- A woman explains to another woman that her son has 'grown', she is then shown swivelling her forearm into a vertical position
- A man and woman comically become entangled with some possessed women during this one says to another, "Why not join us for a threesome?".

- During a flashback, an entire family is murdered at a wedding ceremony; characters are repeatedly stabbed, a child's head is smashed against a block, an elderly woman's throat is cut and a woman is strangled. Each of these acts results in sight bloody injury detail; there corpses are then shown dumped into an open pit and buried
- A man is shown kneeling on the ground with a knife plunged into him from the top of his head following a stabbing, the blade is then shown gaping through his mouth
- A group of thugs are possessed and are supernaturally compelled into stab themselves and one another, resulting in some bloody detail.
- Characters are shown engaging in fistfights, in which crunchy punches, kicks and in one instance a headbutt are delivered; characters are also shown being smashed into glass panels and windows.

- There is an atmosphere of sustained threat throughout the film
- There are some jump moments, which include the sudden appearance of a sinister woman and sight of characters and objects being moved by unseen forces; characters are also shown experiencing some chills and there is a lingering sense that something is amiss when they are shocked by strange figures lurking in the dark and sinister voices are heard.
- In another scene a possessed woman terrorises her loved ones, although the other characters react rather comically when dealing with the possessed protagonists, the ghastly-looking characters and the sense of threat that surrounds them is strongly depicted within prolonged sequences.
