like each horror, the atmosphere is the basic ingredient. useful for minimalist story, few characters and open end. a mother, her daughters, an isolated house. warning at the radio. and a priest. and one of stories remembering old Gothic . obscure end. and it is all. so, a reasonable horror. mix of violence, thrill, references to German fairy tale and the look of child. far to be bad, it is a good job. giving a different perspective, familiar in many scenes, creepy but interesting, remembering and proposing a different perspective about well known things. only surprise - maybe the absence of expected turn of story. but that could be just an insignificant detail.
