This is one of the worst movies that I have ever watched, and most of the ratings are 1 star or 2 stars.

It is extremely suspicious that all the negative reviews appear to have been deleted. This sort of thing should not be possible.

Tom Sizemore deserves better than this. Give this man a role in a decent movie.

I really liked this independent horror film, it had a really cool ambience and the film quality hits the right spot for a creepy, unusual story. I found the plot very inspired and different from most scary movies, but perhaps there was too much going on for it to really get the point across best. Otherwise it was wonderful and crazy. Its refreshing to see such fresh faces. Overall very fun to see :D.

Thriller with some horror aspects

It played more like a thriller with some horror touches. I like low budget and this is definitely low budget. If you are going to watch this, and I do this you should, you need to be ready for a rough quality. I like indie films- and this is definitely indie. I would probably give it a lower rating except that I dig these homemade films.

Hats off to Cybil Lake and the talented cast and crew of Central Park Dark! What a story! Brilliant! Loved how Cybil's character, Anna was so warm and loving around children but was the Robinhood of relationships...evening up the chips, however necessary, and at any price. She was captivating! Tom Sizemore was so, soooo believable as the tortured alcoholic spinning out of control. What an actor! All supporting roles were perfectly cast and helped to draw you into the plot. And a bonus...gorgeous footage of Manhattan!! It'll be nostalgic for anyone who has ever lived there or even just visited. Hope to see more from Cybil Lake soon!!

Scary thriller

I really enjoyed Tom Sizemore and his performance. Central Park dark actually had some decent turn around surprises. The writing was actually really good.

GREAT FILM!! Cybil Lake shines as Anna Black, a woman scorned by unrequited love. Her devilish, satanic ways add to the allure and dark theme of the film as she takes the steps necessary to get what she wants!! Tom Sizemore runs for his life and for those he loves in his desperate pursuit to rid himself of the mistake known as Anna Black. This story has a great backstory of Central Park and its history. Great job. Support indie film making. It truly is the future!! Congratulations, Cybil!!

This movie was amazing. Everything was just all round well done from the acting, to the sound effects and editing. Also the background of the movie was near perfect because you could really understand the situation and what it would have been like to be there.

Went into this with little to no idea what it was. Pleasantly surprised! Lake's performance as an obsessed, possibly undead woman is absolutely riveting, and Tom Sizemore also has his star moments. This movie is a great option for thriller lovers, but it's completely different than anything I've seen. It will send chills down your spine, but you will never guess what ends up happening. I highly recommend!

Unique suspenseful story with gorgeous NYC footage

The footage of Central Park was an absolute feast for the eyes, capturing numerous sites and seasons. Really nice varied cinematography throughout. I loved learning about Seneca Village, and how the story connected that historical period with a modern-day dark enchantress. Solid acting from all the primary cast members, especially Tom Sizemore and of course Cybil Lake, who played the main character and wrote and directed the film. I appreciated that it wasn't super long - and kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time!

Cybil Lake is at turns both terrifying and humorous in her adept portrayal of a woman obsessed. Before I watched it, I heard this film described as a cross between "Fatal Attraction" and "The Witch" and that sounds about right! Great story shot largely in and around Central Park. It's a beautiful setting. Tom Sizemore doesn't disappoint and the rest of the cast is great as well. It's mystery draws you in and keeps you guessing until the end. Good film.

This movie is a wild ride of fear, excitement, and mystery. Cybil Lake plays Anna, who seems like the typical ex mistress, but also has the power of dark magic on her side. Cybil who also wrote, produced, and directed this story- weaves in beautiful cinematography of New York's Central park, and shows a side of history about Central Park that I never knew existed. This movie is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, I enjoyed it very much and found myself routing for Anna, even though she is possessed by the dark side.

Sizemore Seizes!

I saw the trailer for "Central Park Dark" and noticed it was at a level above most independent horror movies. I also was attracted to seeing Tom Sizemore since i had not seen a movie with him in a while. I watched the movie and it was nice to see Sizemore in a complex yet loving family man character. Not only did I enjoy seeing the directing work of the horror/suspense/psychological thriller by Ms. Cybil Lake, but also getting to see it take place in the Big Apple. I feel the cinematography, editing, sound and music were consistent and that once you start watching, you will be eager to see what happens next!

Really enjoyable movie. Keeps you on your seat from beginning til end. Unpredictable main character and great supporting cast. Stop reading and see it for yourself with family and friends. Can't wait for the next Mrs.Lake movie. You'll appreciate it a lot.

Wonderfully creepy!

Loved Cybil Lake as Anna!! She was so mercurial!! Scary and funny at the same time. Totally unpredictable. And Tom Sizemore is great in this. It was fun to see him deal with her. Loved the cast! And love the setting. It was like a demented love affair with Central Park.

Excellent Horror film on a low budget - amazing performances

Loved this film - clearly ultra indie - but I loved it. I love these tiny films. Tom Sizemore is back! Cybil Lake shines as Anna an unrequited lover. Central Park is gorgeous and super scary at night. There was some simple and truly scary moments. It's a fun cool movie that entertained me throughout. Much more than I can say about so many other massive budget films.

This movie was pulling me in from the beginning. And Lake and Sizemore did a great job. The support they gave each other was great. The story line was riveting and definitely was worth the watch. Anna played by Lake was so New York for me. This movie played on little unspoken things we all as New Yorkers believe happens in Central Park after Dark.

What an incredible film! Hats off to the cast and crew for creating such a gripping and well told story. I loved the way central park's history was used,I actually didn't know any of that before watching the film. Plus, seeing a pre- COVID New York City was a delightful bonus to a film I already couldn't take my eyes away from. 10/10 will be recommending to all my film loving friends!

Fantistic indie film by Ms. Cybil Lake

This film was very enjoyable to watch! I especially loved how the film was able to draw from the elements around the central park area and use it as a foundation for a really solid horror story. Cybil Lake was brilliant in her performance and Tom Sizemore really did his character justice. The chemistry between them was definitely fun to watch .

Hats off to the talented Ms. Lake for crafting this brilliant piece of work. Looking forward to seeing more of her acting and directing in the future.

What a concept! Seriously, Central Park really IS dark. It's the scene of a mass demonizing and razing to the ground of the entire Seneca Village of African Americans and Irish immigrants. Who knew??? The supernatural element of the dead returning is plenty justified!!! Cybil Lake has done a superb job of researching, writing and personifying one of those "butchered" Irish. Lake has resurrected those wronged villagers. Have Tom Sizemore and his daughter inherited the consequences of their forefathers' iniquities??? Great acting, pace, and unexpected shots of the Big Apple keep us on the edge of our seats. Kudos to all involved!!!
