After living many years together, two brothers discover that they are not blood related so square off in a mixed martial arts tournament to determine whose blood is stronger.

The story of two estranged brothers comes to play in the rink. David Fernandes quits his job as a Physics teacher to become a full-time fighter. He is willing to do whatever it takes to save his ill daughter. Monty Fernandes creates a storm on the internet with just one video. Finally getting the chance to prove himself to the world, he trains vigorously. Two brothers, two fighters, and one ultimate fight.

Peter Braganza former mix martial arts champion wants to make street fights legal and start a league called Right To Fight.Gary who played the sport in his younger days is released from jail he was an alcoholic and spoiled his sporting life.His younger son Monty comes to receive him.Gary's older son David is a physics teacher whose daughter Maria is suffering from kidney ailment.David does street fighting in order to meet the medical expenses his wife Jenny is worried for his life for this.Gary goes to meet David but he throws him and Monty out as Gary was responsible for death of his mother Maria and considers Monty as the cause as he was his illegitimate child.The government legalizes street fights and Peter Braganza invites fighters from over the world for the right to fight competition.Gary trains Monty for the league.But he is surprised to see David also taking part in it in order meet medical expenses of his daughter.—alex.mjacko@gmail.com

A media interaction takes place where street fighting issues are raised in Mumbai. Sports chairman Peter Braganza (Kiran Kumar) expresses his desires of making street fighting a legal sport and decides to open a league called Right 2 Fight (R2F). Meanwhile, in prison, Garson "Gary" Fernandes (Jackie Shroff), a recovering alcoholic, is released from his jail term and his younger foster son Monty (Sidharth Malhotra) comes to pick him up. Monty gets a bit enraged when his father asks about his elder son David (Akshay Kumar) and takes him away to their home. Gary acts protective of all the belongings of his wife, Maria, who died many years ago. David, now a physics teacher, who has a daughter suffering from a kidney disease, arranges money through street fights as he was once a promising MMA fighter when he was younger. This enrages his wife Jenny (Jacqueline Fernandez) as she is worried about David. Meanwhile, Gary, who misses his wife Maria (Shefali Shah), starts hallucinating about her and violently attacks a mirror from self-hating about how he destroyed his family. Monty rushes to stop and comfort his father, realizing how much regret he has. Gary then tries to meet David, but the latter ends up throwing Monty and Gary out of his house in a rage after Gary sees his granddaughter and learns David named her after his mother, Maria.

Monty is then revealed to be Gary's illegitimate child. Maria nevertheless loved Monty, and he was loved by young David (Meghan Jadhav) too. David was an overprotective elder brother. The two brothers had a close, loving relationship. Monty was always close to Gary & David hated Gary for being a drunk & was closer to his mother Maria. One night, Gary came home drunk and apologized to Maria by taking his lover Sarah's name, instead of Maria's. Maria confronted Gary about this in private and expressed her anger at having to tolerate his mistakes and put up with his behavior. In a drunk haze, Gary accidentally hit Maria and who was injured from hitting her head on the furniture and died. As she breathed her last, she also stretched her arm out to Monty; when Monty came near Maria, David angrily pushed him away and blamed him for Maria's condition. This created a rift between Gary, Monty and David.

David later loses his teacher's job since school principal Shobhit Desai (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) is perplexed after knowing about David's involvement in street fights and his daughter's disease. Monty, who wants to be a fighter, is then introduced by Suleiman Pasha (Ashutosh Rana), a fight agent. Suleiman fixes a match with Mustafa in which Monty is defeated. This enrages Gary, but Monty asks for a rematch with Mustafa, where Monty brutally defeats Mustafa (Honey Sharma) after listening to his father's advice and is declared a selected fighter for R2F by Peter. The fight is recorded and uploaded to YouTube, and soon Monty becomes an internet sensation. Monty undergoes training to become the R2F champion. Meanwhile, David, too, decides to be a full-time fighter, and Jenny encourages him to do so. Suleiman is initially unconvinced by David but arranges a match while Monty celebrates his victory at a bar. David is soon victorious in the fight and is accepted for R2F after convincing Suleiman of his true potential.

R2F begins its grand debut and soon becomes a sensation as fighters from all over the world show their interest in the league. Monty easily defeats his opponents till he goes up against Luca (Conan Stevens), a fighter who is notorious for brutally knocking out his opponents (Gama and Potter) but manages to knock him out, shocking the audience as he becomes the first finalist. Meanwhile David the underdog comes up with a robust game plan to outlast his opponents (Ronnie and Tenzin) to reach the semis. There, he fights Hammer; an aggressive fighter who kicks the cage, injuring Gary. This leads to David going in all out attack mode to violently assault Hammer in retaliation, and he too advances to the finale.

After beating their last opponents the brothers are now the finalists and their identities as siblings are revealed to the public causing massive media coverage for the R2F.

Gary, feeling guilty about his sons fighting each other instead of loving one another because of his mistake, leaves the arena. Jenny, David's students, principal, and everyone back at Suleiman's fight club watch the match, which becomes brutal from the heated rivalry between the brothers. Monty proves dominant in striking and throws in cheap shots to taunt David, Gary heads back to the arena when he sees the fight. During the fight, David breaks Monty's shoulder, which causes David concern as Monty refuses to give up. Gary rushes towards the cage and apologizes for his mistakes, and tells David not to direct his anger towards his brother. Monty continues to fight despite David's plea to stop. David gets Monty in a rear-naked choke-hold and tells Monty not to fight anymore. Monty, in turn, tells David to continue to choke him because David is selfish and never considered how Monty felt that night, telling him Maria was also his mother and how lonely he was without her and David in his life.

David moved to tears, now realizing how much pain he caused to his brother finally apologizes, and Monty allows David to win the championship. David takes Monty in his arms, and both brothers walk backstage, now having finally reconciled.turns to Monty and envisions kid Monty instead. Monty, on the other hand, agrees to continue the match despite a broken shoulder and blurred vision. The match continues.

David overpowers Monty once again. While David keeps Monty pinned to the ground, he asks Monty to stop fighting because "he can't hit Monty any longer." Monty, in turn, says that David definitely can continue. He says that David has always only thought of himself as he deserted Monty out of anger once Maria died. David is overridden with guilt and sorrow; Monty's comment brings him to tears as he apologizes. Seeing this, Monty surrenders the match.

Monty reconciles with David and the latter takes Monty away on his arms.
