Beautiful Video to an Enchanting song

This song is hauntingly simple and so well vocalized by Chris Martin in his usual heart- felt way. The video is stylistically precious - A gem of early century tech, A must see for all Coldplay fans. Charming and memorable for everyone else too.

Coldplay is always at the top of their game and bring in super A list cast. Hint: Look up IMDb to find out who plays the villain.

This is the music video for the song "Magic" by Coldplay. Chris Martin has recently been in the spotlight because of his divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow, but he also kept making music with his band. This is a song from last year and the video is pretty much in the style of a Chaplin/Arbuckle/Keaton/Lloyd silent movie from 100 years ago or more. There are intertitles included and we basically see all kinds of magic tricks and scenes on stage from start to end of this 5-minute video. The director is Jonas Åkerlund, who worked on many pretty famous music videos in the past, such as Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi". Successful, lauded actors Ziyi Zhang and Peter Fonda are in this little movie, but Martin makes sure that we see him as the star in here. Well.. not a particularly memorable video and the song is also far far away from Coldplay's best. Not recommended.
