Kiss Rock Madison Square Garden for Final Show Ever as Humans: Photos + Video
Image
Kiss concluded their “End of the Road Tour” with a final performance on Saturday night (December 2nd) at Madison Square Garden in New York City, returning to the city where their journey began. If it was indeed their last show ever, the rock legends certainly went out in style.

In the days leading up to Kiss’ two Msg shows, the Big Apple was besieged by an epic Kiss takeover. Among the many events and activities that took place were a special light show at the Empire State Building, the declaration of an official “Kiss Day” by Mayor Eric Adams, a pop-up store, complimentary Kiss tattoos courtesy of Inked NYC, a “Kiss Night” at a New York Rangers game, and much more.

On Saturday night, Kiss took the stage one last time, preceded by an opening set from Amber Wild, a hard-rocking new band featuring Paul Stanley’s son Evan. Despite...

Thor 5 Will Make Mjolnir More Powerful Than Ever Before According To Perfect MCU Fan Theory
Image
Mjolnir may become even stronger in Thor 5, giving Thor a significant power upgrade in his next Marvel Studios adventure. Thor could combine Mjolnir with Zeus' Thunderbolt from Thor: Love and Thunder, creating a more powerful version of the hammer. If Mjolnir acquires a kintsugi-style design, it could mirror Loki's new costume and hint at a potential reunion between Thor and Loki in the future.

A new MCU fan theory suggests that Mjolnir may become even stronger in Thor 5, giving Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder a huge power upgrade in his next Marvel Studios adventure. Mjolnir has been a huge part of Thor's MCU journey since his debut in 2011's eponymous Thor. Initially, Thor was the only MCU character worthy enough to wield Mjolnir, but several other heroes have swung the hammer in the years since, including Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Steve Rogers' Captain America in Avengers: Endgame,...

‘Thor 5’ Will Reportedly Have a Darker Tone with Gareth Edwards in Consideration To Direct It
Image
There’s a buzz about over 30 projects supposedly in the works for release in the next two years, and among them is the rumored ‘Thor 5.’ The rumors surrounding it are gaining momentum. Recently, Taika Waititi addressed the possibility of directing the fifth God of Thunder installment in the MCU. He casually dismissed it, stating it’s not currently on his schedule. With commitments like ‘Klara and the Sun’ adaptation and a live-action ‘Akira’ in the pipeline, Waititi has a busy few years ahead.

Fans collectively breathed a sigh of relief, recalling the chaotic mix of comedy, cancer, and a lackluster villain in ‘Love & Thunder.’

Now, it appears the studio has taken note of the feedback from ‘Love & Thunder.’ According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, they’re aiming for a more serious and dark tone in the yet-to-be-titled ‘Thor 5’ film and are eyeing Gareth Edwards for the director’s chair.

‘Thor 5’ To Have a Darker Tone Compared to ‘Love & Thunder’ with Gareth Edwards Directing It According to Rumors
Image
There are over 30 projects rumored to be in development and scheduled to be released sometime in the next two years, and ‘Thor 5’ is one of them, at least according to the rumors that are getting louder and louder. Recently, Taika Waititi commented on the possibility of him helming the fifth God of Thunder movie in the MCU, and he shrugged it off, saying that it’s really not on his schedule at the moment. He will be quite busy in the next few years prioritizing his adaptation of ‘Klara and the Sun,’ and a live-action adaptation of ‘Akira.’

Fans all over the world sighed a collective sigh of relief, remembering the circus that was ‘Love & Thunder,’ an overly comedic movie that dealt with cancer and one of the most terrible villains in Marvel Comics.

Now it seems that the studio did learn something about the feedback they got from ‘Love & Thunder’ as,...

Will Thor: Love and Thunder's Korg Show Up in Future MCU Projects?
Image
Thor: Love and Thunder rocked. Many of the beloved characters that populate the God of Thunder's solo film franchise were present in the movie, which saw a successful theatrical release on July 8, 2022. Of course, star Chris Hemsworth reprised his role as the titular god, making him an actor with one of the longest-continuous portrayals of a superhero. Additionally, Natalie Portman returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to reprise her role as scientist Jane Foster, Thor's primary love interest.

