Sends mixed signals
sleepingsunrise18 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This film could be a great romantic film, but there's too much sexual predation by Cooper. He continues to make advances, while he has another woman (Brittany) chasing after him. He ignores both Jenna and her boss (his sister, Mia) and thinks of it as more of a challenge to get Jenna yo eventually say "yes" to him This is so disrespectful. Movies like this continue to perpetuate rape culture (because he ignores Jenna when she continually turns him down). He eventually wears her down, although I'm sure some of this is due to the stress she's under from work and her dad's absence. It also perpetuates the idea that bad boys/ playboys eventually settle down for the "good girl". So, the other women are like trash, just there for him to play with until he finds "the one". If the feelings were mutual then this movie would be great.

A cliched Romantic TV film
lisafordeay3 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Another Christmas Kiss aka A Christmas Kiss 2 is the sequel to the first A Christmas Kiss film and tells the tale of a young woman and a playboy man named Cooper who share a passionate kiss in an elevator. So will Cooper and the girl get together in the end? You bet they do. The whole film is so cliched and corny I kept saying wow wonder would that happen in the real world. The ending was also so cringy as Cooper pops the question to the chick he smooched in the elevator.

Decent for a cheesy Christmas movie
peaceev30 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Knowing beforehand it was a cheesy Christmas movie, it was pretty decent. Few good actors, some bad ones, and pretty predictable storyline. But it was overall pretty cute. HOWEVER (SPOILERS!!!), the ending was a little proportionally weird to the timeline for the movie. I mean they met for MAYBE at the most a month or so, not even fully together as a couple, and he proposes?! Definitely seemed random for the movie ending, and to be honest, the more I think about the timeline of the couple in the movie getting married the more worked up I am about it. Overall, the movie wasn't a complete was of time. That ending though...

I do not know the original film. and the Christmas films are always cheese or nice or too predactable for me. in this case, my beliveves are not in error. a nice film, the same love story, few memories about real good romantic films from"40's - "50's. the only mistery for me - why Jenna prefer Cooper and not the perfect, ideal, the best buddy Sebastian ? but each reasonable film must have a fundamental question.

Still waiting for my holiday romance?
adamjohns-4257524 November 2020
This film is obviously very similar to the first, but the lead guy is hot AND there's a hot best friend too.

The boss isn't as evil in this sequel, but the nasty one from the first film does make an appearance.

A troublesome lift throws two strangers together, but will love blossom, when they realise who they are?

It's an improvement on the first, possibly because you're really rooting for the guy to actually change his ways. Or possibly because he's way hotter and that helps you fall in love with him too.

A tad unrealistic, but still a nice watch.

Terrible movie
ericcolsson2 October 2021
The whole movie plot is dependent on sexual harassment in the workplace as a way to get the girl. This is a terrible premise to base a movie on and the studio that made it even in 2014 must have been completely out of touch with the reality that workplace harassment is illegal in the United States.

Not bad
starsgood20 December 2020
I don't normally like these types of movies but this one wasn't bad. Cooper and Jenna had a strong chemistry and the story flowed well. Good Christmas Romance!

This is a crap movie
johanohammar27 November 2021
Cooper comes through as a hopeless playboy with a serious attitude problem. It's very unbelievable that Jenna should fall for him. The only way they could have saved this movie would have been to have Cooper miserably fail and eat humble pie. Only when he'd really changed his ways would this have been salvageable but that doesn't happen.

Stalking and harassment win the girl!
gwynmoses10 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is a good, schmaltzy Hallmark type of Xmas film which will be instantly forgettable but is entertaining at the time. The acting is mediocre, the actors and actresses are incredibly good looking, the location shooting done down to a budget with no superfluous scenery or props.

On the surface this is a boy gets the girl type plot, but underlying the whole thing is that stalking and sexual harassment are the best way to win over women and that throwing money around will ensure success. This is coupled with the male lead, Cooper, treating his original girlfriend like dirt with attempted infidelity and then dumping her on her birthday because he is obsessing over another woman.

Whilst coming to the normal conclusion for this type of movie, it is obvious that the relationship won't last and that lives will be ruined long term.

Yikes
marmar1321 December 2018
I expect a certain level of cheesiness and bad acting from Christmas movies, but the entire film I couldn't tell whether to take the lead guy seriously. He has a smirky douchiness to him that makes the entire story fall flat. Then there's the fact that the movie is based on the idea of a hostile work environment being charming. No thank you.

