PBS has revealed the trailer for a documentary series titled A Brief History of the Future, created and directed by doc filmmaker Andrew Morgan. The six-part series is hosted by futurist Ari Wallach and the idea is that it will help viewers imagine – and work toward – a better tomorrow. The series challenges the dystopian framework embraced by popular culture by offering a new take on the future exploring potential solutions to existential threats. It invites viewers on a journey around the world that is filled with discovery, hope, and possibility about where we find ourselves today and what could come next. The series is executive produced by Drake and his DreamCrew banner. It is the first project from a new entertainment studio founded by Kathryn Murdoch called Futurific Studios. The creators of Netflix’s “Sintonia,” one of South America’s biggest streaming show hits, KondZilla and Lb Entertainment (formerly Losbragas), are re-teaming to co-produce a slate of series.
Ending speculation on what is next for KondZilla, a YouTube phenomenon and Lb, both based out of São Paulo, the three series – “After the End,” “A Close Call” and “South” – look set to broaden the partners’ compass from “Sintonia,” the coming of age story of three friends set against the crime and vibrant culture of São Paulo outskirts life, its gangs, thriving music scene, religion and sense of community.

Gwen Stefani is standing by her man!
The "You Make It Feel Like Christmas" singer was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, where she opened up about her boyfriend of two years, Blake Shelton, receiving People's "Sexiest Man Alive" honor. The No Doubt rocker revealed that she actually had a lot to do with him accepting the honor.
"I feel totally responsible because he's so not that person," she joked. "He doesn't even like to do a photo shoot. You can never convince him to do it."
As for all the haters who have been criticizing the magazine's decision?
"It was just chaos, craziness," Stefani admitted. "If you think about it, what defines sexy? It really is so personal, you know what I mean? For me, it's just that big ol' heart and that sense of humor. He doesn't even take himself seriously, and he's just such an incredible person. And that's sexy to...

A couple months ago it was rumored that Star Wars: The Last Jedi would be the longest Star Wars film ever released. That rumor has now been confirmed by director Rian Johnson who says the full runtime is 2 hours 30 minutes long! That's a long movie, my friends. That's getting into Lord of the Rings territory, and it certainly gets me excited! The reveal came from a press conference in France where the director was promoting the film and the info was tweeted out:
Rian Johnson confirms that The Last Jedi runtime is 2hr 30m (credits included) making it the longest Star Wars film of the franchise. https://t.co/l0gV2lKn1E
— sleemo (@sleemo_) November 17, 2017
The original three films in the trilogy are the shortest in the saga, with Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi being the shortest with the runtimes of 121 minutes, 124 minutes and 132 minutes.

A series adaptation of Underworld has been in and out of development for years. According to Deadline, it's finally moving forward with franchise producer Len Wiseman, who also wrote and directed the first two films in the franchise.
We also have some details on the direction he is taking the film. According to Wiseman, “The series will be a pretty big departure from the films. I don’t want to say it’s more adult, but it’s definitely less comic book in its tone and character.”
That's interesting to hear. I guess if you're a fan of the films, don't expect this series to have the same tone and style. It sounds like they are approaching things a lot differently. There's no word on if the series will be connected to films in any way, but I assume if the series will be a "big departure" the films, it won't be.

Happy birthday, Faith Hill! The gorgeous country singer turned the big 5-0 today, which is a little hard to believe considering she looks almost the exact same as she did when she started in the industry in 1993 at just 26-years-old. Perhaps the secret to her youthful appearance is simply her lack of care when it comes to aging. "I'm Ok with having lines," Hill told New Beauty earlier this year. "I want people to know I've smiled a lot." Or, it could be the fact that she's just really, really happy...and for good reason! Hill has been happily married to Tim McGraw for 21 years, and they have three daughters together, Audrey, Maggie and...

Millie Bobby Brown shined at this year's Teen Choice Awards, where she walked the red carpet in a sunflower yellow Kenzo dress and dark shades, and stayed calm and collected as she posed for photos and hung out with her friends -- at least until she got star-struck!
Speaking with Et's Lauren Zima at the event in Los Angeles on Sunday, the 13-year-old actress opened up about having to take the stage later in the evening and explained about how she's "never nervous" in situations like that.
"Because everything, life is fun and [life] is good, so I'm not nervous just yet," she explained.
However, in nearly the same breath, Brown realized that she was standing next to Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale, and she had a hard time keeping her composure.

