That's a first movie from a genuine ex con who was in the can for armed robbery. So this dude knows many things about what he talks in his film. He can be proud of it. Of course, it's not LA HAINE nor MA 6T VA CRAQUER, but it's a pretty good gangsta film from France. You'll find many clichés here, as always in young gangsters films speaking of the hard life in the suburbs, with a bit of old fashioned honour among hoods. Yes, old fashioned that I like. That reminds me the movies I watched when I was a kid. You have also here little romance and much violence. You can't deal without it in this kind of feature. No way. And even if the men kiss themselves many times here, I assure you, that's nothing to do with gay fashion.
