Another fiction that exploits cancer disease, stupidly and for no reason. I don't understand what these films with such a plot are for, that they serve nothing more than to hurt the feelings and grief of cancer patients and their relatives and family members. It should be a self-censorship that avoids producing these films with these cheap plots.

This movie is about death, really. It starts very cheesy, like they're amaze with each other extravagantly, really? Then it begins to move to an alternating hope and hopeless between all treatments procedure available
All deaths are affecting to us, even to anyone not close to us. I really believe this is relevant to us. Me, especially, just experiencing of my girlfriend ex husband passed away today. Even though we never talked, I feel the grief. Sometimes the imagination just took over with me to become in her position

You'll laugh, you'll cry, and in the end, you'll be transformed.

True real sad story told in very colorful picture and documentary style .Following two main characters through,we learn one segment of real life so is not always sweet and nice but also sad . Finding love help fighting much easier with challenges and obstacles that's following this two characters. Strogly suggesting and recommend this small piece of life story with artistic value level.

This is a true masterpiece work a narrative expression in documentarian way of true love through sadness. Treya's Fate and Ken's faithfulness and love following till the end keeps you up and deeply inside the story not letting you for one moment out of your feelings and hope for Treya. I strongly recommend this true segment from life.

Grace and Grit is a love story which invites the audience to see what is possible when two people turn in towards love. One might feel that Ken and Treya's story is unimaginable.
How could two individuals commit so deeply to each other? Being, this movie is based on a true story, I personally became riveted by their love. I was captivated by how they faced adversity, life+death and deepened their understanding of what love and existence is (was) about.
Sebastian Siegel, Director and Writer, accomplished the unimaginable...he successfully transcended their story and the book into a movie. Each can stand on their own and are a compliment to one and another. In addition, the acting, the cinematography, set design, editing, special effects and sound design encapsulated the 'Grace and Grit'.
Furthermore, this is a healing film for those who have walked a similar path as Ken and Treya did. It brings comfort, compassion, love and clear understanding of how love can strengthen everything. Even in the least likely of situations.
Bravo to all whom worked on this film.

This movie is filled with such passion about love and pain. Life is life!! After watching this movie with my wife I was able to appreciate life with her that much more. It goes to show how lucky we are to be with someone that you can share this life with. Ya, there will be road bumps ahead but its normal. At the end of the day it makes you a bit more humble towards your significant other. Great directing by Sebastian and his team! Great work!!

I thought this movie was such a wonderful love story. I had not ever heard of Ken Wilber before, but am very interested in the topic he has written about. I want to read The Spectrum of Consciousness and his other books (he's written more than 20). I think it was no mistake a free Showtime weekend landed me on this movie, to help me along my spiritual journey. I have not seen a good movie like this that makes me cry and remind me that it is possible to fine a love like no other. My Mom got treatment for throat cancer this year and it really touched me. My Mom did survive her Stage III cancer at 85 yrs old receiving radiation and chemos. This movie was a reminder life so previously and delicate.

My wife and I just got done watching GRACE & GRIT together and, although I don't usually post movie reviews, I felt compelled to do so after watching this one.
The story completely captured us from the very beginning, and took us on a touching journey filled with laughter, and tears, then more laughter, then more tears, and at the end left us feeling exhausted, yet uplifted at the same time. It also left us feeling truly grateful for one another as we held each other tightly.
If you're looking for a powerful & beautiful love story that transcends life itself, I cannot recommend this movie enough.

Good movie with a sad ending. Can't help but to think that Treya came in Ken's life as a bodhisattva (beings working for the benefit of others till all attain Buddhahood) which Ken achieves during the movie. Pain (mud) and enlightenment (lotus flower). People criticize the movie as sappy. It is multi level. Do not miss watching it...

Films aren't often made like this any more (which is a sorrow in itself) so when one is made like Grace and Grit it is all the more special. A love story at heart, it touches on all the most noble of human virtues (courage, forgiveness, selflessness, transcendence...) in a journey to the brink of despair.
Mena Suvari and Stuart Townsend are immaculate as the two ill-fated lovers. Don't worry, there's no dairy products (🧀) in their onscreen romance: it's fresh and playful, and profoundly moving in the finale. The script, cinematography and score are also masterfully crafted, allowing for a complete immersion in the story.

There's something truly special about this film. I found myself deeply engaged in performances that were so vulnerable and open. Like a paintbrush to canvas, Director Sebastian Siegel delicately carves out intimacy into each frame in a way I haven't really seen since Aronofsky - allowing the safety and freedom for actors to "be". The film also felt reminiscent of a theatrical play, adding to its dynamic storytelling. I also have to commend the casting, the casting was spot-on ... the relationships between the two were both playful and electrifying. Such determination to live and to love! Highly recommend.

Truly a moving movie with lots of emotions on screen and for the viewer. I cried, I laughed I got inspired and most of all wished I had the love and loyalty Ken displayed for his wife. This was a wonderful love story about compassion, passion, perseverance and endurance. Truly transcendental.

I've read the book Grace and Grit few years ago and it is based on a true story. I couldn't have imagined this beautiful love story told any other way. Sebastian Siegel writer and director, takes you on this incredible transcendent journey where not lot of filmmakers dare to go. It's a powerful and compelling story with beautiful storytelling all around. It left me feeling so many different emotions at the same time. I absolutely recommend this film.
