Warner Bros Discovery’s (Wbd) global subscribers increased by 5.3m to 122.3m as CEO David Zaslav said the ongoing international rollout maintained course to cross 150m members by the end of 2026.

Streaming was a highlight in an otherwise mixed first quarter that brought expected drops at the studios and television businesses.

Overall streaming revenues climbed 8% to $2.7bn and adjusted Ebitda was $339m. Distribution revenues increased 7% to $2.3bn, driven by a 23% increase in subscribers following the ongoing global rollout of Max and new US distribution deals. The service launched in Australia on March 31 and will debut in the UK in 2026.

Nexus Point News is reporting that The Brothers Son and Sex Education star Alice Hewkin has a supporting role in the movie, and she will play one of the Sklarian Raiders.

James Gunn’s Dcu is going to face major trouble after Donald Trump announced a 100% tariff for movies produced outside of the United States. Trump’s tariff is intended to save the movie industry in America. But movie studios won’t be happy with the new announcement, as some of the major productions are currently operating outside of the U.S.

While Gunn’s Superman production primarily took place at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, the Dcu is planning to move to the U.K. for its upcoming films. For instance, the next film in the Dcu roster, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, is currently in production at the Warner Bros. Studio Leavesden in Hertfordshire.

With a few weeks to go, the first tracking data for Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is out and it seems as though his ace Imf agent Ethan Hunt is gearing up to go out with a bang.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, The Final Reckoning is currently looking at an opening in the $72 million to $88 million range, with box office pundits targeting a $80 million domestic launch over the course of the four-day Memorial Day holiday weekend, which would be a franchise-best, topping the $61.2 million three-day launch for Mission: Impossible - Fallout in 2018.

Meanwhile, Disney's Lilo & Stitch is expected to open around $120 million over the four-day holiday, with projections expecting something in the $110 million to $130 million range, so based on these early estimates, it seems like we're in for one of the biggest movie weekends since 2023's Barbenheimer.

“Sgt. Rock,” to be directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by his “Challengers” and “Queer” collaborator Justin Kuritzkes, is no longer moving forward at DC Studios, TheWrap has exclusively learned. Colin Farrell, already a part of the DC Comics universe thanks to his role as The Penguin in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” and the HBO spinoff series “The Penguin,” was in talks to play the title character after Daniel Craig dropped out.

The issue, one insider noted, came down to scheduling. The film, which would require a lot of exterior shoots, needed to start production this summer and wasn’t going to make its date. Budget didn’t appear to be an issue — it was meant to come in under $70 million, which for a high-priority comic book adaptation, is a bargain.

Based on previous photos and videos, this seems to be part of an outer space battle with Supergirl attacking a tank, fighting its inhabitants as it blasts through the cosmos, and then taking flight while tackling one of her foes.

We don't know who they are, though we wouldn't be shocked if they're somehow linked to Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow's big bad, Krem of the Yellow Hills. Whatever the case may be, the hero has some badass fighting skills.

Now, a new wave of set leaks has surfaced, courtesy of notable leaker @UnBoxPHD and their secondary account @UnBoxPHDFILM.

An insider shared a new video that showcases Milly Alcock’s Supergirl fighting against three enemies on set.

Until now, most of the movie’s filming has been done inside studios or in secret locations. That’s why we haven’t seen many pictures from the set. But now that Milly Alcock is filming outside, in public areas, more photos and even videos might start to show up online.

Earlier this month, photos from the set of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow made their way around the internet, which featured the House of the Dragon star donning the signature cape for her debut adventure in the DC Universe and fans have had a lot of thoughts about it.

That's not particularly surprising as fans have had a lot of thought about all things Dcu since the brand reboot was announced back in 2022. James Gunn and Peter Safran are overseeing rhe relaunch with Gunn's own Superman movie arriving in theaters this summer. Rumor has it that Alcock will make her official debut as the Girl of Steel in that movie, setting the stage for her return in her solo adventure next summer.

But in the meantime, audiences have these set photos to go on, and they look thrilling.

Through his megadeal with Warner Bros. Discovery, highly successful and prolific producer and screenwriter Greg Berlanti will be returning to more hands-on creative work, specifically writing for three different shows, each being developed for a different streaming platform. One of those series is a horror thriller titled Stillwater, which will be created for Prime Video.

Some comic book fans will be familiar with the show's title right away, as it's based on Skybound's horror comic book series of the same name by Chip Zdarsky. Amazon has given Stillwater a series order, although it's unclear how many episodes the first season will have.

The DC Extended Universe ended in 2023 with the sight of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's Orm eating a cockroach. After a disastrous year for the brand, it almost seemed fitting for it to conclude on such a bum note, but it wasn't all bad for the Dceu. 

Sure, it was a rocky ride, and there were perhaps more misses than hits over the years, but it would be wrong to write this franchise off as a total disaster. A few of these titles were even great comic book movies, and it's those that the Dcu will need to compete with.

An insider shared a new video that appears to show costumes worn by the supporting cast. Despite this being a set leak, the video is relatively high quality, and we can see that the supporting cast wears armors along with shields and medieval-looking weapons.

