- Louis comes clean to Harvey and Jessica. Pearson Specter faces an uncertain future as Cahill begins a round of depositions.
- Harvey surmises that Cahill will be targeting the Mike and Rachel relationship in court, but Cahill surprises them all by targeting the Jessica and Jeff relationship instead. While Harvey leads a counter-attack, accusing Cahill and Woodall of malicious prosecutions, Louis makes a confession which leads, by the reaction of others to it, to a realization no one had suspected. Still, the career of one member of the firm comes to an end.—statmanjeff
- Louis Litt confesses what he has done. Jessica and Harvey are furious but must rationally look for a way out. Jessica tells Harvey that when this is over, she will fire Louis for his mistake.
Mike moves back with Rachel, who is over-caring for him and just wants to please him in any way possible. Things seem to be getting okay between them.
Donna tries to convince Harvey that Louis is not the only one making decisions that endanger the firm, specifically Harvey's decision to hire Mike. Harvey tells her that Jessica intends to fire Louis.
Harvey goes to Forstman in an attempt to undo Louis's deal, but he fails.
Donna tells Louis that she understands why he did what he did but is angry with him because this mistake was his choice. He asks her if she knows if Harvey will fire him. Donna shares that, to her knowledge, Harvey is not willing to.
Mike suggests a plan B against Sean Cahill. Harvey delivers Cahill a deposition to start proceedings for malicious prosecutions, which will start with his buddy Eric Woodall.
Louis tells Katrina that he confessed to Jessica and Harvey. Katrina warns him that Jessica will possibly keep him out of prison but will at least fire him afterward.
Jessica orders Jeff Malone to get her everything he can find on Woodall. All the dirt. Jeff is suspicious that Harvey and Mike colluded and that's what they are trying to hide. Jessica stops him without confessing anything and states flatly that Mike and Harvey did not collude.
Harvey, believing Cahill shall be coming after Mike and Rachel at the same time they're going after him, asks Mike to prepare Rachel in case Cahill puts her under oath.
Donna tries to convince Jessica to give Louis a chance, Jessica warns Donna not to interfere with what isn't her business or she could find herself fired again.
In the deposition hearing against Woodall and Cahill, Harvey is on top, quoting evidence-based examples from Woodall's past, indicating that he frames his enemies for crimes they didn't commit. Cahill and Woodall stop the deposition and leave.
Jessica thanks Jeff for his help and they go out (or else in) together for dinner.
Mike sketches a hearing session with Rachel, but Mike turns it to the issue of Rachel's kiss with Logan Sanders. Rachel tells Mike that he needs to trust and believe her in order for them to move on.
At court, Louis offers to help Jessica with her deposition against Cahill but she turns him down. He stays in the court to watch the deposition. Cahill, turning the wrecking ball back to Pearson Specter, brings up the intimate relation between Jessica and Jeff Melone.
Louis goes to Jeff and tells him that the news on his relation with Jessica had gone public in court. Louis wants Jeff to talk to Jessica to forgive him. He says he will.
Rachel and Mike discuss their relationship again, agreeing to try to get over everything that happened.
Back at the Pearson Specter deposition, Cahill now questions Harvey and Mike. He tries to prove that they colluded with each other but they deny it and challenge him to prove his allegations. That indicates to Cahill that he shouldn't be looking to Harvey or Mike but rather to someone else who took money in this deal.
Jeff confronts Jessica about being kept in the dark about Louis' dirty deal with Forstman. Jeff won't handle a relationship where he's being lied to. Jessica leaves to find out how much trouble the firm is in.
Katrina shares the transcript of Harvey and Mike's deposition with Louis. Louis understands he'll soon be outed for tax fraud and his career done.
Mike and Harvey think Cahill must have followed Jeff and Jessica by the same means he had followed them. and following a governmental officer (Jeff when he worked for the SCC) is unauthorized.
Jessica subsequently visits Cahill, confronting him with having no authorization to follow her, Jeff or Mike. Cahill responds by telling Jessica that the attempt of Louis to confess to the SCC about some "fabricated bullshit" just to diverge their attention from the case will not work. Louis' action is news to Jessica.
Louis enters Harvey's office to tell Harvey of his confession to the SEC, which Harvey says Mike can stay and hear about too, but Jessica enters abruptly and beats Louis to the punch, telling Louis he's fired when this is over. Louis reveals that Woodall didn't seem interested in his confession, supposedly as he (Louis) is a little fish. Woodall even let him go home instead of arresting him. Throwing this confession away implies to the team that Woodall has no interest in dragging Forstman into the investigation (a whale compared to "small fish" Louis). They must be tied together. Jessica orders Mike and Harvey to find that Forstman-Woodall connection tonight. Even in this, Louis sees he's still left out of the loop.
Brainstorming and researching through the night, Harvey and Mike can't find a solid, usable link between Woodall and Forstman. Louis enters with an idea: turn Cahill against Woodall, believing Cahill doesn't know of the Woodall-Forstman relationship.
The team visits Cahill. Woodall suddenly appears and is confronted. It works, and Cahill asks for a private word with him.
Now back at the firm, Harvey defends Louis in front of Jessica; but, in light of Louis' history of being told what to do and yet not doing it, she is determined to fire him. Harvey insists on carrying the news to Louis himself. Donna accompanies him, but when they arrive at Louis' office, they find him gone and a touching resignation letter left on his desk.
