When a mad bomber tells you that he is holding a pen that can start and stop a timer on a bomb, the way to stop the bomb is pretty clear. When he tells you that you can stop him or stop the bomb, you don't settle for either choice, both are total stupidity on the part of the writers.
The solution is simple, and its not rocket science, you take the pen from the mad bomber and click it to stop the timer, remember the gun you have on him? Then you just take him away to a dark room, how that is not what happened blows my mind and totally devalues the writing of the show. I've really enjoyed the seemingly near realism of the writing for most episodes so far, 5 seasons in that's a pretty good accomplishment, so I have to wonder who wrote this plot point?
