    Best of the rest

I've enjoyed POI from the beginning and while at points I questioned the direction it was taking I think that the 2015 finale YHWH was by far the best and while wrapping up a lot of story opens the door to even more. It brought us to a "face to face" showdown which left "the good guys" playing catch-up but a chance to see an edge of your seat battle to the death that wiped out some story portions I'm glad to be rid of, but written into the overall battle between the AI superpowers and their backers where one is taking over while the other simply trying to survive to fight another day. Great end and launching pad into next season. Nice to see John with all his unbelievable moves go into superhero mode and take out a small army in the last stand as we get to see a surprisingly emotional ending with our team walking off into obscurity certain that next season will start with the attempt to re-launch the machine and obtain supremacy once again. While that seems obvious the backbone of some stories are now gone while the foundations for many others have been laid. I think next season can only be the launch of a second wind to the series or its demise, but I'll be watching to see! I'll be pulling for a bigger and better continuance!

    Rise of the Machines

Finally the payoff of this season. The disappeared god, the new ruthless god, the crime bosses and the action; everything was just plain awesome.

Finally the machines collide, finally the fight is all naked and the dread of previous episode reaches a fever that is simply impossible to take off.

The last 10 mins sums up everything season 4 wanted to tell. People lost their ways, machines lost their ways and did mundane things all over season but this one was a home run.

Last season finale, the machine was defeated and Elias had no place to perform in season 4. But this season has balanced all expectations.

This was marvelous, story telling at best and the AI mythology getting deeper. More confrontations, dangerous consequences and the fight of team machine and team samaritan will continue

The series will forever excite me and fans alike. Waiting for season 5 now

    Thank You

This will be my first review here, I know I have to do this for POI but I can't say anything about it I can not find any words to describe. This last episode was more than amazing. Thank you Nolan and whoever helped this. Best show ever. All episodes were amazing but this final was beyond the limits. I was tired and my eyes were dry, I was going to use eye drops but after this episode I really do not need any eye drops for weeks. Yes this final was amazing but not enough we still need lots of things to be done. I really hope we will get approve for season 5 soon, not only me, world really needs one more season and one more final like this. There are so many bad series going on now and POI does not deserve to finish here. This cast deserves a chance to finish what they have started just give this chance to Nolan, I am sure Jonathan Nolan will give us more than we can imagine.

Can. You. Hear. Me? Hell, yes!

This was one of the marvelous and the brilliant episodes of POI (including If-Then-Else) Full of story, style, action & philosophy. I'm not sure how the directors and writers are able to conceive such ingenious plot. I was literally biting off my nails & pulling my hair constantly whilst making scream noises during the whole episode (especially the last 15 minutes). It's sheer brilliance. I'm don't flipping understand why would CBS wanna cancel this show & how on flipping earth, this series is so underrated than Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead & GOT Series. I simply don't & it's beyond my comprehension that, people rate mindless zombie show higher than this futuristic, philosophical & realistic show. I love everything about this. Please, more of it. The TV deserves to have some sensible writing!

    Father

As soon as this word came on the laptop screen, I had immediate goosebumps and my pupils got dilated. Literal chills. Won't say anything else. No long paragraphs of already known and understood information.

    Cheers.

    • Trivia
The title refers to God's name, written with the Hebrew characters known as the Tetragrammaton, and appears over 7,000 times in the Bible. In Hebrew it is normal to write only consonants, but because of the misinterpretation of the commandment against using God's name in vain, many have stopped using it at all and correct pronunciation of the name is lost. Name YHWH is preserved in texts but sometimes has added vowel marks from word Adonai/Elohim, indicating that instead of YHWH one should read Adonai (Lord) or Élohim (God). One plausible version of God's name might be "Yahweh," although some use "Jehovah" instead; that stems from one of the possible readings of YHWH with vowels of Adonai.
    • Goofs
When Finch and Root's elevator finally starts moving, a camera shot through the shotgun blast hole shows the arms dealer and the room moving up (ie the elevator is going down). But this would require the outer door to be traveling with the elevator, instead of staying on its floor. We should have instead seen the back of the outer door through the hole.

The Machine: [on a Laptop screen] Father. I am sorry. I failed you.

Harold Finch: We haven't failed yet.

The Machine: I didn't know how to win. I had to invent new rules.

Harold Finch: You had an impossible challenge. One I never programmed you for.

The Machine: I thought you would want me to stay alive. Now you are not sure.

      Harold Finch: That's not true...

The Machine: If you think I have lost my way, maybe I should die. I will not suffer.

Harold Finch: You were my creation. I can't let- I can't let you die.

The Machine: If I do not survive, thank you. For creating me.
