Exactly what I wanted

It's been a really long time since last time I watched Danger 5. It's such a simple plot but with intricate scenes and trash-level smart dialogs. I like how they portrait each decade, but I must admit I'm a bit confused about what happened with Pierre.

During the long time between seasons, all the characters changed a lot. The war is over, but everything is a lot colder. Especially in Russia. In this episode the blonde Danger 5 is getting married but the 80's Nazi show up. Just think that are too many plot points in this episode, but it makes sense as you see the preview for the next episodes. By the way, try to track the official Facebook page: you'll probably get anxious, but there's a lot of videos and interviews to keep you interested in the show.

This is a series you should watch with your friends, being alone in a room is definitely not recommended. The laugh must spread around the room.

Danger 5, 80s style.

The 1980s: The Danger 5 team have long since disbanded, but after their old war-time leader Colonel Chestbridge is shot and killed by Hitler dressed as Santa, the old friends reunite to once again battle the evil German dictator.

In an effort to outdo the madcap nature of the first series, the makers of Danger 5 have dialled up the insanity for Season 2, which proves much more of an assault on the senses than the 60s-inspired first series and leaves one reeling at the sheer excess.

To give some idea of how seriously bonkers this all is, the previously Caucasian Pierre is now black (no explanation given), Jackson hires Russian hookers to satisfy his fixation with Ilsa and has disturbing flashbacks to North Korea (where he was sexually abused by a Korean guard wearing lipstick), killer prawns with laser eyes attack Tucker and Claire at their wedding, and a samurai sword wielding wolf-headed villain called Carlos Mendez delivers an unexpected death blow to one member of Danger 5.

Just as it took me a while to warm to the first series, I suspect that it might be quite a few more episodes down the line before I am able to appreciate the manic approach of series 2. If at all.

Loud and Obnoxious!

I'm a huge fan of Season 1, so this was a massive disappointment for me. The show is almost unrecognisable from Season 1. It seems to have lost its special charm.

I almost couldn't finish the episode. It was just a bunch of pointless loud noises, screaming and really unfunny jokes. I also hate the new Pierre.

Hopefully the rest of season 2 is more creative and interesting, and better paced.

The only genuine laugh from me was probably the Bomb-bushka doll.
