  • The movie graphically depicts the effect of high calibre weaponry on the human body, including bodies being severed in half by gunfire and limbs being blown off.

  • The film contains scenes of war violence throughout mainly involving exchange of fire where injuries with some bloodletting can be seen
  • During the militant's attack on the US consulate, scenes of violence are depicted with details such as brief spurting of blood as the two sides exchange fire with each other. Characters who are injured during the attacks are also covered in blood. Another man is cut in half by machine gun fire (brief but very visible).
  • Apart from the violence, there are also brief scenes of gore including a scene depicting the hand of a militant being blown off after he is hit with a mortor. He walks around with part of his forearm and wrist detached from his body, spraying blood.
  • Other scenes include a soldier who is injured at his thighs being brought into a room for first aid, when he is laid down on the table, a fleeting shot of the gash can be seen, followed by some blood spurting from the wound

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The movie sustains a very intense tone and pace throughout, with a strong sense of threat, fast cutting, graphic depictions of injuries, and an unrelenting, aggressive use of sound and pyrotechnics.
  • Many dead bodies are shown with injury throughout the film some are seen dying due to the bullet wounds themselves, as well as smoke inhalation. A prominent character's dead corpse is also thrown off a building
  • The strong element of war violence in the film may prove quite distressing, not to mention that the horrors of war are often shown in realistic fashion.

Violence & Gore

  • A bomb goes off in front of a main character causing his torso to be burned and mutilated with his arm halfway ripped off. VERY GRAPHIC, with a lot of blood spurting along with his torso and body being very graphically being covered in blood. This scene is also extremely intense and emotional

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This is an action-war drama revolving around the events leading up to an attack at a US diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, involving a group of ex-soldiers who are stationed there to protect CIA agents and later serve as the backup security team for the US ambassador, Christopher Stevens.
