Episode 2 of Series 2 sees the Danger 5 team (well, the four of them that are still alive) go undercover at a typical 80s high-school to look for Hitler, who is posing as student Johnny Hitler to get close to pretty blonde classmate Holly (Elizabeth Hay). Tucker has lost his marbles, Ilsa looks like Amy Winehouse, Pierre is still black (?), and Jackson remains fixated on Ilsa.
So far, this series has proved far more excessive than Series 1, but less effective for it, the makers trying much too hard to outdo all that has gone before. It's more tasteless in nature, with masturbation gags, female nudity, dick jokes, and lots of gore (including an exploding head), which, on paper, sounds like a recipe for a fun time to me, but which actually proves quite tiresome and a lot less funny than the previous series' cool 60s style. Maybe I'm still adjusting to the new approach, and will eventually come around, but I'm not so sure.
This episode's most outrageous moments all feature Hitler, and include the Führer attacking a naked girl in the shower with a shark, urinating on wolf-headed henchman Carlos Mendez, and going on a killing spree armed with four flaming chainsaws.
