to recoup the film's reported production budget, a 54% on review Rotten Tomatoes solidifies just how poorly Death of a Unicorn has performed.
Thankfully for Rudd, the upcoming Friendship will look to turn the tide on his A24 fortune, with early reviews of the movie on the aforementioned review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes seeing the film earn a huge 91% critic approval rating, almost double the score achieved by Death of a Unicorn.

S.W.A.T. fans certainly haven't had it easy. Despite the procedural pulling in strong numbers across its eight-season run to date, the show has now officially been cancelled a remarkable three times, with the most recent seeming to be a permanent decision. After it had already been cancelled twice, March brought about the sad news that CBS would leave S.W.A.T. by the wayside following the upcoming May finale of its eighth season. Since then, fans have been doing their best to enjoy what is left, with the most recent, explosive 19th episode of the season sadly giving way to the fact that just three outings for Shemar Moore and the rest of the Twenty Squad remain.
The upcoming twentieth episode, directed by former star Alex Russell and penned by Sarah Alderson, looks to be one of the most tense-fueled episodes of the season yet, certainly if the below promo is anything to go by.

Agatha All Along has no shortage of ships to root for, from Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) and Rio’s (Aubrey Plaza) centuries-old passion to Billy (Joe Locke) and Eddie’s (Miles Gutierrez-Riley) sweet depiction of young love. But a ship doesn’t have to be canon for people to latch onto it and cheer it on — such is the case of the connection between Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata) and Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn). Lovingly referred to as Bloodpotions by its supporters, it’s no surprise that fans quickly rallied behind them as a potential pair. After all, they embody the classic opposites-attract trope, with Jen’s affinity for all things feminine and pink perfectly complementing Alice’s gothic look and vibe.

As James Gunn continues to develop his Dcu with shows like Creature Commandos and films such as Superman gracing the screens of fans over the next year, some fans are looking back on one of the more successful live-action endeavors with DC Comics. Nicknamed the "Arrowverse," the series of television shows on the CW began with Arrow in 2011, starring Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, aka The Green Arrow. Arrow divided fans with its staunch canon divergences but ultimately ran for eight seasons, sparking an entire universe of seven television shows that eventually came to a close with the series finale of Superman & Lois last year. Many of the actors involved in the series became synonymous with their roles long after they played them, one of whom was Neal McDonough for his role as Damien Darhk, first appearing in Arrow, then eventually appearing in other shows such as The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

If you talk to some, Doctor Who simply hasn't been the same since Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat left in 2017. Since then, dropping viewing figures — albeit with a universal shift in the way we consume television — and a decline in critical reception have seen the sci-fi series on shakier ground than ever before. Still, the return of Russell T. Davies to the helm and a big budget partnership with Disney looked to steady the ship, but certain metrics would lead you to believe that isn't true.
For The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda (Varada Sethu), their currently airing Season 2 might be receiving top-tier critical ratings, but most would point to the show's Rotten Tomatoes audience rating to prove it is "beyond repair" and requires cancellation. However, when looking closer at this score and the reviews that accompanied it, it seems the "anti-woke" brigade had added the timey-wimey series to their review bombing target list,...

Jed Mercurio's Line of Duty is widely regarded as one of the best British crime series of the 21st century. Following the intricate drama of those working for AC-12, a police anti-corruption unit, as they navigate a corrupt industry and attempt to uncover a nationwide conspiracy, Line of Duty has held a chokehold over the British public ever since its 2012 debut. With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 96% and an audience rating of 94%, the series even managed to find success overseas, with the eventual apparent ending to the show in 2021 leaving the world on edge as the identity of the mysterious "H" was revealed.
With rumors slowly spreading about the show's comeback ever since, back in November 2024, it was revealed that Line of Duty was reportedly returning for a seventh season, despite many claiming it had officially ended and the BBC not commenting. Now, with discussion having recently gone silent,...

One upcoming series set in the Avatar: The Last Airbender world just got a definitively disappointing update. Several new Atla projects are coming down the pipe in the next few years, but one of the most intriguing is Avatar: Seven Havens. The new series will be set after the events of Legend of Korra, and will follow an unnamed earthbending Avatar who is viewed as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. There had been no word on an official release date for the series, but the most recent issue of Toy World Magazine features a Paramount section, which confirms that the show will not debut until 2027 at the earliest. Seven Havens will be created by original Atla scribes Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko, and casting information has yet to be revealed.

