The counterfeit IBM XT is shown displaying Chinese characters. However, 1) early PCs did not support Chinese character display, which would have required special (more expensive) graphics hardware; 2) in the 1980s, the People's Republic of China didn't have a PC industry to speak of, and PCs from Taiwan and Hong Kong were not common in the West.
