Sex & Nudity

  • Mort is asked if there was a lot of inbreeding in his family. He replies that he might be his own grandfather.
  • Minor crude jokes throughout the series, nothing too serious.

Violence & Gore

  • Some comic violence throughout the series
  • The character Mort survives many violent accidents. All of which comedic and non-graphic. Almost all of which involve explosions and most of such accidents happen in the 3rd and 5th seasons
  • Karl is a villain that appears throughout the series as a recurring character (meaning that he is neither a main character nor a minor character). In nearly all of his appearances, he threatens to kill King Julien and/or King Julien's friends. He never succeeds though. Almost none of his attacks involve injuring King Julien severely
  • King Julien's bodyguard Clover can regularly be seen punching or threatening to punch people. This is for comedic effect

Profanity

  • A few uses of "suck" in the episode "Raiders of the Lost Shark."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A few action scenes, mostly resulting in comic relief.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Two characters die in the series. One of which is a body double for King Julien. Said body double turns out to be evil and is soon swallowed by a crocodile. The second is King Julien himself. He willingly jumps on land mines in order to save a pineapple. He is quickly resurrected by some kind of pineapple ghost. Neither of the deaths are graphic in any way, though King Julien is shown to have slightly singed fur after the land mine ordeal
