Who would have guessed that, after the big hits at the Oscars "The Hurt Locker" and "Zero Dark Thirty", director Kathryn Bigelow's next project would be an animated movie, even if it runs for only 3 minutes. However, the topic is similar to her recent works. It's a mix of protection of the environment and terrorist attacks with one concrete example for each, namely a terrorist attack on a shopping mall with over 60 dead and references to the killings of elephants. The connection is that several terrorist organization are financed considerably via poaching. And what can you do? Don't buy ivory anywhere. However, I hope you knew that already before watching this short film. Good message, good execution. The animation is not groundbreaking, but that's okay as this is really more about the message. I recommend watching these 3 minutes.