Thor: Love and Thunder didn't only rock figuratively. Korg was amid the myriad of characters who made their way back onto the silver screen via the MCU. Audiences first met the delightfully simple-minded rock monster when he was first introduced to Marvel fans in Thor: Ragnarok. Korg was an unwilling combatant in the Grandmaster's (Jeff Goldblum) Contest of Champions.

Since his introduction, Korg has proven a valuable ally to Thor.

Taika Waititi Was in Agony and Had to Use a Walking Stick While Filming Next Goal Wins
Image
Taika Waititi faced physical challenges while shooting Next Goal Wins due to an injury, relying on a walking stick and painkillers. Despite his success in big-budget films, Waititi wants to return to his roots and work on smaller projects, expressing fatigue with blockbusters. Waititi will not be involved in a potential fifth Thor film, indicating his desire to explore different filmmaking opportunities.

Taika Waititi is one of those directors who always enjoys his work on set, but during the shooting of his most recent film, Next Goal Wins, he had some very difficult days and even had to use a walking stick.

After the failure of Thor: Love and Thunder, Waititi returns to the big screen with the new sports comedy from Searchlight Pictures. Starring Michel Fassbender, Next Goal Wins tells the story of Dutch American football coach Thomas Rongen, who was given the choice between being fired and achieving an impossible task,...

The MCU Retcons An 11-Year-Old Avengers Lie, Changing Thor's Origin
Image
Warning: This article contains Spoilers for Loki season 2 episode 3Thor's history in the MCU was just changed by a major Marvel timeline confirmation courtesy of his warmongering little brother. Loki season 2 adds crucial details to the pre-mcu past of Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder, creating a plot hole in a movie released 11 years ago in the process.

Thor's MCU timeline so far has been largely straight forward, despite some vagueness about his actual age in human years. That was cleared up in Avengers: Infinity War, which stated Thor's age as 1500 years, as well as revealing that he'd killed 3000 people, confirming his claim in The Avengers that he waged war frequently in his youth. Beyond that, and snatches of stories Loki and Thor revealed himself about their relationship and their dynamic with their father Odin, most of Thor's story has remained off-screen. Now, Loki season 2 has confirmed one major...

Thor Officially Surpasses Odin, According to Mjolnir
Image
As Marvel Comics’ premiere God of Thunder, Thor’s connection to the one and only Mjolnir is the stuff of legend, and according to his enchanted mallet, Thor has long surpassed his arrogant and often overbearing father Odin. Having wielded the star-forged weapon for countless centuries, Thor and Mjolnir have quite the singular bond, despite the various trials and tribulations they’ve been through. And that bond is ultimately what proves that the Mighty Thor has surpassed his father, Odin.

Avengers Assemble Omega #1 by Jason Aaron, Aaron Kuder, and Dexter Vines, features the infamous All-Fathe Odinr – the former wielder of Mjolnir itself – ultimately relinquishing the famed weapon of the gods. A million years in the past, Odin proclaims the tool to be unworthy of him, vowing to never wield it again. Fans know that it will eventually be Odin’s son, Thor, who will form the ultimate connection with Mjolnir,...

Chris Hemsworth Wants His Next MCU Film to Use Extraction's Approach to Action
Image
Should Chris Hemsworth ever play Thor again, he'd like to give the God of Thunder an Extraction 2-style fight sequence.

Per GamesRadar+, Hemsworth spoke to Total Film about his upcoming Netflix sequel and the extensive work he put into performing Tyler Rake's hand-to-hand choreography. "It's the hardest thing I've ever done. I'm not exaggerating. At the end of a take, you're sucking air like you never have before, and everyone drops to their knees. But it's so much more rewarding," the actor said, adding, "I would love to take this style and integrate it into a Marvel film, if I was ever to do another one."

