Save you from yourself

Warning: Spoilers
The Code of Cain is another phrase for the Mark of Cain. There are two groups, Cains and Abelites. Now the descendants of Cain died in the flood and Abel never had any children. But don't let those Biblical tidbits ruin an otherwise bad film. Sara Ogden (Natasha Alam) whose real name is Sara Connor is a reporter who dresses inappropriately for the office and an Abelite whose job is to appeal to those Cain people not to be disruptive. She is in Belarus, with a pair of siblings believing one is a Cain (Evgeny Shmarlovskiy) and another an Abelite (Ruslan Chernetskiy) who is good in bed. One brother hates the other...and a girl (Olesya Grybok) is involved. Eric Roberts has a cameo role as Sara's boss.

The film had some action and two seconds of a poorly lit love scene. The plot was hokey and tied up with a theme that doesn't make much sense and with a PLOT SPOILER...some other guy in Minsk has a brother too! Guide: No f-words. A sex and back nudity scene not worth mentioning. Some bad dubbing. What about Seth?

Aims at Bourne, fails miserably

Warning: Spoilers
THE CODE OF CAIN desperately wants to be a slick and gritty international action thriller along the lines of the BOURNE trilogy but in reality it's completely unlike those films. For starters, it has no action scenes and is quite dull as a result, lacking the suspense and momentum that all decent thrillers need in order to keep the viewer interested. This film was shot in Belarus with an unknown cast and a cameo from Eric Roberts at the end which is nothing to get excited about. The direction is static, the budget is very low, and the lead actress is a teensy bit dull. Sure, there are lots of different locations, but when the film is so devoid of energy none of that really matters.
