For a shot-on-video independent thriller, MY BOO has touches of interest. It's another stalker movie in which an attractive young woman finds herself the subject of an obsessed follower who proceeds to spy on her by the placement of hidden cameras and the like. The viewer is asked to enter this voyeuristic world making for an uncomfortable viewing experience in places.
Unfortunately the end result is spoilt by the lack of incident and narrative structure that makes this a chore to sit through. The best thing about it is the vivacious Eboni Deberry who is fine in the lead role; overall the quality of the acting is better than usual for this amateur efforts. Sadly the ending is a predictable cop-out and the sum of the parts lesser than the individual creepy moments.
