Probably the best 2 parter in the show

Warning: Spoilers
Ok people don't talk about these episodes enough. This season overall was one of the weaker ones, but by no mean bad. It especially picked up in the second half. Episodes like "Being Frank" and "Mac and Dennis go to the suburbs" were classics, but these were something else. The first part is just a classic "the gang goes out" episode, not much to talk about, just a really solid episode. Where it really shines is in the second part. Again, a bottle episode isn't too new for the show, but this episode does something else. The parts that make this episode are the dinner party, the part where Dennis breaks mac and especially the part where the gang accepts their fate. Season 11 has redeemed itself and I can't wait to see what season 12 has to offer.

Fun two-parter

Warning: Spoilers
This review contains spoilers.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's tenth episode of the eleventh season is entitled "The Gang Goes to Hell: Part Two". The Gang are trapped on a sinking ship as they are locked into the brig.

The episode is a good capstone to the two-parter episode on the boat. The episode has every member of the Gang in distinctive and fun scenes. This two-parter finale highlights all of the insanity of the Gang and it makes for a classic It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode.

I recommend "The Gang Goes to Hell: Part Two".

Grade: B

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season Eleven

The eleventh season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia continues to follow the Gang that owns Paddy's Pub. The eleventh season is incredibly solid without any weak episodes. All of the episodes in this season have a wild charm to it and it makes for a fun experience overall. The season does not change from the tone of comedy in the previous seasons. This is a season that continues the craziness from earlier seasons.

I would recommend It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's eleventh season.

Grade: B.

Beautiful.

Warning: Spoilers
Previous reviewer, I respect your subjective views on this episode and the whole season, but I just want to say I disagree with you. I mean, c'mon man, you rated X-Men Origins 10/10.

Season 11 started off strong and ended on an amazing note that I thought this show could never, WOULD ever pull off. Who doesn't like callbacks? And they only did it once(going to the "welfare store" and Dennis+Dee smoking crack), 10 years later. I don't think they're running out of ideas. It's more like showing the fans love. Near the end of this episode, I was hit in the feels.

**SPOILERS** The gang was about to drown and they all joined hands to perish together. It was absolutely beautiful. I never thought a show full of satire/dark humor could make me tear up. Of course, satirical humor occurs in the aftermath, which is right up to speed with the show. This could've been a perfect series finale if the show ended, but with 3 more seasons on deck, I can not wait until what Rob, Glenn and Charlie has in store for us.

TL;DR This bottle episode was awesome and I highly recommend Season 11.

S11: Does it again

Warning: Spoilers
Now in its eleventh season, this show has perhaps had its stronger and weaker moments but yet manages to continue to produce seasons such as this one. As usual there is not really a narrative thread through the season, but instead we have the characters themselves continue to be the glue that holds it all together as they continue to be as morally reprehensible as they are funny. This season sees them involved in a 1980's ski movie filled with questionable sexual escapades; exploring art; celebrating St Patrick's Day; going to court; and ultimately going to hell in their own way.

This season will not win over those who have not enjoyed previous seasons, however there seems to be more than enough people who enjoy what it does for that not to matter at this point. Instead the challenge is for the show to stay fresh and manage to deliver what makes it great but not feel like it is spinning its wheels by doing so. This season manages to do that really well. Perhaps one or maybe two of the episodes are not as strong as they could have been, but mostly it is very funny and inventive stuff - with the courtroom episode being by far the strongest.

As ever the cast and creative minds behind the comedy, make the most of the strong writing by delivering their characters perfectly. Material and laughs are well spread out and the season is pretty consistent in how funny and enjoyably awful it is.

A disappointing season of what could have been great
namikazedante10 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
First off I have been a big fan of It's Always Sunny. But this season started off with old re-used jokes and just plain boring story lines. But what about the finale ? Well I can't say it was a good one. Sure a some minor chock gags here and there and the gang being weird as always. But nope I can't say that anything about this episode was funny? And it was clear , at least for me from the beginning of this two parter episode that it's gonna be some lame joke at the end and everything worked out in the end. So nope I was disappointed while everyone else is jumping and saying ''OMG! THIS WAS THE BEST EPISODE EVER!!'' And no it wasn't. I would even go as far as to say that this whole season was a disappointment. I can name 3 episodes that I really found funny and was new in some way. 'The gang hits the slopes'' , ''Mac & Dennis Move to the Suburbs'' and ''Charlie Catches a Leprechaun''.

Other than that it started off weak and they went out weak. I mean the first mistake was to rehash old jokes like that game the gang came up with.

But just look at what happens when they think of something new? Then it's great. No I wanna see the gang doing something crazy and new instead of what they already done. Why not introduce some new characters? Go on a road-trip or anything? Instead of what they did now and try to stick with the nonsense of crazy things they done in the past. Just look at when Mac and Dennis moves to the suburbs ! That kind of crazy is what Sunny is all about.

Sorry but for me I am sad to see this season beginning on a weak note and ending on a weak note. It was in the middle it was the best and then dropped again. And this comes from someone who loves the show !

Weakest Season so far
jbencker7 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
People have been saying the show isn't was it once was for a couple of seasons now and this is the first time I have to agree. There are always some weaker episodes but all in all I really loved season 1 - 10. When I watched season 11 I was disappointed for the first time - which doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. It was just not as good as it used to be.

The season really started on a weak note with the first few episodes, sometimes forgoing continuity and character development for cheap jokes and heavily relying on repetition. The highlight of the season was undoubtedly the outstanding "Mac & Dennis Move to the Suburbs", which was just brilliant. The second half fortunately improved over the first half, with the finale being one of the better episodes: In "The Gang goes to Hell" the Gang has a beautiful bonding moment when they think they're about to die only to - in true IASIP fashion - go back to their usual selfish and sabotaging ways the second they see a chance at surviving.