I love playing the character. I love this world. I love having something else outside of Marvel that's amassed a bit of a following, something more in the real world."I honestly feel like we made a better film than the first one. Natalie Portman's Thor Filming Story Makes Ragnarok's Play More Meta Than We Realized
Image
Natalie Portman's story about filming Thor makes the gag play in Thor: Ragnarok more meta. In 2017, director Taika Waititi took over the God of Thunder's MCU franchise for an overhaul. Thor: Ragnarok revitalized the film series and introduced some new elements, including Asgard's now-signature dramatic plays.

In a new interview with GQ, Portman reveals how similar her experience filming the previous Thor movies to Thor: Ragnarok's hilarious plays. Watch the video below:

Having appeared in the first two Thor films, Portman actually skipped Thor: Ragnarok, but she did return in Thor: Love and Thunder. Despite this, she knows enough of Marvel Studios' process when filming big movies, including the difficulty of dealing with all the casts' varying schedules, saying:

I also feel like so much of it is funny because they had trouble with, like schedules, that a lot of people weren't there at the same time,...

‘Ant-Man 3’ Crashed at the Box Office After a Trilogy-Best Opening. What Went Wrong?
Image
The bigger they are, the harder they fall?

That’s the presiding feeling about the box office performance of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” Disney’s superhero threequel opened to $106 million domestically in February, eviscerating trilogy records among the “Ant-Man” standalone stories. But ticket sales for Paul Rudd’s latest adventure have cratered in subsequent weeks. At this rate, “Ant-Man 3” may become one of the rare Marvel movies to either fall short of (or barely surpass) the $500 million mark at the global box office.

At this point, it’s earned just $470 million globally after six weeks of release. That’s not much higher than Disney’s pandemic-era Marvel movies, including “Black Widow” ($379 million globally while also debuting day-and-date on Disney+), “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” ($432 million) and “Eternals” ($402 million), and nowhere near franchise heavyweights like “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” ($955 million) and “Thor: Love and Thunder” ($760 million). And sure,...

Juggernaut Is More Powerful Than Galactus In 1 Stunning Way
Image
Despite the fact that Galactus is a cosmic being older than the universe who regularly consumes entire planets, the earthbound Juggernaut shockingly proves to be more powerful than him–and one stunning side-by-side comparison confirms it.

Before Galactus became a cosmically powerful entity, he was a lifeform not too dissimilar from a human man named Galan, who survived a universal renewal cycle and was reborn in Earth-616. While he survived, Galan did not remain as he was after his body was flooded with cosmic energy, transforming him into the Devourer of Worlds fans know and love today. In a similar transformative experience, Cain Marko became the Juggernaut after he–a normal human man–found the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak and was bound to the chaos-god from that moment forward, becoming Cyttorak’s avatar on Earth. Just as it is Galactus’ cosmic purpose to devour worlds, it is Juggernaut’s purpose...

Thor’s Worst MCU Movies Needed To Swap Villains
Image
The McU's worst-received Chris Hemsworth movies, Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Love and Thunder, could have made a bigger impact had they swapped their main villains. Kenneth Branagh's Thor established Thor, Loki, Jane Foster, and all the Asgardian mythology that continues to shape the MCU to this day. Years later, Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok gave Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder a breath of fresh air with a comedic take on the character. Their direct sequels, however, couldn't replicate their predecessors' magic.

Thor: The Dark World's unambitious plot and clichéd villain failed to build upon Thor, and Thor: Love and Thunder's zero-stakes story and exaggerated comedy hurt the character's credibility. In Thor: The Dark World, Christopher Eccleston didn't have much room to explore Malekith as a character, and in Thor: Love and Thunder, Christian Bale's terrifying take on Gorr was lost amongst Taika Waititi's extravagant directing style.

Should The Flash Movie Recast Jack Black as Green Lantern?
Image
Should Jack Black appear in The Flash movie as Green Lantern? Well before Ryan Reynolds played the superhero on the big screen, Black was attached to star in a comedic version of the movie, with former Conan O'Brien writer Robert Smigel writing the script. Back in 2015, the actor/comedian/musician spoke about his brush with the superhero genre. "There was a really funny script, an awesome script that I wanted to do, by the genius Robert Smigel [Triumph the Insult Comic Dog]... but they didn't want to pull the trigger," said Black when referring to DC and Warner Bros.

