Violence & Gore

  • A character shows others a video of a decapitation. You don't actually see anything, but the other characters comment on it.
  • Two characters are held at gunpoint threaten into stop their activities by men from a cartel. Pretty intense scene.
  • Some kicking and punching here and there, violence or violent acts aren't that frequent on the film.

Profanity

  • Tons of bad word in spanish, they're thrown over and over during casual chatter.

  • Some drinking and frequent smoking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film is about a street dancer who had to emigrate to the United States in order to escape from a very intense situation he unintentionally got himself involved back in the city of Monterrey at the time the city got taken over by drug cartels. The movie explores themes of losing identity and how things you love will eventually change weather you like it or not. As such, the film can get very emotional and upsetting at times, specially in the second half of the film.

  • A character witnesses a shooting. The action is quick, but very brutal, and you linger in the aftermath of the whole deal

  • A character is show sniffing glue while having a flashback from his past life.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The shooting scene is very sudden and somewhat realistic. You'll probably be shocked by it, and the way the scene lingers on the aftermath is chilling.