The newest MCU movie is now playing in theaters everywhere, and after opening up the year with the divisive Captain America: Brave New World, Marvel seems to have returned to form with another hit. Thunderbolts* hit screens around the world this weekend, and after earning strong scores of 88% from critics and 94% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, it also collected $162 million globally in its first few days. When word got out that Geraldine Viswanathan's Thunderbolts* character was named Mel, fans immediately began to speculate that she must be Melissa Gold, aka Songbird, but the movie doesn't really lay any groundwork for Val's assistant to suit-up down the line... or so we thought.
During a new interview, Thunderbolts* producer Brian Chapek points to an "emblem" Mel wears that could indicate that she will eventually become the super-powered Songbird.
“There is a character that fans are trying to figure out is she or is she not — I would say what emblem does she wear that may or may not hint at this character’s larger identity.”
Sure enough, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Mel is wearing what looks a lot like a songbird pin in at least one scene.

Considering how well Christian-themed movies have done in recent months, Mel Gibson may be relieved about the box office prospects of his planned sequel to The Passion of the Christ. The animated film The King of Kings exceeded all expectations in its box office run, which was timed around the Easter holidays. It has emerged as the highest-grossing Korean production in domestic box office history — yes, it's a Korean production — while earning over four times its reported budget at the global box office.
With $57 million domestically and over $6 million from overseas markets, The King of Kings has generated nearly $64 million worldwide so far. Produced on a reported budget of $15 million, the religious-themed film is around $1 million shy of passing the lifetime global haul of The Road to El Dorado, a big-budget DreamWorks animated film that tanked upon release in the year 2000, but has developed a cult following. The Void, aka Sentry, aka Bob (played by Lewis Pullman), can transport people into dark moments in their pasts. For Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), it was her first mission for the Red Room. But for Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, we get to see shades of her past that we haven't seen before. A bingeable book-to-television series adaptation is currently proving successful globally with Netflix. The AMC series A Discovery of Witches settled itself comfortably at number 5 in Netflix's global Top 10, according to Tudum. The series is based on the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness. Teresa Palmer stars as Dr. Diana Bishop, a witch and a Yale professor at Oxford who has spent the majority of her life hiding away from the supernatural abilities she possesses. Raised by her aunts, who are also witches, played by Alex Kingston (Doctor Who) and Valerie Pettiford, after the death of her parents, she wants nothing more than to be normal. The series also stars Matthew Goode, Edward Blumel, Lindsay Duncan, and Owen Teale.
The basic premise (both for the book and television series), as explained by Harkness, is what if witches, vampires, and daemons lived among us? And if so, what are their day jobs?...

Proving decisively that social media chatter and hyperbolic headlines don’t define a film’s popularity, The Amateur made a strong push towards the $100 million milestone at the worldwide box office after just three weeks of release in theaters worldwide. Would anybody have expected it to do this well? It’s common for films designed for home video consumption to be given theatrical runs these days, even if they’re for publicity reasons. Just look at Den of Thieves 2: Pantera and The Accountant 2. Remarkably, The Amateur has grossed more globally than either of those films, despite appearing exactly like the kind of dad movie that will find an even bigger audience on PVOD.
In fact, its success serves as a curious counterpoint to Steven Soderbergh’s recent complaints about the underperformance of his film Black Bag, which couldn’t crack the $40 million mark worldwide despite unanimous praise and a...

Having completed a full month of release in theaters worldwide, A Minecraft Movie is now firmly in the home stretch. Does it have what it would take for it to pass the coveted $1 billion mark worldwide? Only time will tell. As things stand, it’s well on its way to that hugely important milestone, thanks to an incredible theatrical run that saw massive fan turnout despite mediocre reviews. A Minecraft Movie braved the Sinners wave not too long after its record-breaking debut, as the two films joined hands to turn the narrative around for a struggling Warner Bros.
With nearly $400 million domestically and another $475 million from overseas markets, A Minecraft Movie has grossed a cumulative total of $873 million worldwide. Dearest gentle reader, Netflix gave Bridgerton’s Queen Charlotte her own spinoff, but don’t expect her to burn down systems, she’s far too busy perfecting her corset game and nibbling on pastries. While the show tiptoes around race and power, Charlotte’s character often feels more fashion-forward than revolutionary.
Sure, she rules with flair and side-eye, but when it comes to challenging white supremacy or shaking the monarchy’s dusty foundations? Let’s just say her tiara stays firmly in place. Lavish, witty, and dripping in pastels, Queen Charlotte serves style over substance and some fans are wondering if that’s a royal misstep or just Regency escapism.

Queen Charlotte may slay in sapphires and silk, but when it comes to tackling white supremacy, she’d rather lace a corset and nibble a croissant.