Jack Black's version of Green Lantern never came to be, and DC fans have been left wondering what could have been. "They were making zillions of dollars with all their other superhero movies - they didn't want to mess with that formula," Black said in 2015. However, the Ryan Reynolds-led Green Lantern...

Chris Hemsworth's Thor 4 Physique Is Causing His Body Double to Struggle
Image
Chris Hemsworth might be too ripped for his Thor: Love and Thunder body double to keep up. Bobby Holland Hanton has been working with Hemsworth since 2013 and can confirm that he is bigger than he has ever been for the upcoming sequel, which is currently filming in Australia. Getting into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a dream come true for any actor, but it comes with a pretty intense workout regimen. Just look at Chris Pratt during his pre-mcu days to see what being a superhero does to the body.

While Chris Pratt is in superhero shape, he is nowhere near as big as Chris Hemsworth is. The God of Thunder actor recently told Men's Health that he has to keep training all of the time, otherwise his body "shuts down... I just don't feel good. I like it for a couple of days, then everything just starts to hurt.

Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Kat Dennings, Kathryn Hahn, Randall Park, and Teyonah Parris in WandaVision (2021)
Why ‘WandaVision’ Brought Randall Park and Kat Dennings Back to the MCU
Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Kat Dennings, Kathryn Hahn, Randall Park, and Teyonah Parris in WandaVision (2021)
“WandaVision” will welcome two more actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe into Westview, with Kat Dennings and Randall Park reprising their characters from “Thor” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” respectively, on Friday’s episode.

When TheWrap caught up with “WandaVision” head writer Jac Schaeffer, she explained why Park’s Jimmy Woo and Dennings’ Darcy Lewis were chosen to appear in the Disney+ series, despite neither having any prior history with Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) or Vision (Paul Bettany).

“The narrative of the show gets bigger, as we all know, and in any story you need a variety of supporting characters,” Schaeffer said. “These two, Randall and Kat, are terrific performers and they are fan favorites. And so they were suggested to me early on and I said ‘absolutely’ and set about figuring out a way to involve them into the story.”

Why the Thor Franchise Desperately Needed Taika Waititi According to Chris Hemsworth
Image
Chris Hemsworth says that the Thor franchise was in "desperate" need of someone like director Taika Waititi. The actor has been pretty vocal about how burnt out he was on playing The God of Thunder on the big screen before Marvel Studios hooked up with Waititi for Thor: Ragnarok. While the previous two installments had been successes at the box office, and moderate hits with critics, Hemsworth was beginning to find the whole deal to be rather tedious and felt a big change was necessary to move forward.

In a new interview promoting Extraction, Chris Hemsworth looked back at making Thor: Ragnarok and working with Taika Waititi. The third installment in the series was a sharp left turn from what had come before. It was bright, colorful, unpredictable, and funny. The God of Thunder had jokes and humorous characters around him this time around, thanks to the guidance and imagination of Waititi.

Captain Marvel 2 Rumored To Feature A Cameo From [Spoilers]
According to some new rumors that are circulating online, Captain Marvel 2 will feature a surprise cameo from another McU character to further establish the A-Force.

Avengers: Endgame concluded a story that started more than 10 years ago when the foundations of what we now know as the Infinity Saga were sown into the first Iron Man movie. Moving forward, though, the McU and its mastermind Kevin Feige have to reinvent themselves and plant the seeds for what will become the next big event in this established universe of superheroes.

As such, all eyes are on future Marvel movies to distinguish the overarching plot of the next saga. Captain Marvel 2, in particular, has received a lot of buzz, since its predecessor, as the first female-led McU film, sparked controversy when it premiered in 2019. While we currently have confirmation that a sequel is in development, it’s still too early for any plot details.

