what a nice NIGHT
eskrigian24 May 2017
I didn't expect much from this film. it's a low budget indie and in my experience often times these movies don't have much to offer. If you're looking for blood, gore or nudity, this isn't the one. instead, it's a smart drama with limited locations (1 basically), lean dialogue for the most part, and no faces that you'll recognize - which is where the beauty lies. the actors took the film to a place few art films go. OK, a few scenes were too long, I think, and the dialogue could've used a bit of tweaking in a few places, but the cinematography was so impressive, editing, sound, and even the background score was right on target. a recommend for sure tho it is a slow burner and may take two sittings to watch the whole thing - but do, the ending is worth the wait and not one I expected.

Warning: Spoilers
Every so often a film comes along that has you just sitting and staring at the credits afterward, contemplating what you just saw. This was such a film for me. It wasn't perfect, as it seemed a bit of a stretch that these two people ended up at the same place that night and the conversation got pretty personal unrealistically quick, but much of the dialog and actions of the characters was very real. Many of us can recall a special night we spent with one person during our lifetimes, that had us wondering 'what if.' The two actors in the film were excellent. Can't believe I haven't seen them in anything else, especially the girl.

Highly recommend to those who like dialog-heavy films who also have a bit of a romantic heart.

Great movie!

It's very interesting that 99% of this movie is literally one scene: it's one conversation between two people with two different life perspectives (it's a man and a woman, you can't get any more different than that, right?). I loved how the dialogue starts off casual and progresses to a sort of exchange between hope and hopelessness. It's a beautiful film about two human beings who in one conversation challenge each other and at the same time inspire each other. Jacob Fishel and Pepper Binkley put on outstanding performances.

A must see

This was a very good romantic love story. To be mostly shot in one place the actors carried the dialogue very well and kept my interest on what's going to happen next. The ending played out very well. A good movie for u and your lady

Strong emotions and principles battle it out.

I was not going to write, but I was shocked by the negative review on this movie, so I had to react.

Finding the strength to endure and stand true to your loved ones, especially not abandoning one's children, while finding support in the most unexpected places...this is the message of this movie. You can see the clash of instincts and principles, the slow to develop but then strong bond between the characters, the forbidden passion boiling inside, and then the strong attraction to another reality part of which is also symbolized in the small item they exchange, which is the token of a bond as strong as family.

BEAUTIFUL movie, A+ to the director and cast, such a masterpiece drama in 4 acts.

If you are married non-fundamentalist with a few kids and have retained a few working brain cells and doubts, watch this movie, it will really get you thinking, and it will not end on the night you watch it either. In other words, if you have a beating heart and do not suffer from Asperger's or was raised in a closet, this movie is for you.

beautiful. in profound sense

One of films working as perfect refuge . A man, a woman, a meteorit showel, the dialogue across of night, vulnerability, inspired cinematography and the romance story who you feel deserve for its profound honesty . A film about life and manner to build it , without pretention to impress or seduce but only remind old, fundamental truth who only in a meeting of two strangers works in fair manner, becoming clear at whole.

It is just a beautiful film in profound sense and the slow rhytm of story is just its basic great good point.

Because, after few scenes, it becomes a sort of dialogue with the viewer. And the acting, like the story, has a magnifecent contribution in this sense.

Working in admirable manner. In short, just a precious, beautiful film. Maybe, useful , to.

Where is my tibia?

Watched it because of the high rating on IMDb. Watched it to the end because I am an idiot optimist and like to give movies the benefit of the doubt until the last scene. I even like movies that are really theater plays like this one, where its dialog that makes or breaks them. Well, let me tell you when it comes to the dialog, this one was written by Neil Taylor and Seamus Coleman... ...do not watch!

So pathetic👎🏼
emmaliechapman4 November 2019
This whole movie is about a guy cheating on his wife and I honestly find it so wrong and pathetic. The writer based it on his own life which he actually did cheat on his wife then left his TWO daughters. To make things better, he refuses to pay for child support even though he's rich. The writer and this movie are pathetic and doesn't deserve any clout or money.

"A Night Without Armor" was recommended by a friend and I'm not disappointed. Total immersion with this couple : one location, one couple and beautiful shots. I'm not sure about everything, but I really spent a good time. Highly recommended, specially for an indie film ! By the way, I like the soundtrack !!!

While I appreciate the actors efforts, the tone of the film etc. I think this movie is far from attaining such a high rating.

Worst by the minute...
atalivar5523 December 2020
Two people having a trivial and vane conversation. Two hours talking non sense. If you are an emotional chick you will love it. If you are a drama queen this will be the best movie ever, if you are a human been it will be a waste of time.

20 minutes were enough to turn this off

Oh my! What an awful bit of a superficial conversation I had to endure from two actors with really little talent - a mood killer if you were set to watch a romantic movie with stars and meteors. And by the way: check with an astronomer, how much of a meteor shower can be seen during the suggested full moon. Conclusion: definitely not recommended.
