I got to see this film at the 2015 Hoboken International Film Festival. It was nominated for "Best Screenplay", and for good reason! I saw a lot of films at the HIFF actually, and this one stood out among them in very good ways. The directing had a smart style to it, and the film just looked beautiful. I love the framing of the shots. They had a lovely stylish composition, and the colors were well placed. But, my biggest attraction to this film comes from it's story. I love the depth and detail of the dialogue. I feel like there's not enough depth in modern cinema anymore, and this film's story stood out to me in a way that so many modern films simply do not. I love how the story was told with patience, and It was quite interesting to see the psychology of the characters bend throughout the story. Good acting too, and it's always cool to see fresh new faces in cinema! From what I understand, this is the first feature from the writer-director. I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with next! I would have given the film an 8 if it were a big studio film, but since it's independent, I gave it a 9. Overall, an excellent independent film. Watch it if you like a film with depth!