Jaimie Alexander To Return As Lady Sif In Thor: Love And Thunder
To say that Marvel fans were upset that Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif wasn’t in Ragnarok would be an understatement. After proving to be a standout character in both of the earlier, less critically appealing Thor movies, everyone was excited to see her return, but obligations to her hit show Blindspot prevented the actress from reprising the role. Perhaps that was for the best, though, as the God of Thunder’s third solo outing pressed a soft-reset button on the franchise, which resulted in the death or disappearance of several fan-favorite side characters.

In any case, we already know that Alexander is game to return and now, we’re hearing that she’ll soon be seen back on the big screen. According to sources close to We Got This Covered – the same ones who told us Black Mask will be gay in Birds of Prey and that Moon Knight was coming to the McU,...

95% Of Thor: Love And Thunder Will Reportedly Take Place In Outer Space
Seeing how little we know about Marvel’s upcoming Thor: Love And Thunder, fans will have to be satisfied with rumors and theories for now. And the latest scoop to hit the internet about Natalie Portman’s future stint as the Goddess of Thunder is that 95% of the movie will be taking place in space.

These things, as always, need to be taken with a grain of salt, but if true, it would make for a pretty epic little space opera. Not to mention that additional reports claim that Peter Dinklage will return as Eitri and Chris Pratt is set to cameo as Star-Lord. Which makes sense, because, well, outer space. On top of all that, Taika Waititi is eyeing Stranger Things‘ Finn Wolfhard for a role in the film. Whew. How about we just focus on the space rumor for now, though?

If they really do set most of the movie there,...

Valkyrie Will Get Her Own Disney Plus Show After Thor: Love And Thunder
Thor: Ragnarok introduced a bunch of fan favorite characters, arguably none more so than Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. The Asgardian warrior finally made her second appearance in the McU earlier this year in Avengers: Endgame, in which the God of Thunder named her king of New Asgard. She’ll next turn up in 2021’s Thor: Love and Thunder, but we’ve heard that Marvel has big plans for her following the fourth Thor movie.

We Got This Covered has been informed that Valkyrie will get her own Disney Plus TV series after Love and Thunder. This intel comes to us via the same source who previously told us that Marvel was working on shows for both Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk before they were officially announced by the studio this past weekend, so we have no reason to doubt it.

Thor: Love And Thunder Will Feature Two Different Thors
One of the most anticipated films on the upcoming McU roster is Thor: Love And Thunder. It features fan-favorite Avenger Thor, portrayed by Chris Hemsworth, who reunites with director Taika Waititi, who breathed new life into the franchise when he helmed the action-packed, cheekily irreverent take on the Marvel superhero in Ragnarok.

Another familiar face will be returning to the world of Thor as well though in the shape of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, the God of Thunder’s ex who’ll also be playing the female version of Thor from the comics. Naturally, this has led many fans to fear that Love and Thunder might be the end of Chris Hemsworth’s original Thor, but Waititi laid those fears to rest at Disney’s D23 expo, saying that there will be two Thors in the film.

Thor: Love And Thunder Director Explains How He Convinced Natalie Portman To Return
Until Taika Waititi got his hands on it, the Thor series was arguably the weakest of Marvel Studios’ standalone franchises. The first two installments may have done solid business at the box office, but neither is particularly well-regarded by either critics or fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Thor: Ragnarok served as a total reinvention for both the character and the entire franchise though, turning the God of Thunder into one of the most entertaining superheroes in the entire McU. Fans were rightly overjoyed then when it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that Waititi would be returning to write and direct Thor: Love and Thunder, along with the surprising revelation that Natalie Portman would also be reprising her role as Jane Foster. Thor: Love and Thunder Script Isn't Finished, Director Debunks Recent Reports
Russell Crowe, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Taika Waititi, Chris Hemsworth, and Tessa Thompson in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Reports of the Thor: Love and Thunder script seem to have been greatly exaggerated. It was recently reported that director Taika Waititi had already completed the screenplay for his next McU adventure. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case, as the filmmaker has taken to Twitter to debunk that news. On the contrary, it sounds like Waititi still has quite a bit of work to do on that front.