As fans prepare to say goodbye to The Equalizer with today's series finale, one of its key stars is reflecting on five transformative seasons — and expressing heartfelt gratitude for the ride. The long-running Queen Latifah-starring CBS drama was cancelled earlier this week, surprising fans who had not only been anticipating a sixth season, but even a spin-off as well. Speaking exclusively with Collider’s Christina Radish at the press junket for Prime Video’s The Better Sister, Lorraine Toussaint opened up about the surprise cancellation and what playing Aunt Vi has meant to her. She told Collider:
“We just got word last night that we’re done. I think of all the characters I’ve played, and that one allowed me to indulge my maternal, softer side more than any other characters I’ve played. I’ve played psychopaths and all sorts of things. She’s definitely not...

A star-studded cast, a sky-high budget, and a savvy marketing campaign weren’t enough to save Argylle from crashing and burning at the box office. Matthew Vaughn’s genre-blending spy romp arrived with plenty of hype earlier last year—featuring the likes of Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, and John Cena—but was met with dismal reviews and a chilly reception from audiences, barely scraping $96 million globally on a reported $200 million budget. And yet… a year later, Argylle is back in the conversation.
Thanks to a streaming run on Apple TV+, the film is officially back in the top 20 most-watched titles on the platform. According to viewer metrics and an encouraging 71% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes (despite a brutal 33% from critics), Argylle seems to be experiencing the kind of late-game comeback few box office flops ever do.

Jason Statham’s buzzworthy action flick The Beekeeper is officially swarming streaming charts once again, this time landing at #6 on MGM+ — and proving that when it comes to punching scammers and delivering bee puns with a straight face, no one does it better than Statham. After dominating theaters at the beginning of last year with an impressive $152.7 million global box office haul, The Beekeeper quietly became one of the most-watched films on Prime Video in 2024 and is now making major moves on MGM+ as well. Not bad for a movie that many dismissed as another mid-budget revenge thriller — and one that now sits at a strong 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.

In a heartfelt Instagram post shared Friday evening, Latifah — who both starred in and executive produced the series through her Flavor Unit production company alongside Shakim Compere — addressed the show’s passionate fanbase and her experience leading one of network TV’s rare action dramas fronted by a Black woman.

The summer movie season officially began on Friday with the debut of Thunderbolts*, which is being viewed as a return to box office form for Marvel Studios, even though it's eying an opening weekend haul lower than that of the recent Captain America: Brave New World. The movie led the field on Friday, grossing $31.5 million. This includes the $11.5 million that it made in Thursday previews. It's all set to generate over $70 million in its first weekend of release, with the more bullish projections putting this figure at over $80 million. By comparison, Brave New World grossed $88 million in its three-day debut.
But that movie was barely able to scrape past the $200 million mark in its theatrical run, mainly because of the lukewarm response that it earned from critics and audiences. Thunderbolts*, on the other hand, has been critically acclaimed. The movie holds a "certified fresh" 88% Rotten Tomatoes score, with its audience...

Basic concepts such as comebacks and downfalls don't seem to apply to Nicolas Cage. But he always seems to follow his more memorable movies with straight-to-video potboilers. Cage is currently starring in The Surfer, a psychological thriller that opened to critical acclaim on Friday, but drew frumpy reactions from audiences.

Deadpool may be done flying solo, but that doesn’t mean Ryan Reynolds is done with the Merc With a Mouth. In fact, Deadpool & Wolverine may have been the last standalone outing for Wade Wilson — but if Reynolds gets his way, his katana-wielding antihero could be headed back to the big screen with some mutant company.
According to new report from THR, Reynolds is in the early stages of developing a new Deadpool movie that would feature an ensemble of X-Men characters. It’s still extremely early — no pitch has been made to Marvel Studios at this time — but Reynolds is reportedly working on multiple treatments with the idea of bringing “three or four” iconic mutants into the mix. In a twist, the film wouldn’t necessarily center on Deadpool. Instead, he might play more of a supporting role to allow space for new dynamics.

Rusthas become one of the most talked-about films in years due to the tragic events surrounding its filming. Four years after an accidental shooting left the film's cinematographer Halyna Hutchinsdead and director Joel Souza injured, the Western has finally been released courtesy of distributor Falling Forward Films. But viewers appear to be unmoved, as Rust's Rotten Tomatoes score is largely underwhelming.
At the time of this article's publication, Rust is sitting at a "rotten" critic's score of 48% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 21 reviews. However, it should also be noted that the film currently has no audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, so there is a chance that audiences could end up liking it far more than the critics, as is the case with many films. Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy brought to life the Third Age of Middle-earth in a way that had not been seen before. Jackson's movies were perfectly cast, with actors who perfectly embodied and delivered on characters fished out of J.R.R. Tolkien's lore.
