Probably worked better as part of a bigger Deptford or Lottery project or event – but not a huge amount here as a standalone film

Filmed around the streets of Deptford in London, people in a busy market area are asked what they would do were they to win the lottery.

I'm not sure if this film was made as part of a bigger project or not, but it does feel like something that would slot into an exhibition, or a themed day of arts activities etc, because it really is not strong enough to stand on its own as a short film. The base of the question is simple but unfortunately so are the answers. The people chosen to talk to are good since they are mostly colorful in their nature, but also represent a broad cross section of the community; however the question really doesn't draw out anything special or interesting in response. It is engaging enough in its parade of people, but there was no character or flair to the answers that made me lean forward.

What did make me lean forward was the sound quality combined with the accents, it was often hard to hear although not too bad considering the changing locations and backgrounds. I guess for those in Deptford or those viewing this as part of something else, then more is on offer, but for me it was distracting but nothing much more than that.
