- Walter O'Brien and his team of super geniuses are assigned, by the government, to help land airplanes after the communication system shuts down.
- Scorpion follows an eccentric genius and his team of geniuses who operate as a think tank called upon by the federal government to fix seemingly unsolvable emergencies. The financially-strapped team is hired by the federal government to fix defective software at the Los Angeles airport (LAX) that has knocked out all communications.—Denny Conroy
- (Loosely based on a true story) As a young boy, Walter O'Brien is arrested in his native Irish village by a SWAT team lead by US federal agent Cabe Gallo for hacking NASA computers, without malice. As an adult, he struggles with fellow IQ above Einstein geniuses to keep their problem solving LA firm afloat. Despite his virulent mistrust for Gallo, he can't afford to turn down $50,000 each from the government to help prevent a mass-lethal multiple crash as vital software for landing got messed up in LAX. Their talents are put to the test and prevail, despite time pressure and surprising setbacks. Meanwhile waitress Paige Dineen, whose boy Ralph's genius with autistic traits wasn't noticed before but is instantly picked up by Walter and his math whiz chess master Sylvester Dodd, joins them to add her social people skills to their brains, while Gallo's Homeland Security batch also proves most valuable. After the job, Walter gets the offer he anticipated.—KGF Vissers
