Emmy-winning actor Peter Dinklage has made a point of refusing to take stereotypical roles commonly reserved for little people (LP), but he’s never been one to address the challenges that he and other LP actors face in Hollywood. That changed during an interview on Marc Maron’s January 24 “Wtf” podcast. During a conversation regarding Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” Dinklage praised Disney for casting a Latina actress as Snow White but condemned them for continuing to present what he believed were outdated stereotypes.
“Literally no offense to anything, but I was sort of taken aback,” he said. “They were very proud to cast a Latino actress as Snow White, but you’re still telling the story of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.’ Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me. You’re progressive in one way,...

E.W. Scripps will launch two digital multicast networks, Doozy and Defy TV, in July, taking advantage of the broadcaster’s expanded bandwidth for channels following its acquisition of Ion Media.
Doozy is aimed at women in the 25-54 demographic who are big consumers of reality TV shows such as “Storage Wars,” “Married at First Sight,” “Hoarders” and “Little Women: LA.” Defy TV is aimed at men in the same demographic with unscripted series about everyday people and those with adventurous professions including “Pawn Stars,” “Forged in Fire,” “American Pickers” and “The Curse of Oak Island.”
Doozy and Defy TV are set to bow July 1. Both channels will be available in more than 75% of U.S. TV households. That’s an important threshold for commanding national advertising deals.

Additionally, Lifetime has greenlighted a new spinoff series, Married at First Sight: Unmatchables with an eight-episode order and has given a blind commitment to another series from the Married at First Sight franchise producer, Kinetic Content. The fight, and the clip, culminates in Christy telling Todd, "I think I need a break," so it looks like we're going to have to tune into tonight's episode to see if the two make up! Despite the fact that Brittney Guzman only appeared on Little Women: La for one season, she left quite the lasting impression on fans. However, in the years following her 2015 departure from the hit reality series, the former TLC starlet has remained mostly off the radar. Which begs the question: What has Brittney been up to?! For starters, the 25-year-old describes herself as an "actor, model, and dancer" on Instagram. Pretty impressive, right? So, let’s break down each. Since her role on Little Women, Brittney hasn’t completely abandoned TV. In fact, she appeared on Season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race during a special Little Women: La episode. The theme was The Wizard of Oz and it was magical. She absolutely killed it in an all-green ensemble — wig and makeup included! A post shared by The Real Freakabritt...

There is drama for the stars Little Women: La this week during a group game of kickball. With some already upset about Mika Aguilar’s recent activity, things go way left after Terra Jole loses her temper and a fight breaks out. The kickball game was arranged by Mika, who always wants the ladies to do things that are physical, just like the time she took them horseback riding. Yet again, it seems that some are upset about Mika’s choice of activity, but this time it’s all about the team name and whether it is offensive. It isn’t until Terra is […]

Things got really intense between Mika Winkler and Christy Gibel on Little Women: La. Mika is the newest cast member on the hit Lifetime reality TV series, and she's already accidentally earned herself the title of villain after fans interpreted some of the comments she made to Christy as "fat-shaming." But in an exlcusive interview with In Touch, Mika explained her side of the story and she said that she was "absolutely devastated" by the way her fight with Christy played out on camera. "All of us had been trying to encourage Christy to change her lifestyle and eat healthier an exercise more — only for the reason that she is terrified of surgery," Mika said, explaining why she had made comments about the foods that Christy decided to indulge in during the cast trip to Slovang, CA. "She’s backed out on one surgery and she almost died under the knife on her previous surgery,...

Mika Aguilar hasn’t made a great impression on Tonya Banks. In fact, the newest addition to the Little Women: La cast seems to be racking up enemies faster than she’s making friends. Now, she can count Christy Gibel out too after Tonya takes an opportunity to fill Christy in on some of the less than friendly comments Mika has made about her. What should have been a fun trip to Solvang turned into a drama-filled catfight between the Little Women: La stars. Tonya, who is understandably angry after Mika “pretend peed” in her drink, decided to continue said drama by […]

