- One character is a teacher who sexually abused young schoolchildren - this is not shown in graphic detail, but it is alluded to by his victims and he is briefly shown on screen menacingly approaching the children's beds in the boarding school dormitory at night.
- A woman describes being sexually assaulted by a teacher as a child. This is not directly shown but implied by a brief scene showing a man standing beside the beds of two sleeping children and by the woman saying how his fingers would leave chalk stains on their underwear.

- A man has a lobotomy performed on him. A woman takes a large, sharp prod and sticks it in his face, beside his eye. The man screams and blood seeps out of his face slowly. Another woman places a small rod into the side of his head and taps the end of the rod with a small hammer.
- A woman handcuffs a man to a bed, threatens him with a knife, and then implies that she is going to amputate a body part from him. Later another character is shown finding what is implied to be the amputated body part, and recoiling in horror. The act itself and the body part are not shown onscreen and the film doesn't describe or specify exactly what she did.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- A lobotomy is performed on a man. The scene is very intense, graphic and disturbing.
- A character angrily accuses another character of self-harming by cutting, and goes off on a tirade in which he says people who self-harm are selfish, while also describing methods of self-harm in detail. Viewers who struggle with self-harm are likely to find this scene triggering.
- It is described that two young girls were taken advantage of sexually at a young age by their caretaker. They conspire and murder the assailant decades later.
