Wired for Sound: A Guitar Odyssey

While interesting, it just becomes so redundant, often coming across as an advertisement. This documentary (and I use that word loosely) basically promotes Gibson guitars from a number of guitar players. Some famous, some you might never of heard from each give some short story how playing guitar influenced them or their music, specifically Gibson. It seems like they go out of their way to NOT mention Fender, Ibanez & other guitar brands although Chet Atkins mentions his brother's "Warshburn" (Washburn) as what got him into guitar.

Les Paul is shown & talked about as the inventor of not only the electric guitar (he did not) but every piece of studio equipment which is way overblown.

Some of the segments are interesting but too many just sound like blatant ads for Gibson. A few guitarists talk like a Gibson Les Paul or other Gibson was their only guitar when they were known to play Fenders, Gretsch & other brands.
