Thule is a data collection center which gathers data and....I'm not sure after that. Late on Friday night they get an M-5 multitronic unit, they call M.A.N.A. It is a cooled by liquid nitrogen...I think and they opt to plug it in. At the same time three very conspicuous hackers break into Thule so they can do some kind of anarchy thing, although they didn't seem too well organized in what they were doing or their goals...but they needed some more bodies to have conflict. Meanwhile another geek is at the gym in a brief subplot.

The computer goes out into the world and hacks everyone which causes issues and riots.

Fairy decent film. They bothered to create characters and toss in a humor element as well as zombie geek stuff. But it was still mostly 5 people trapped inside a building trying to get out. There is only so much you can do there. Needed a rock sound track.

Guide: f-word. No sex or nudity.

I wasn't expecting a comedy. I didn't laugh out loud. But I still appreciated the irony. A surprisingly engaging little sleeper of a film. Worth the watch. Seen on Tubi, the free streaming site; which has an odd variety of low budgets, indies, foreign, and older theater films.

Nifty sci-fi techno thriller

Warning: Spoilers
A group of activist hackers and several computer geeks find themselves trapped inside an office building by the new super computer that's in charge of the building's security. Both groups must work together to prevent the dangerous artificial intelligence from getting out into the world.

Writer/director James B. Cox relates the enjoyable and engrossing story at a brisk pace, takes time to develop the characters, generates a good deal of tension, and even delivers a few moments of surprisingly nasty gore. The solid acting from the capable cast keeps this movie humming: Adam Shapiro as the nerdy Jayhawk, Blake Robbins as nice guy manager Charlie, Molly Burnette as the ruthless Lex, Brian Patrick Wayne as the brutish Burton, Josh Banday as loveable bumbling doofus Rafi, Andy Allo as the scrappy Sparrow, and Courtney Hope Turner as sexy intern Roxie. Lyn Moncrief's sharp widescreen cinematography provides an impressive polished look. Clayton Worbeck's pulsating score hits the funky-throbbing spot. A cool little flick.
