How do you look back on your directorial debut?

I’m extremely thankful for all the love the audience has given to Sanam Re. The film struck a chord with the audience, and we had a great response at the theatres and over the years, I think people have really watched it on satellite.

So you are pleased enough to plan a sequel?

I have gotten a lot of response, people coming to me telling me to make Sanam Re 2 and they have loved the film and even say things like that they felt so cool watching it. It was such a film because the film was shot entirely in the snow, so they felt really cold watching the film, and they felt as if they themselves were there.

Mumbai, Feb 21 (Ians) Ace singers Tulsi Kumar and Jubin Nautiyal have collaborated for their upcoming track ‘Mast Aankhein’, produced by Bhushan Kumar.

The music video features Shantanu Maheshwari and Shweta Sharda along with Tulsi and Jubin.

Mumbai, Nov 25 (Ians) Actress Urvashi Rautela wants to try out all genres, but wants to do a romantic film again, after the 2016 release, Sanam Re.

"I have hunger as an actor to do all sorts of films and explore all genres and let myself grow with every film," she said.

"While hope is certainly important, the scientific reason why we tend to fall for a good romantic film is oxytocin or the hormone of love. So when we see a love story, the story resonates with us and our brains react as if we are experiencing it ourselves. When it comes to romance movies, it can feel a bit like we are falling in love ourselves and connecting with the same on a deeper level," said Urvashi.

Actress-filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar, who is the wife of T-Series head and film producer Bhushan Kumar, has said that she has never depended on her husband to get work in the film industry.

"I have never been dependent on my husband for work. When I made 'Yaariyan', he didn't even hear the script. When it became successful, he had the confidence that I could direct a film. How does one explain a Rs. 14 crore budgeted Sanam Re out-distancing the massive budgeted Fitoor at the box office?

Sanam Re director Divya Khosla Kumar doesn't hide her surprise at the turn of events. "I honestly thought Fitoor being a Katrina Kaif film and also considering the director had delivered two successes, would get a better opening. And I was completely fine with that. But Sanam Re scored better than Fitoor! This just inspires me to work harder. Also audience always believes in good product and story."

However, Divya admits she wasn't trying to be one-up on Fitoor.

First one off the shelf is Loveshhuda, a rom-com featuring Girish Taurani and debutante Navneet Kaur Dhillon on February 19. The film has been certified with a UA with no cuts. Though there were certain shots, dialogues and situations that were sexual in nature, the censor board raised no objection as the producer agreed to a 'UA'

However, the co-directors Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao of the other Valentine release Sanam Teri Kasam (which opens on 5th February) were keen on a 'U' certificate. So they were asked to snip off small portions of their dialogues.

Urvashi Rautela, who plays a rich class socialite from Canada in Divya Khosla Kumar's film Sanam Re, has left for Leh Ladakh for the film's shoot.

While the first schedule of the film took place in January in Shimla and second in Mumbai's Filmcity, the third schedule of Sanam Re will take place in Leh Ladakh. Co-stars Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam have already left for the shoot.
