Matt, played by Alan Ritchson, says "Skål" during a scene. This is the Nordic way to toast/cheer.
Although the scene with Schmidt's billboard was really filmed in LA's Koreatown, all of the Korean-language signage was made specifically for the episode, and in fact even the signpost itself is fake, as is the fixture for the billboard itself. The four blacked-out windows visible behind the cast, which appear to show a menu for a Korean restaurant, are actually a branch of California Bank & Trust and the branch's ATM is also briefly visible from some angles.
