Haunting, Thoughtful, Not Overly Judgemental Success

While one might think "Oh Another Anti Capitalist Fracking Film," you would be wrong. The Bakken actually is a study of people which might exist in any community: rich, poor, optimistic and pessimistic. The reality of our modern lives is shown in the the detailed faces and authentic prophetic voices of the people of Bakken, a remote oil boom town in North Dakota. The scenery is is beautiful. The issues dialogue and characters are somewhat random, yet inexplicably addictive and intoxicating. Is it it possible to watch a film, like it, and have no idea why? That's how I feel about The Bakken which is well worth your time.