Just for some background. It recently came to light that Taika Waititi has taken on another project in the form of Next Goal Wins, a soccer movie that he intends to film before Thor: Love and Thunder. Buried in a report about his smaller-scale foray into the sports world came a little tidbit that stated the script for Thor 4 was already locked down. Waititi saw one of these reports on Twitter and decided to weigh in on the matter personally.

Thor: Love And Thunder Star Natalie Portman Has The Perfect Response To Brie Larson Lifting Mjolnir
Brie Larson made many people’s day yesterday when she shared a snap of herself lifting Thor’s hammer, jokingly proving that Captain Marvel is worthy of wielding Mjolnir. However, the actual owner of the Asgardian weapon is now getting a little jealous. No, not Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder, but Jane Foster, the Mighty Thor herself and star of Thor: Love and Thunder.

The Captain Marvel actress posted the photo along with the caption: “Not to be whatever, but….told you I could lift it.” Then, Portman replied a few hours later with the perfect response: “Hey muscles, easy with my hammer!!!” Fans went crazy for the comment, too, with it garnering just over 35,000 likes at the time of writing.

As you can see in the screenshot below, fellow McU star Michael B. Jordan also commented on Larson’s post with a duo of crying with laughter emojis.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy Will Cameo In Thor: Love And Thunder
When we last saw Thor in Avengers: Endgame, he was hitching a ride back into space with the Guardians. Naturally, then, we all assumed the God of Thunder would show up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, when Marvel revealed their Phase 4 slate at Comic-Con, it came as a surprise that Thor: Love and Thunder was due before the James Gunn threequel. But that doesn’t mean that the expected Thor/Guardians crossover isn’t happening.

We Got This Covered has heard from our sources that Star-Lord and the gang will have a cameo in the fourth Thor movie. It’s likely their brief role will occur at the start of the film, while the Asgardian is still on board the Benatar. Don’t expect to see Gamora with them though, as per her disappearance in Endgame.

We’ve also had it confirmed that there were plans for...

Ryan Gosling Being Eyed For Villain Role In Thor: Love And Thunder
Thor: Love and Thunder is already a very starry affair, what with its trio of bankable leads in Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman and hotly in-demand director Taika Waititi. One major Hollywood talent who’s yet to work with Marvel Studios before now might be just be joining them in the 2021 movie, though: Ryan Gosling.

As you may’ve heard, Waititi and Gosling recently met in La to discuss a couple of upcoming projects they could potentially collaborate on. Speaking with our sources, Wgtc was told that one of the movies talked about was sports biopic Next Goal Wins, which is due to shoot this fall, and the other was Love and Thunder.

Specifically, Waititi wants Gosling for a supporting villain role in the McU pic. Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’ll happen, but we do know that it was discussed. Given that it...

Cate Blanchett Says She Liked Captain Marvel More Than Thor: Ragnarok
After the lukewarm responses received by the first two Thor movies, 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok marked a refreshing change of pace for the God of Thunder’s solo series, while providing the McU with one of its more memorable villains. But while Taika Waititi’s cosmic adventure would sit pretty high in the Marvel Studios rankings for many a moviegoer – including, apparently, Quentin Tarantino – Hela herself, Cate Blanchett, would still single out Captain Marvel as her personal favorite.

The Oscar-winner was recently in conversation with Et to promote the new Richard Linklater film Where’d You Go, Bernadette. When asked her thoughts on the recent news that Natalie Portman would be stepping up as the next Thor, Blanchett showed her support for the idea, before arguing that the McU has already got off to a strong start when it comes to female-led solo flicks.

“I’m so, so excited. I’m...

Ryan Gosling Spotted Meeting With Thor: Love And Thunder Director
It’s been several years now since the arrival of Adam Warlock was first teased during the post-credits of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. And thanks to Disney deciding to fire and then rehire director James Gunn for Vol. 3, it’s going to be at least a couple more years before the character finally shows up. Or will it?