If you're wondering what brings our heroes to the Arctic, well, it's probably safe to say it'll have something to do with the missing Sevastopol, which sank at the beginning of the previous film.

Dead Reckoning spoilers ahead, but, as we all know now, the completed key that Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) managed to swipe at the end of that film opens a chamber in the Sevastopol that contains the Entity's source code, allowing it to be destroyed or controlled.

Krumholtz's Instagram post, which the actor used to announce he's wrapped his scenes, showed the front and back of his chair on set. The back reads "Zor-El", which is the name of his character and the father of Milly Alcock's Supergirl. In the caption, the actor mentioned Alcock, who before being cast as the lead Kryptonian in this film played a younger version of Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon. As DC Studios prepares for the anticipated release of James Gunn’s Superman on July 11, another super-powered film in the Gods and Monsters arc is wrapping production. Today, David Krumholtz, who plays Supergirl’s father, Zor-El, in the upcoming film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, shared a temporary logo for the forthcoming film. Krumholtz featured the logo in a recent Instagram post alongside an image of his casting chair with the name Zor-El on the back. The new photos come a day after Krumholtz posted a picture of himself looking proud and somewhat smarmy while wearing a Supergirl t-shirt.

We expect the Supergirl logo to be redesigned before the film’s release, but for now, the red, blue, and yellow graphic gives off bold superhero vibes.

He has already teased a massive future for his new DC supervillain, Lobo, as he continues his work with Warner Bros. and builds this new franchise.

Lobo will take the spotlight alongside Milly Alcock's Kara Zor-El for the first solo Supergirl movie in more than 40 years, which will also be the second film in James Gunn's new Dcu. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has officially moved to outdoor filming, giving fans a fresh look at the production in action. Over the past few days, we’ve gotten our first glimpses of Supergirl’s new suit, some outer space setup, some flight scenes and plenty of other interesting details.

Now, a new wave of set leaks has surfaced, courtesy of notable leaker @UnBoxPHD and their secondary account @UnBoxPHDFILM.

An insider shared a new video that appears to show Lobo (or a stuntman) rehearsing a fight scene against a mysterious figure.

Momoa confirmed more than a week ago that he wrapped up his scenes so this is more likely an older video or a stuntman.

Until now, most of the movie’s filming has been done inside studios or in secret locations. That’s why we haven’t seen many pictures from the set.

A new photo from the set of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has been shared online, and it gives us another look at Milly Alcock suited-up as the Girl of Steel alongside the mysterious character believed to be Jason Momoa's Lobo.

An obviously fake image of The Main Man did the rounds online earlier today, but we still don't know for certain that this is actually Lobo. This latest photo doesn't really give us much more to go on, and if anything, makes us wonder if this could be a different character entirely.

Though this could me Momoa, the Aquaman star has previously said that his take on the alien bounty hunter would look pretty much exactly like he does in the comics, and this guy doesn't appear to have the pale skin of facial tattoos.

"Well, this is the role I've always wanted to play," Momoa said during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will feature the talents of multiple veterans of the Game of Thrones universe. Supergirl herself will be played by Milly Alcock, who played Young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the prequel series House of the Dragon. She'll face off against space bounty hunter Lobo, who will be played by original Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa, who blew up thanks to his turn as Khal Drogo.

I'm betting that Supergirl will also fight some other villain besides Lobo, who feels more like a miniboss. In any case, the first images from the set are starting to leak, thanks to the tireless efforts of @UnBoxPHD. Here's the first, faraway glimpse of Milly Alcock in costume as Kara Zor-El:

Star Wars’ iconic villain Darth Maul is returning to the screen with a new animated series at Disney+. Maul: Shadow Lord was announced Friday during Lucasfilm Animation’s panel at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo with Sam Witwer, who has voiced the character in several iterations, returning to reprise the role.

Witwer himself took the stage to announce his return in the series, which is currently in production and set for premiere on Disney+ in 2026. He previously voiced the character in animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels and in the 2018 film Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The new series is set after the events of the final season of The Clone Wars, with Maul rising again to lead the underworld factions, according to starwars.com

Paramount Pictures has shared a jaw-dropping new look at Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, offering a quick sneak peek at Tom Cruise's most dangerous stunt yet, as he hangs off the wing of a biplane at 8,000 feet, with winds of over 140 mph blasting!

Another Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow set video has landed today, this time showing the Maiden of Might battling a formidable-looking foe atop a spaceship. She then appears to fly into him, sending the villain hurtling into the unknown.

Supergirl, meanwhile, clings to the side of another ship after their altercation, suggesting that this is a high-speed chase of some sort. If they're hurtling through space, it makes sense why the hero isn't simply taking flight here.

As for the identity of the person Supergirl is battling, many fans are convinced it's meant to be Jason Momoa's Lobo. While we can't fully discount the idea, the photographer in question has said that the actor had announced he'd wrapped shooting before this footage was taken.

That doesn't mean it's not a stuntman, of course, but this looks more like a generic cosmic baddie than the Dcu's Scourge o' the Cosmos.
