Blooper

It is 1922. In the beginning of the episode we see the beaten up Tom Shelby lying in a HALO vest. This is a device to stabilize the neck, usually for fractures, and the first use of it was not described until 1959. A few scenes later he is sitting on the bedside without the HALO vest but with a fresh scalp wound. Although not specifically stated it would be reasonable to assume that the skull operation took place on the same day as the admission to hospital and that the HALO vest was applied directly thereafter. A HALO vest is usually worn from 6 weeks to three months and certainly never for just a few days.

At approximately 17:42, Tommy looks down to light a cigarette, and just before he looks up the frame jumps, showing that the camera has been moved slightly between takes.

At about 15:20, Tom Hardy 's tattoo can be seen between his thumb and his index finger. Faithful Jews aren't allowed to wear tattoos.

During the scene when Aunt polly gets to see her portrait for the first time she pulls off the cloth that is draped over it but when she moves to touch the painting itself she is told by the artist not to as the painting is still wet, if the painting was wet the cloth would likely do far more damage than her touch.

Alfie Solomons calls out the value of the selected Russian Treasury items and Tommy Shelby is keeping the score. When Alfie asks about the current score, Tommy says the value is 37,600 pounds. However, when adding the values as called out by Alfie, the total value should be 29,800 pounds.

When the men are checked for tattoos, a sign of Russian loyalties, the Duchess does not make Arthur take his hat off to see if he has tattoos on his scalp.