What if Warlock doesn’t appear in Vol. 3 but instead, makes his grand entrance in Thor: Love and Thunder? Sure, he’d be a better fit for the aforementioned threequel, but a very intriguing meeting took place in Hollywood this week which now has fans furiously speculating that the character may debut in the God of Thunder’s next solo film and not only that, but he’ll be played by Ryan Gosling.

You see, Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi was spotted meeting with Gosling this week and given...

Love And Thunder Theory Says Jane Foster’s Thor Will Be From Another Timeline
Thor: Love and Thunder will bring back not only Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder and Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, but also Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. Except this time Thor’s ex will become Thor herself, as she’ll be deemed worthy enough to lift Mjolnir and therefore granted the Asgardian’s powers.

We’re all assuming Portman will be playing the same Jane from 2011’s Thor and Thor: The Dark World. However, ScreenRant has put forward the intriguing theory that the female Thor could be a different version of Jane who crosses over to the main timeline. This could explain why Jane is now worthy when she wasn’t in earlier films.

It would also explain how Mjolnir is back. The hammer was destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok and, though a duplicate was pinched from the past in Avengers: Endgame, it was returned to its rightful place by the end of the movie.

Hercules Rumored To Appear In Thor: Love And Thunder
Rumor has it that Thor: Love and Thunder will introduce another legendary strongman into the McU. We’ve already got to know the eponymous Asgardian warrior over the past 8 years, and apparently his fourth movie may bring us his Greek counterpart Hercules, as well.

That’s according to the Lords of the Long Box YouTube channel, which claims that Herc will appear in Taika Waititi’s follow-up to Thor: Ragnarok. Take this with a pinch of salt if you want, but the mythical hero has previously been linked to Phase 4 of the McU before, though it was said that he was going to be in The Eternals back in March.

Herc could fit better into Love and Thunder, though, serving as a foil to Thor. In fact, the character originally appeared as a rival to the God of Thunder in his debut, Journey into Mystery Annual #1 (1965). Over the years, he...

Idris Elba Wants To Return To The McU For Thor: Love And Thunder
From the moment it was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Thor: Love and Thunder became arguably the most highly-anticipated entry in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The fourth installment in the God of Thunder’s solo franchise isn’t just bringing back Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Taika Waititi, but Love and Thunder will also see Natalie Portman returning to the McU to take up the mantle of Thor.

Waititi’s work on Ragnarok not only completely reinvigorated what was one of the McU’s most stagnant standalone franchises, but it also gave Chris Hemsworth a completely new lease of life as the God of Thunder, with the new and more comedic version of the character becoming one of the standouts in the entire shared universe. Waititi’s success certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed by those with connections to Marvel Studios, and in a recent interview during...

Mjölnir Will Reportedly Return To The Main Timeline In Thor: Love And Thunder
Last month, Oscar-winner Natalie Portman took to the stage at San Diego Comic-Con and lifted the mythical Mjölnir, marking Jane Foster as the McU’s next Thor.

The moment ensured that Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder would be one of the most talked about entries in Marvel’s Phase 4 slate, but with the film still over two years away from release, fans were left wondering exactly how the God of Thunder’s old hammer might make a comeback. According to a new (and potentially spoiler-heavy) report from FandomWire, however, the answer lies in the upcoming Loki show.

For his last couple of films, Thor’s weapon of choice has been the Stormbreaker axe, after his trusty hammer was destroyed in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. And while our hero managed to acquire another Mjölnir from an alternate timeline in Avengers: Endgame, his friend Captain America later returned the weapon to its own reality.

Loki TV Show Will Set Up Jane Foster Becoming Thor In Love And Thunder
We’ve known about it for a while, but Marvel’s upcoming Loki TV series was officially announced last month at Comic-Con. The Disney Plus show will feature the Tesseract-thieving version of the God of Mischief from the alternate timeline created in Avengers: Endgame as he travels through Earth’s history to do what he does best: cause some chaos.