A post shared by maria menounos (@mariamenounos) on Jul 3, 2017 at 7:48am Pdt Maria Menounos is slowly but surely recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor earlier this June. While she confirmed that she doesn't need any further treatments, she asked for prayers for her mom, Litsa Menounos, who is currently battling stage 4 brain cancer. She even posted a heartwarming selfie of the two of them on Instagram. Read her full post below. "First I wanna say thank you all for the well wishes, prayers and support. Maria Menounos has been going through a tough time. The 39-year-old TV personality revealed in People magazine’s new issue that she was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor back in February, while her own mother, Litsa, was battling Stage 4 cancer in her brain.
Menounos has since had the tumor, which was benign, removed in a surgery.
“[My doctor] said there’s a six to seven percent chance that we’ll see it come back,” she told the magazine. “But I’ll take those odds any day.”
Monday morning, Menounos took to Instagram to thank her fans for their support, posting a photo with her mother.

A trailer has surfaced for a new horror thriller called 12 Feet Deep. The story centers on two girls who somehow get trapped under the cover of a public swimming pool. As someone who is claustrophobic, this seems like it would be a nightmare. Apparently, the film was inspired by real events.
There are no ghosts or pool monsters in this film, but they do attempt to make things a bit more interesting by adding a seemingly crazed janitor. Here's the synopsis:
Sisters Bree and Jonna get trapped beneath the fiberglass cover of an Olympic sized public pool after it closes for the holiday weekend. They find themselves at the mercy of the night janitor, Clara, who sees the trapped sisters as an opportunity to solve a few problems of her own.
The film was directed by Matt Eskandari and I'm kind of curious to see how the film plays out.

To entice Goldie Hawn back to the big screen -- for her first film in 15 years -- it took a special script (Snatched), a special co-star (Amy Schumer) and a special director: Jonathan Levine, whose past work includes the cancer dramedy, 50/50, and the stoner Christmas carol, The Night Before. In his latest, Levine is tackling mother-daughter bonding (and snatchin') and Et phoned the director to discuss the road to bringing Hawn out of semi-retirement, doing improv with Schumer and the movie he would like to direct with Jennifer Lawrence.

In case anyone reading this is wondering... yes, the old Jean Grey is still dead. It's the young Jean Grey from the past who got sent to the future who has to deal with the Phoenix this time, but could this time be different?
The new Jean Grey (or old depending on how you view time) is very much trying to be her own Jean Grey. Jean Grey knows the other Jean Grey's past and doesn't want to make the same mistakes that Jean Grey made. Wow... That sounded confusing. From now on, we'll just call them Classic Jean and Jean Jr.
Jean Jr. has a history of Classic Jean and knows where her history is headed, but despite that, she wants to be her own person. She doesn't want to deal with dating Cyclops and being possessed by Phoenix, and all that other stuff. She doesn't want to follow in footsteps already walked.

The Back to the Future trilogy is one of my favorite franchises of all time. It was such a fun and adventurous story that ended on the perfect note. I never really felt that I needed to see a fourth film in the franchise, but after watching this fan-made trailer for Back to the Future Part IV, my interest was piqued. The trailer comes from the YouTube channel Smasher, and it came with the following plot summary:
Taking place thirty years after the original trilogy, back to the Future Part IV follows Doc Brown as he changes the past to make the future more in line with how it is in reality.
I know we'll never see a fourth Back to the Future movie and I'm ok with. I just hope that no one comes along to try and remake it!

Cue the Taylor Swift, and welcome back Tinsley Mortimer to New York.
On The Real Housewives of New York City Season 9 Episode 2, it's less about Tom and more about new faces.
Tinsley failed to make an appearance on last week's premiere, but you may remember her as a socialite who graced the tabloids for years in the 2000s. She was a regular on red carpets, and eventually in Page Six for her divorce and legal drama.
Personally, I could never forget her cameo during Gossip Girl's season two white party in the Hamptons.
Especially after Blair Waldorf threw shade at her earlier in the series. "Gossip Girl's credibility is like Tinsley Mortimer's after a few martinis," Queen B said after Gossip Girl started posting crazy stories with no sources.
I certainly hope the ladies paid attention during Gg, and I can't wait until all of them meet her.
