Sex & Nudity

  • The lead male character is looking at an alien body after the autopsy and decides to take a peek under the sheet at his genitals.
  • A woman steals some clothing off a mannequin. We see the nude mannequin and the camera briefly shows its plastic breasts which are somewhat anatomically correct.
  • An alien copies the body of a surfer girl, as the skin begins to form the camera pans down and you think you're about to see part of a breast, but the swim-top also quickly forms and covers it just in time. There is no nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • Characters bleed lightly in the film, as the Kree species are shown with blue blood on their faces and dripping from their noses at times.
  • A character shoots an alien in the chest, causing them to bleed from the mouth and lie on the floor in pain. The character then executes the alien with another gun blast offscreen.
  • Various sequences of comic-book stylized violence and action scenes. These includes several villains being beaten up in fist fights and pummeled across the screen with energy blasts.
  • characters are shot and the lead destroys a lot of spaceships
  • Various punching, kicking, body throws throughout as seen in the preview. Mild bloody noses etc. are shown.
  • An elite soldier team takes on others. Their foes are sniped, shot from close range and smashed. Not very many dead bodies are shown, but we can assume many of them died from head shots or other heavy trauma.
  • At least five people are shot in the chest at close range. Some die from the blast, others do not. One receives a follow up shot (probably to the head) that clearly finishes him off & though it is offscreen there is a dramatic impact that makes it slightly disturbing.
  • While a Skrull is laying on an operation table, it's seen with its stomach cut open, briefly showing the ribcage, and organs are seen being pulled out. It could be disturbing to some viewers, but it's brief.

Profanity

  • Profane words include: 2 uses of "shit", 2 uses of "ass" (1 time, spoken by 3 characters in unison), 4 uses of "hell", 3 uses of "damn", and 1 "bastard".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some flash back scenes are in a bar with people holding some beer bottles or glasses, but no one is actually seen drinking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several themes of war are shown and portrayed, as innocent women and children are affected by the Kree-Skrull War. These aren't as intense as the Captain America films, but can be saddening to younger viewers.
  • The autopsy scene on the alien is mild but may still disturb younger viewers.
  • The Skrulls' appearances can frighten some.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A character is shot down from her plane. She is shown bloodied and injured. A few moments later, she is killed after another character shoots her. The scene is meant to shock with its abruptness.
  • Nick Fury's eye is scratched by the cat, not much detail is shown but the scars are later shown in a scene.

Profanity

  • After Fury gets his face scratched, he says, "motherflerken." Some people may mishear this as the word "motherfuckin'."

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Goose the Cat is revealed to be an alien called a Flerkin. This results in a scene where Goose opens his mouth and multiple tentacles fly out and eat several aliens offscreen. The scene is extremely sudden and while it's framed and portrayed as a jumpscare, it's primarily meant for comedic purposes.
  • There are scenes in which a creature that takes the form of a cat unleashes tentacles from its mouth.
  • Carol Danvers' past is extremely tragic, as it becomes clear that she was kidnapped from Earth and brainwashed by the Kree, even tricking her into believing that the Skrulls are bad guys, when they're actually not since they're completely innocent. This could be intense for anyone suffering from PTSD.