Not cool. Little Women: La star Mika Winkler decided to pull a prank on her co-star Tonya Banks — and Tonya didn't think it was funny at all. In fact, the reality star confronted Mika about it and it got seriously heated. Check out the video above to watch the exclusive clip! In last week's episode, Mika also stirred up some drama with Tonya, and clearly the two haven't been getting along. In the episode, the ladies took a girl's trip to Slovang, CA, and Mika decided it was the perfect time to basically shame Tonya for getting plastic surgery. "Why'd you get lipo, you weren't fat," Mika told Tonya. Mika Aguilar is becoming a familiar face to fans of Little Women: La — but who is she and what’s her background? Mika was added to the cast for Season 7 and it hasn’t taken her long to stir up quite a bit of drama with the other ladies. Mika lists herself as an actress and it’s not due to her appearances on the Lifetime reality show. She has quite a few films under her belt according to her IMDb profile listed under her maiden name, Mika Winkler. That said, Mika isn’t exactly a starring actress in her many roles. […]

Briana Renee’s ex-husband Matt Grundhoffer has been accused of more shocking behavior that certainly won’t be playing out for viewers on Little Women: La. The former reality star has been accused of sexually accusing a minor in a shocking new report from Radar Online. Back in December 2017, we learned that Briana and Matt were getting divorced and the former Little Women: La star accused her estranged husband of some pretty terrible things. Among her long list of grievances was a claim that Briana found messages between Matt and an unidentified woman where they were reportedly “involved bestiality and proposals […]

She's on one today! It seems like Little Women: La star Mika Winkler is a little fed up with all of her friends' drama this season, and during a girl's trip to Slovang, CA, she really lets it be known that she isn't here for their bulls--t. In an exclusive sneak peek of tonight's episode, Mika really goes in on two castmates in particular — Christy Gibel and Tonya Banks. Watch the videe above to see our exclusive Little Women: La sneak peek! It's unclear why Mika came for Christy and Tonya in front of the entire group, but her jabs were pretty mean. First, Mika basically shamed Tonya for getting plastic surgery. "Why'd you get lipo, you weren't fat," Mika told Tonya. Tonya explained that she wanted to have some fat from her back area removed, then Mika's pal Jasmine Arteaga Sorge chimed in and asked Mika if she would ever get plastic surgery.

On Season 7 of Little Women: La, Tonya Banks and Terra Jole clashed over Terra’s Black Girl Moscato idea for two reasons. The first being that the name of Terra’s wine was shocking and many found it offensive. The second reason was that Tonya was working on her own wine brand and Terra knew it. Last week on Little Women: La, Tonya confronted Terra. She made it clear that she wasn’t okay with her friend starting up a new wine brand and gave her friend an ultimatum about it. Now, Tonya is busy showing off her own new wine creation. […]

Best friends forever? On this week's episode of Little Women: La, Terra Jolé told her friend, Tonya Banks, that she was dropping Black Girl Moscato. Earlier this season, Terra caused quite a stir when she asked her co-star, who is black, to be the face of the brand. Tonya, however, already has a wine company of her own and was extremely offended by the gesture. Watch the video above for all the exclusive details! Last month, Terra — who is white — revealed to The Blast that the name was supposed to be "fun and tongue-in-cheek" rather than racially offensive. "There [are] a lot of companies that support and give back to black women but might not have an all-black workforce... people took offense to mine but not White Girl Rose [started by Ig star The Fat Jew]," she said. Yet despite selling her shares, Terra's relationship with Tonya hasn't improved. Terra revealed, "I thought...

You go, girl! Despite making the announcement in January that she’d be leaving Little Women: La after six seasons, Briana Renee is doing just fine. As fans of the show sadly remember, the mother-of-two took to Instagram on January 25 to let her viewers down gently. "Ty for all the love! It's true that I have chosen to not make a return to Lwla," she wrote. "I will continue to focus on my kids, health, and my music career. I am grateful for such an experience!" While her explanation for leaving the reality series holds true to this day, people speculate that her reasons went way deeper. Briana’s announcement came just weeks after she filed for divorce from her husband Matt Grundhoffer after three years of marriage. In December, Briana was granted a restraining order against Matt, alleging verbal abuse and death threats. According to TMZ, the 35-year-old knew...

Apology not accepted! The stars of Lifetime's hit reality TV series Little Women: La are busy making money moves this season, and Tonya Banks is definitely working building her business and becoming a boss lady — that's why she had no time for the shade that Mika Aguilar threw her way during their co-star Terra Jolé's sleepover party. Instead of causing drama at the function, Tonya decided to walk away, but in an exclusive sneak peek from this week's episode, she's ready to confront Mika. Watch the video above to see their tense confrontation! Tonya was especially upset with Mika because of what she said to her at Terra's party.
