Pro-Russian Propaganda Trash
dddd-124-9024342 February 2016
Pure crap! In the best traditions of government propaganda channel Russia Today, this "movie" was created to specifically confuse western public about what actually happened in Ukraine. Carefully interweaving lies with truth, Russian dictator regime is trying to implant false notions and ideas into Westerners. Russia did the same with their aggression in Georgia in 2008, lying to the World. This movie is the same lie. This is the same people that created a "crucified toddler" in Slavyansk in 2014. DON'T WATCH!

If you want to learn the truth about Maidan - watch "Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom". That movie has won the Grolsch People's Choice Documentary Award at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and is nominated for 2016 Oscar! In comparison, this Russian propaganda movie was shown only on French TV on one pro- Russian paid channel.

Surprisingly good work which makes people to think

Warning: Spoilers
Surprisingly good work which makes people to think. And even more surprisingly that this work appeared in counterweight of official unsubstantiated view of American government and EU. John Beck Hofmann has made great job with showing all that happened without his personal attitude towards the events. This film is not putting the guilt on anybody but reveals views of participants and professionals. Truly documentary and very necessary film. The main idea of the film is to show who had won from the massacre. In the end the viewer must ask himself about the impartiality of modern media and politics. The game of thrones in action, with blood and deaths... And as of one the participants said: "It seems that we will never find truth", but scapegoats are assigned. People, think unemotional first before action!

worth watching

If you want more background about what happened/is happening in Ukraine, then you can watch this. It has been attacked by some as being pro-Russian propaganda. I suggest you watch it, and then if any specific parts of it are shown to be wrong you discount them. It has some echoes of Syria. ie supposed civil unrest, partly stirred up by overseas forces, attempts by administration to keep control, lots of propaganda/public relations in the air.

Poorly made propaganda
randywein-877-4256088 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This piece of fluff not only bores but delivers nothing in its attempt to convince that black is white, up is down, and the murder of more than 100 civilians by sniper fire during the final three days of Ukraine's Revolution of Dignity could not possibly be the fault of the militarily trained riot police.

The film would have you believe that the actual number of deaths was less than half of what previously had been reported from medical records. And that this reduced total includes some unspecified number of police deaths, none of which previously had been reported by medical or even police administrators. And that all those other dead non- police people must have been shot by ... well, it never really says. Or even suggests. But it was someone else. Absolutely.

But none of that matters! Because, according to each of the police officers interviewed at great and repetitive length, the protesters shot first. Yes! A protester "sniper" opened up with a shotgun at a range of - believe it or not - more than 100 meters. That's more than twice the effective range of a shotgun.

If you don't already believe all of this nonsense, don't waste a single minute enduring more.

Accurate account of Fascists and CIA behind Kiev Coup
manny-ness19 February 2015
A documentary which provides the most accurate account of the role of snipers harboring fascist ideology in the overthrow of the democratically elected government in Ukraine in 2014. The coup government emerged with the active logistical support and financing of the US CIA. The evidence demonstrates that most of the violence was from Ukranian nationalists. To date the Ukranian government has been unable to charge and convict police officers who were portrayed by the Western media as responsible for the violence. For those interested in geopolitics and the rise of fascism, this is an essential film. This film discredits the accounts provided by the major US and European broadcast and print media through through forensic evidence and interviews with key participants in the overthrow of a government, which, despite its flaws, was elected in democratic elections. This film calls into question the tired doctrine the US and west are committed to advancing democracy.

Yet another piece of subtle Russian propaganda for Western audiences
a_adams24 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This is the story Putin wants you to believe: a dramatic story of 3 month long mutilation of innocent unarmed riot police by unprovoked armed protesters.

Conveniently for Russians, this movie skips the November 30 beating of peaceful students, and jumps right into their parents' response, and this cheap trick is repeated again and again. Where are the pictures of 100s of beaten, murdered, shot, kidnapped, undressed, and abused unarmed protesters?

Russia is very busy paying for such "investigative documentaries", and if John Beck Hofmann didn't get a lot of money for it, then he is the real victim...

The Ukranian Dallas?
HitomiLover30 March 2018
Very well-crafted documentary about one of the most peculiar and important turning-point day of recent history. For some reason it remembered me about Kennedy's assassination: in Kiev, as in Dallas, we have a shooter, or maybe more than one. As in Dallas, we have many people interviewed and many point of views. It's panicking to see how many bad reviews there are about this documentary, simply describing it as "Russian propaganda", while the director decided to interview both the Berkut police and the rioters, and "full of lies", even if the documentary provides a lot of videos in order to cover what it says and it doesn't claim any definitive truth.

Terrible product!!!
orfa200825 November 2014
This "movie" diplomatically silent about the fact that all the violence began with a gesture of beating unarmed students and that only after that they took up stones. These white and fluffy "berkut" crippled dozens of journalists, this is not about the words! Parallels with the American police are not allowed here, they beat journalists would not. Showed protesters with guns, and said nothing about all these guns, pneumatic, that only the blind could not see. And about the fact that the special forces in the House of Trade Unions burned alive 47 people about it, too, silence.

... made by Russia Tuday
