I'm a big fan of the actor Connor Long. I first saw his work in the short film, "Menschen" When I heard of this project, "Learning to Drive," I anticipated good things, and Roderick Stevens, writer and director, did not disappoint.
I'll highlight only these three points. One) The story is believable with flawed and beautiful characters while also fun with a touch of adventure. Two) The camera details, design, and soundtrack reflect and enhance the story-line. Three) Connor Long.
This movie includes "a relatable character with Down syndrome. Truth in ambition, in self- advocacy. The connection of rooting for a hero, more like ourselves then maybe we knew before."
I wrote a long form review of this movie for the HuffPost Blog, if you want to read more about "Learning to Drive" and its impact, you can look there, too.