Better than "A Christmas Kiss"
kall66954 December 2016
This sequel to "A Christmas Kiss I" is great! In "A Christmas Kiss II," the female protagonist, Jenna, played by Elizabeth Harnois, is a budding designer who is assistant to Mia, the owner of a fashion magazine. In arranging a photo shoot, she has to get decked out in "Mrs. Claus" outfit, along with gaudy jewelry when the model doesn't show up. Meanwhile, Mia's playboy brother, Cooper, shows up along with his bimbo. He wants to celebrate Christmas with his sister Mia. Jenna meets Cooper on the elevator, where she has a feisty conversation with Mr.Playboy, before the elevator gets stuck. As in the first movie, A Christmas Kiss, they appear to be under the mistletoe and are irresistibly drawn to each other and have an amazing kiss. Mia is unhappy that her brother, who is a partner in the company, has come around to bother her, so Jenna suggests that Mia give him a job to do. Naturally Mia assigns "handling Cooper" to Jenna. And so it goes....There is the friend next door to Jenna, the bad parent, the jealous bimbo that messes with the budding relationship, and finally the satisfying conclusion. This sequel is better than "A Christmas Kiss"- Elizabeth Harnois, as Jenna, is older and more seasoned than the girl in Kiss I. Much more of a reasonable match with the guy. In Kiss I, the girl is Way too Young for Brendon Fehr! And I just can't get past Brenden Fehr's hair. I didn't care for the jewelry though! WAY too over the top and huge!!

bland remake of a 2011 Christmas movie
Dunham169 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The earlier Christmas Kiss had successful theme, plot, Christmastime philosophy, casting and generally worked. This remake follows the plot but not the theme as the rich are not focused and realistic while the ordinary folk are not enticing in their fictitious characters. This film is primarily for those seeking more and more choices of seasonal movies on the Christmas theme but in no way one of the better ones other and Elisabeth Roehm shining in both in a secondary not the heroine role.

Without regard to the folks that are all exorcised with harassment ,the movie is just plain awful. Preposterous script, terrible acting, ridiculous situations, lack of direction, unbelievable, total waste!

I wish I were paid to write garbage like this...
KehDBug30 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Wow! Is this a male fantasy or what? It wasn't so bad when the male lead was non-committal towards women in general, but then when he begins to act as a sexual predator towards the female lead? And Mia lets it happen? The lead should have gone to HR immediately. This whole scenario is a lawsuit waiting to happen. As if that wasn't enough, it's all okay at the end because he proposes to her??? I know that in too many other parts of the world, women are viewed as second-class citizens at best, and property at worst, but I thought in America we'd made some progress. These types of movies just set us back and de-humanize us. How did this script get greenlit?

Loved it!
lihudson22 February 2020
This was one of the better Christmas movies that I've seen!! It had a good story line and great actors. It was very believable. I've been watching the Hallmark Channel for several years and though I love their actors and movies, the story lines are too similar. A Christmas Kiss II was original. And the end was so beautiful.

Starts with assault, ends with Kay Jewelers
juztiss-4597430 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is just morally and creatively bankrupt. Billionaire assaults his employee while trapped in an elevator. Continues to stalk her for the entire movie. Proposes in the elevator with a Leo diamond from Kay Jewelers though, as mentioned, he's a billionaire.

She just sort of floats through the whole movie with no agency until it just, mercifully, ends.

Don't watch this.

Predictable, but isn't that why we watch these :)
nettec214 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I understand some of the reasons behind the bad reviews that have been given. However, when someone watches a movie like this, we already know basically how it's supposed to end. This isn't a real life movie (that's not what we came here to watch). It's a movie of sweet romance and for some, an escape of real life.

I enjoyed this movie. Yes, it's cheesy and predictable. But it's also sweet, romantic and allows everyone to win in the end (except, of course, the vile Brittany). I like the actors/actresses and think they were very enjoyable to watch. If I hadn't enjoyed it, I would have changed the channel :).

No magic like the original.
asmithee2327 December 2014
Meh. I am not a fan of the cheesy, predictable TV Christmas movies but the original however, was well-made, had a rich look production wise and was more than adequately acted. Its' predictability was easily forgiven because the journey to the inevitable end was so charming. This one barely makes it to acceptable. The acting by most is not good. Some is quite bad like the tarty girlfriend and Dad while others do well, ahem - Jonathon Bennett (Sebastian) and Elisabeth Rohm. The boss lady was alright, too. The love interest man (Cooper) carries a dopey smile throughout the whole film and isn't nearly slick enough to be a worldly, charming Lothario. The make-up level for the actors was also set to soap opera level. Overall, it's one to skip.

Could be nice love story but
Jackbv1233 January 2018
Here is the real ending of this movie: Jenna, after hiring a big time lawyer, is now relaxing on a beach in Fiji where she has one of her 10 homes throughout the world. She gained full control of Trend and sold it. Meanwhile Mia is a waitress in a diner and Cooper rides a garbage truck. (OK so that's not how it ends.)

This movie appeared on Ion television in December 2017, well after dozens, if not hundreds, of women stepped forward to resist and abolish sexual harassment and abuse in the workplace especially entertainment. I frankly cannot believe that any television network would be this irresponsible.

The first half or more of this movie is pure and blatant sexual harassment. Jenna clearly shows that she is uncomfortable with Cooper's attention. The sexual tension he is giving of can be cut with a knife. Maybe a chainsaw. At first it is tension with an underlying hint of threat even if no threat is unintended. And this is a textbook definition of sexual harassment. In addition, Cooper invades Jenna's privacy repeatedly. He effectively, if not technically, steals documents from her. He listens in on what is obviously a private and sensitive phone conversation. He continues to ignore Jenna's refusals over and over. He has a cavalier attitude toward everything. Mia even verbally acknowledges the inappropriate behavior in front of both Cooper and Jenna.