It was also made clear at Marvel’s Sdcc panel about Phase 4 that all the Disney Plus series will directly fit into the ongoing continuity of the McU. For instance, WandaVision will lead into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. How Loki would play into the bigger picture wasn’t made clear at the time, but a new report may reveal the truth about how the series will lay the groundwork for Thor: Love and Thunder.

FandomWire writes that Loki will conclude with the Asgardian trickster making his way back to the prime timeline,...

Korg Will Have A Much Bigger Role In Thor: Love And Thunder
The God of Thunder was officially revealed to be getting a fourth solo movie – a first for the McU – last month, in the form of Thor: Love and Thunder. Taika Waititi is returning to write and direct after he successfully relaunched the franchise with Thor: Ragnarok in 2017 and just like in that film, he’s set to play a role in front of the cameras as well as he’ll be reprising Korg, the loveable Kronan last seen in Avengers: Endgame.

According to Hn Entertainment, though, we’ll be seeing more from Korg than ever before in Love and Thunder. The site can’t dish out any details just yet, but it seems his role will extend beyond his supporting presence in Ragnarok and cameo in Endgame. This wasn’t confirmed in their report, but presumably, we’ll see more of Korg’s insectoid pal Miek, too.

As Hne points out,...

Avengers: Endgame Writers Reveal The McU’s Three Geniuses
Look away now, Doctor Strange; the creative team behind Avengers: Endgame have named the three “scientific geniuses” of Marvel’s cinematic juggernaut and, well… there’s no room for the Sorcerer Supreme.

As part of the Endgame commentary track (h/t ComicBook.com), directors Joe and Anthony Russo sat down with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely – writers of Endgame and many of its McU predecessors – to analyze each and every frame of what is now the highest-grossing film in history.

Part of that conversation involved the three scientific geniuses of the McU. Tony Stark and Bruce Banner are a given, of course, but the third entry? It may surprise you to know that the Russo Brothers, along with Markus and McFeely, hold Rocket Raccoon in that same bracket.

It takes Eitri, you know… and a legendary forge to make the first glove. And it takes Banner, Tony and Rocket to make the second one.

Thor: Love And Thunder - 10 Ways Taika Waititi Can Fix Jane Foster
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were taken by surprise at this year’s Comic-Con when the franchise’s producers announced that in the new Taika Waititi-helmed Thor movie, Love and Thunder, the long-forgotten romantic interest Jane Foster will become the new God of Thunder. This seemed unusual, since the character, played by Natalie Portman, hasn’t had a major McU role since 2013 and proved to be controversial among fans for her general dullness.

Why Natalie Portman Originally Left The Thor Movies
Here's why Natalie Portman initially left the Thor movie franchise after Thor: The Dark World. Portman will be making her glorious return to the McU in Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder, reprising her role as Jane Foster and, more importantly, transforming into Mighty Thor. Portman has been absent from the McU for quite some time, so why did she originally exit the Thor franchise?

Jane Foster was first introduced as an astrophysicist in 2011's Thor. After investigating New Mexico with her team, she encountered the God of Thunder and quickly got caught up in the demigod's Asgardian conflict. Jane later became Thor's love interest and returned in Thor: The Dark World. While snooping around an abandoned warehouse, Jane was infected by the Aether, the liquified form of the Reality Stone. The Aether was later drawn out of Jane and Thor helped save the day with the help of his allies on Earth.

Mortal Kombat Movie Will Feature Video Game-Accurate Fatalities
You want to see a movie where a guy’s spine gets torn out by a ninja? How about one where a teenage girl kicks a guy’s heart out and then makes kissy faces through the bloody hole? Or the God of Thunder electrocuting someone so bad their arms and legs pop off, only to be mashed into a tiny flesh ball?

Well, expect all that and more from the upcoming Mortal Kombat film. Writer Greg Russo has explained in an interview that the movie intends to stick very closely to the series’ gore-splattered tone, and will include fatalities taken directly from the games.

“I can say for sure that the fatalities that we’re going to put into the project are from the game. We’re going to come up with some new things that we haven’t seen before, but at the same time … we want to...