So I hope the moral of this movie is NOT that sexual harassment is OK if the girl eventually gives in willingly. This genre of movies needs to clean up it's double standard. Admittedly the movie was made in 2014, but that doesn't mean it needs to be shown.

If Cooper does not cross the line, this is actually a nice love story and Elisabeth Harnois and Adam Mayfield have chemistry. As I said, at first the tension is negative. But even in that there is uncertainty in Jenna's feelings even though she is clearly saying no. But it turns into a better chemistry.

Mia is actually not a villain for a boss. In this case her dad is a villain every bit as cruel as Mz Hall is in Kiss 1 (interesting that she is a common denominator in the two movies.)

There was a bit of mystery for me because her BFF is the man who lives next door. In so many movies, the opposite gender BFF turns out to be "the one". Possibilities?

As in so many of these movies, several characters' feelings turn 180 degrees far too quickly - Jenna, Mia, Dad. Towards the end, a lot of things are rushed. Too bad the movie didn't spend more time on making those things flow better and less time with inappropriate criminal behavior.

I gave this the worst rating allowable out of principle, but if you remove the unacceptable parts, the movie has potential.

A fantastic movie - A Christmas Kiss II
angeleyes-6824428 April 2015
What a wonderful story about two people falling in love. I have seen many love stories but this one is terrific. I have watched this movie over and over again. I use to watch A Christmas Kiss the same way and I bought the DVD as well. I have looked and looked for A Christmas Kiss II on DVD but as of yet I have not found it. If you love romance stories you will like this one for sure. The cast is perfect and I just love Cooper and Jenna. Sebastian is also great. This is one of my favorite movies and I have quite a collection but I can say this one is the one I watch the most and even though it happened at Christmas, I watch it all year. I can only hope some day soon it will be on DVD.

Harassment Example
vitagoodnight28 October 2020
I can't see how this movie can be romantic. Main character bounces between women, undermines achievements of his sister by disrupting her work, disrespects everyone, meets his sister's assistant half-naked and insinuates physical attraction to the assistant that is so inappropriate at work space. He doesn't hear word "no" she keeps repeating, takes papers without owner's consent. The whole movie he is awfully rude and ignorant and doesn't care about anything but himself. At the same time he doesn't work and just spends money, then blames his sister for working too much (that by the way earns the money he spends carelessly). That person is basically a parasite. Awful concept for a movie. Someone without basic decency cannot be a lovable character.

Didn't see Kiss One but this one was so enjoyable, I will seek it out very soon
inkblot1126 December 2014
Jenna (Elizabeth Hamois) is a very capable assistant to the lady, Mia, who runs a style magazine. Secretly, Jenna longs to be a designer and show her drawings to Mia, but J's courage has always failed her. This upsets her dearest pal, Cooper, who also doubles as her next door neighbor. At this moment, Jenna is estranged from her father, who has a new wife and very little time for his daughter. So, Cooper's support is paramount. The December holiday season is approaching so mistletoe hangs in the building's elevator. One day, when Jenna is going up, the door opens and in walks a great looking guy, Sebastian (Jonathan Bennett). Its just the two of them and the man winks at Jenna before he bestows a brief kiss on her lips. Even so, the smooch is dynamite and, amazingly, Jen gives Sebastian a MUCH longer kiss in return. What was she thinking? Especially when Sebastian turns out to be the playboy brother of her boss, Mia, and co-owner of the company, even in absentia? All too soon, Jenna hears and sees enough to know that Sebastian is not reliable dating material. Yet, he keeps pushing the envelope for a date. Oh ho, now Cooper is especially handy because Jenna needs him to pretend to be her boyfriend! Mia tells her assistant that her bro has an on again, off again girlfriend named Brittany anyway. So, will Jenna continue to dampen the ardor of this handsome man and will she get the courage to show her drawings to Mia? Dear romcom fans, this viewer didn't see Kiss Number One but if its anything like this one, its good. What's not to like about a talented, fetching cast, a sweet, funny script, envious costumes, lovely sets and a confident direction? Therefore, kiss off any staid plans you don't want anyway and go get this winning flick instead.

From friendship to marriage
kianaaoibhe11 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I wouldn't even call what they had a friendship, it was basically him just sexually harassing her any chance he could, there was no real mutual interest until the VERY end of the movie, and he came off so cheesy and most of the movie I was cringing.

The fact that they were never boyfriend/girlfriend and hardly friends, and then suddenly their engaged, made me so disappointed in her. They only knew each other for a couple weeks and she really only hung out with him one time whenever her and her BFF neighbor went out and got Christmas trees. All that and she already thinks he's the one? That's literally INSANE.

Like seriously what was that ring made out of?!
